Clickbait: You Won’t Believe What This Little Dog Does Next!
1 year old • 14 lbs • Poodle-Spaniel mix • very low-shedding
We regret to inform you that the headline is accurate: this dog really is ridiculously cute. Meet Clickbait, a 14-pound Poodle mix (maybe with Spaniel?) rescued from the shelter who has turned his foster home into a nonstop stream of wagging tails, toy chases, dramatic reunions, and bedtime snuggles. If you’re looking for a quiet little decorative pillow, keep scrolling. If you love a young dog with personality, enthusiasm, and a strong opinion about being picked up (please!), you’ve found your match.
Your Morning Notification Has Arrived
Around 6:30 a.m., Clickbait begins stretching at the foot of his foster parents’ bed. Then come the sniffs and licks: a gentle reminder that your subscription to morning has officially renewed. He sleeps through the night by their feet and wakes ready to get the day started.
First stop is the backyard for a potty break. Then he eagerly welcomes the household’s kids as they arrive in the kitchen, tail wagging and feet bouncing. Breakfast is around 7:30 a.m., and he tends to eat his meals in installments. A little meat topper certainly helps keep his interest.
His morning walk usually happens around 8:30 a.m., with an occasional early-afternoon outing when the weather cooperates. His favorite walk is the one after dinner, when the whole family comes along. During the day, he spends much of his time in the family room and kitchen, enjoying the couch or settling near his foster mom’s feet.
The Personality Reveal
Clickbait spent his first day quietly exploring his new surroundings. His appetite was initially subdued, but he had no reservations about climbing onto his foster parents’ bed that first night. By days two and three, the full Clickbait experience had launched.
He is joyful, curious, affectionate, and especially devoted to his foster mom. He follows her around the house, keeping tabs on everything from laundry to office work. When she comes home, his greeting looks like an audition for the gymnastics team: bouncing, hopping, and celebrating with his whole body. He may also bark enthusiastically to request an immediate pickup.
And yes, this boy has a voice. His fosters think he could join the Italian opera. Clickbait uses barking, little whimpers, and expressive eye contact to communicate, so his future family should appreciate a companion who sometimes has something to say.
Once he’s tired, the busy little entertainer becomes a trusting cuddle bug. He climbs into your arms and settles in, perfectly content to let someone else handle the evening’s programming.
Play Now, Snuggle Later
Clickbait loves fetch, chasing tossed toys, and playing with his foster family’s active 11- and 15-year-old kids. Stuffed animals, tennis balls, and socks all catch his attention, though he’s still learning which items belong on his approved toy list. Beach balls should consider themselves warned.
He is very much a young dog, with plenty of bouncing, chewing, and playful mouthing. He sometimes mouths hands or tugs at clothing during excited play. His adopters will need to consistently redirect him toward appropriate toys and help him practice keeping four paws on the floor. A family with older, dog-savvy kids who can participate in that training could be a lovely fit.
He also enjoys activities that put his curious brain to work. When his fosters hid a treat in a tower of paper cups, he successfully located the correct cup—and then decided the cup itself was the prize. His enthusiasm is excellent. His understanding of the assignment is developing.
