Denny lp
Adult · Male · Jindo (Korean) / Terrier / Mixed

My name is DENNY (dalnimi) and here is a little info about me. Breed: Jindo MixAge: Approximately 22 months old / Born around December 2024Gender: MaleWeight: Approximately 19 kg / 41.9 lbsHeight: 56 cm / 22 inches, ground to shoulderHighlight(s): Friendly, playful, affectionate, good with dogs and cats, good house mannersI am a bright and friendly Jindo mix with a white coat and soft brown markings on my ears and back. I enjoy being around people, love to play, and show affection once I feel comfortable. I was born in a redevelopment area in Ansan, South Korea. My mother had been left behind when her owner moved away, and she gave birth to me and my siblings in an unsafe outdoor environment.
My family did not have enough food, water, warmth, or a safe place to stay, and we were at risk of cold and hunger. On January 26, 2025, when I was about 50 days old, my family was rescued from a torn vinyl greenhouse and moved to a foster home. There, I was able to grow up safely with people, dogs, and cats. My siblings have found their families. My sister Sunny is now living the gopod life in Vancouver. Now I am ready to find a loving family of my own. When I meet new people, I may first approach with curiosity, smell them carefully, and observe them. Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy being near people and may come closer to ask for attention in a sweet way. I enjoy playing with other dogs. I have lived around cats and have shown that I can coexist with them. I am not fearful or aggressive. However, I can be sensitive if someone suddenly grabs me, touches my head too quickly, or handles me roughly. I do best with people who are gentle, clear, and respectful. My best home would be with an affectionate family who enjoys walks, playtime, and spending time with their dog. I would do well with people who can give me daily exercise, structure, and loving attention. I could live with another friendly dog, especially one who enjoys running and playing. I may not be the best match for a very timid senior dog or a dog who does not enjoy interaction, because I am playful and social. I may also do well in a home with cats, as I have lived with cats in foster care and have shown that I can coexist with them. A home with older, respectful children may be possible. A home with very young children may not be the best fit for me because sudden loud sounds or rough handling may make me uncomfortable.I get along with: Dogs: Yes. I love playing with other dogs and get along best with friendly, playful dogs. I may not enjoy dogs who approach me in a rude, threatening, or overly pushy way. Cats: Yes. I have lived with cats in foster care and I do not dislike cats. Kids: Unknown. I may be okay with older, respectful children, but a home with very young children may not be the best fit for me.I know some basic manners and I respond well to people. I know basic commands such as sit, wait, and paw, but I will still need continued training in my new home. I have good house manners. I do not show food guarding or resource guarding. I can spend time alone for several hours without showing separation anxiety. I do not cry at the door when people leave. I am also good in the car and have done very well during vet visits. Some. I enjoy walks and walk well overall, but I may pull a little when I see something interesting or want to move ahead. Please be prepared to continue leash training and hold the leash securely while I adjust to my new environment. I am indoor potty trained and use pee pads well. Please help me learn the potty routine in my new home as I settle in.No known health issues at this time. I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescu
