Pearl

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption,
things could drastically change a month later. Since we don’t have a long health history of your
adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam
and follow up exams.~

Health: * No other obvious health issues besides vaginal tumor that was surgically removed.

Temperament:

Pearl came to us as a shelter stray who was never reclaimed. This beautiful girl had a massive tumor in her private area that required a very difficult surgery and a challenging recovery. But Pearl proved just how tough she is and came through it like a champ!

Now that she’s feeling better, Pearl is discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer! She’s learning to walk on a leash, enjoying stroller rides, and showing off her silly personality.

And let’s talk about that tail wag! Pearl has the goofiest little wag we’ve ever seen! We suspect she learned to wag that way because a full tail wag probably hurt when she had that enormous tumor. Whatever the reason, it’s absolutely adorable!

Pearl gets along beautifully with other dogs, knows how to use a doggie door, and is generally a quiet girl. That is, until dinnertime rolls around! Then she has plenty to say!

And did we mention she’s

BEYOND GORGEOUS?

Her stunning Merle coloring is just the icing on the cake.

Pearl has been through so much, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled, loved, and cherished. She’s ready to leave her difficult past behind and find a forever family who will adore her as much as we do.

Could you be Pearl’s happily ever after?

Where did she come from: She was a stray at the Bakersfield Animal Shelter
