Young · Male · Jindo (Korean) / Mixed

Hi there, I'm Fondue! Yep, just like the delicious dish—warm, cheesy, and totally lovable!Breed: Jindo mixAge: 2 yearsGender: Male Weight: 39 lb Height: 15 inchesHighlight(s): Good with familiar dogs, affectionate, socialI was found wandering the streets, with my sister. I had a microchip, but sadly, no one came looking for me. My previous owner had moved away and passed me on to a neighbor, but that trail went cold. So here I am now—on a new journey to find my true forever home.I’ve spent some time with a lovely foster family and now staying at a doggy hotel, where I'm making lots of furry friends.

I absolutely adore people. Just pet me, and I’ll flash you my happiest grin! When it comes to other pups, I'm very good with familiar dogs. However, When meeting new dogs---especially small ones---I will need supervision. I do much better with similar-sized or larger dogs. Once I get to know another dog and feel comfortable, I read doggie signals well and love a good play session. As for cats… let’s just say I get a little too excited when I see them. So, a cat-free home would be best for everyone.I’m curious, bouncy, and full of energy! But I turned 2 years old. It means I already passed my puppyhood. I LOVE walks and exploring the world around me. Bird-watching is one of my favorite hobbies. Right now, I tend to pull on the leash and can get reactive when I see other dogs on our walks. But with your patient guidance—or a trainer's help—I know I can improve. Other good-to-know stuff: I'm about 90% housetrained I’m crate-trained I don’t bark much, but when I do—yep, you’ll hear it! I may be short-legged, but I’m a jumper! I can clear a 90cm fence like it’s nothing I know I’m not perfect (yet!), but I’m eager to learn and even more eager to love. If you're looking for a cheerful, loyal companion who’s always up for adventure (and bird-watching), I might just be your perfect match. So… do you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for a little guy named Fondue? Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situat
