Lana

Lana’s foster-home report card: no accidents, no destruction, plenty of naps—and every toy removed from the basket.

Lana is a wonderfully floppy, affectionate girl with the gentle nature of a Great Pyrenees and the quick mind of a Malinois. Her foster describes her as a “soft puddle of a dog” because when she leans in for a cuddle, she completely melts into you.

She’s friendly with the people and dogs she meets and did well during her cat test. She loves playing, exploring and splashing in water, but she also has a very good off switch. Once the fun is over, Lana is happy to stretch out at your feet or settle onto her bed for a serious nap.

Even better, Lana has already mastered many of the things that make bringing home a new dog easier:

House trained with no accidents in her foster home
Crate trained
Comfortable being left home without becoming destructive
Social with people and other dogs
Smart, food motivated and ready to keep learning

Her one household habit? Lana believes toys are best enjoyed when every single one has been removed from the basket and scattered around the room. Putting them away is apparently a job for the humans.

Lana would love a home where she can be included in walks, outings and water-filled adventures—and then come home and nap close to her people. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion who can join in the fun without needing to be entertained every minute, Lana could be a wonderful fit.
