Here’s Your Quick Peek:

Please Note: Carolina Poodle Rescue requires a meet and greet where everyone living in the home - all people and all dogs - will come to our farm to meet dogs. This is non-negotiable. Please do not apply if you and your family can't make this commitment.

Oreo is a big, goofy, affectionate Bernese Mountain Dog who loves people and wants to be part of everything her family is doing. She came to CPR with limited socialization and has been learning indoor manners, leash skills, and how to feel secure with her people. She is sweet, energetic, and eager to please.

Must have: fenced yard, patient adopter, structure, positive training, adopted dedicated to teaching her how to walk on a leash

Exercise: high — daily walks, playtime, and room to run

Best with: active adults; homes with older, considerate children; experienced handlers

Not ideal for: apartments; homes with young children; families unable to manage a strong, enthusiastic dog

Energy level: high — playful, goofy, affectionate

Oreo is crate trained, learning leash manners, and adjusting well to indoor life. She loves people, enjoys activity, and thrives with consistent guidance. She is generally social with everyone but can be more timid around men. With gentle interaction and positive experiences, she warms up and shows her affectionate, goofy personality.

Good with dogs: yes — can be an only dog or have a friend

Good with kids: older children

Cats: Unknown - Will be tested.

Fun fact: Oreo’s favorite things include people, treats, and dog friends — three guaranteed ways to make her day!
