Meet the Future Puppies: Your Forecast Still Calls for Fluff!
Our crystal ball has already proven itself: Fortune Teller has found her forever home! Her sisters, Omen and Oracle, are still waiting to see what their futures hold. These two fluffy Border Collie/Aussie girls, about 10-12 weeks old, were rescued from a shelter, and each is looking for her own adoptive home, with her own special brand of puppy magic.
These girls are soft, squirmy bundles of enthusiasm. Pick one up for a little nuzzle and she’ll happily soak up the affection before wiggling off to wrestle, explore, or show you just how exciting it is to be a puppy.
Omen: All Signs Point to a Good Girl
Despite her mysterious name, Omen is sending out some very reassuring signals. Her foster describes her as one of the most adaptable puppies they’ve ever had: inside, outside, in her crate, with people, entertaining herself, or playing with her sister. It’s all good with Omen.
She’s the clever, curious sister who enjoys company but also knows how to occupy herself with a toy. When the humans settle on the couch, she’s happy to relax on a nearby dog bed. She might follow you to see what you’re up to, although an interesting discovery along the way can quickly change her itinerary.
Omen has a playful side, complete with zoomies and sibling wrestling, but she doesn’t need someone directing every moment of her day. She could fit nicely into a variety of homes, with children, another dog, or as the only pup, provided she gets the attention, playtime, and guidance every growing puppy needs.
Oracle: Your Personal Welcome Committee
Oracle’s prediction is that wherever you’re going, she’d like to come along. The most people-focused of the sisters, she is the first to run over when you visit and loves being picked up. She enjoys sitting beside you for pets, keeping track of your activities, and making sure she hasn’t missed an opportunity to say hello.
Her signature move? Sitting on your foot and hanging on when you take a step. Why walk independently when your favorite person offers such convenient transportation?
Oracle loves a good wrestling match and can happily spend some time with a toy on her own. She isn’t a long-session lap cuddler, but she clearly treasures human company and can get a little sad when left alone for a while. Her ideal home will include people who have plenty of time for companionship, play, and helping her grow comfortable with time apart.
A Day in the Life of the Future
The sisters sleep in a crate overnight and wake around 7:30 a.m., ready for a trip to the yard. They currently graze on their food rather than following set mealtimes. Their days alternate between yard adventures, living-room play, and well-earned naps on the floor, dog beds, or couch.
They love running, chasing, and wrestling together. Once the excitement winds down, they’re happy to find a comfortable spot and snooze. These puppies believe in both living life to the fullest and taking a very thorough nap afterward.
Friends, First Lessons, and Puppy Preparations
Both girls enjoy playing with the neighborhood children, ages seven to nine. They also live with a cat who prefers to keep his distance. The puppies watch him with interest and sometimes offer a few hopeful barks to invite him to play, but they are learning to respect his space. Any introductions to a resident cat should continue slowly and with supervision.
Like all teething puppies, they enjoy chewing and tugging, so suitable puppy toys and a carefully puppy-proofed home are essential. They aren’t frequent barkers, although an exciting wrestling match or a highly desirable toy can inspire a little commentary.
