Oakley is a soft-hearted girl whose happy tail and sweet smile are worth taking the time to earn. She may be a little shy when meeting someone new, but once she begins to feel safe, her affectionate personality starts to shine. Before long, you may find her happily wagging her tail just because you're sitting nearby and giving her a little attention. This lovely 2.5-year-old Lab mix weighs 46 pounds and has a moderate energy level. She enjoys leisurely walks, tasty treats, and one of her favorite pastimes, snuggling on the couch with her person. Oakley is housetrained, does well in her crate, and walks nicely on leash, making her an easy companion for daily routines. Oakley has done well with the other dogs and cat in her foster home. She has also been around chickens and a horse, which she simply ignores. New people and unfamiliar situations can make her timid and a little jumpy, so she will appreciate a calm, patient family that gives her time to settle in and build trust. She is still getting comfortable in her foster home, and there is likely even more of her sweet personality waiting to emerge. Oakley would love a quieter home where she can form a close bond with her people, enjoy daily walks and activities, and then curl up beside them for a relaxing evening.
