Meet Gemma, a beautiful 4 year old spayed female Belgian Malinois searching for a loving foster or forever home. Gemma originally was rescued from euthanasia and brought into rescue from a CA shelter over a year ago and found a family. Unfortunately, due to her current owners no longer being able to care for her, she is finding herself coming back into rescue. Gemma has a medium to high drive and would do best in a home with no other animals. Gemma is everything people love about the breed: intelligent, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people. She enjoys being involved in daily life and thrives on companionship, making her a wonderful partner for someone looking for a close bond with their dog.Gemma is crate trained, knows her commands in German amd English, and appreciates structure, consistency, and clear expectations.

She is affectionate, well-mannered, and loves spending time with her people. She enjoys having a job to do, learning new things, and being an active part of the family.Gemma would thrive with someone experienced with working breeds or anyone who understands the value of consistency, leadership, and engagement. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
