Here’s Your Quick Peek:

Please Note: Carolina Poodle Rescue requires a meet and greet where everyone living in the home - all people and all dogs - will come to our farm to meet dogs. This is non-negotiable. Please do not apply if you and your family can't make this commitment.

Bentley is the kind of dog who makes ordinary days sweeter — an affectionate, goofy companion who’s delighted to be part of whatever you’re doing. His previous owners surrendered him to a shelter saying he “needs too much,” but here at the rescue, we’ve gotten to know a wonderful boy who loves people and is eager to please. Give him a moment to meet you, and his sweet personality shines!

Must have:
a loving family ready to include him in daily life

Exercise: daily walks, playtime, and outings with his people

Best with: active households; adopters who enjoy a close, affectionate companion

Not ideal for: apartments; homes where he’ll spend long hours alone; older dogs who prefer quiet

Energy level: medium — playful and goofy, then ready to snuggle

Bentley’s caregivers describe him as a sweet, respectful boy who “just loves love.” He is crate trained and does well with grooming and handling. Bentley enjoys daily activity, time with his people, and being included in everyday routines. He’s an enthusiastic walking buddy who could use some practice with loose‑leash manners. He has shown some separation anxiety and barking, so he will do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods.

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: We would consider Bentley to be around more mature children

Cats: We can test Bentley if needed

Fun fact:
Treats and snuggles are Bentley favorites, but following his favorite person around might be his number‑one joy.
