Gabby update: turns out this house hippo has even more to offer.

Now that Gabby has had some time to decompress and really settle in, we're getting to see more of her personality, and honestly... this girl is a gem.

She's still the easygoing, soft-energy dog we knew she was. She's potty trained, crate trained, great with other dogs, affectionate, and very happy to hang out with her people. But now that she's comfortable, we're also seeing that Gabby likes to do stuff.

She LOVES walkies. She LOVES car rides. And, as a respectable Pittie, she believes regular sunbathing is an essential part of maintaining good health. Give her a sunny spot and she'll recharge those Pittie batteries.

Then she's ready to go back inside and resume her very important work of being near her people.

Gabby is still a Stage 5 clinger with a very loose interpretation of personal space. She's still a fan of couches and beds. And the only thing she likes more than being on the couch is being on the couch with her person.

Basically, she's got a pretty great balance going on: she can go for a walk, hop in the car for an adventure, soak up some sun, play with her dog friends, and then happily curl up at home with you.

And that's what makes Gabby such a great dog.

She doesn't need a project home. She doesn't need someone to teach her how to be a dog. She just needs someone to recognize what a great dog she already is.
