Salamandra

Salamandra has officially retired from motherhood and is ready to find a family of her own! After lovingly raising her puppies, this sweet 3-year-old, 24-pound Chihuahua mix is discovering the joys of being herself again.

Her foster reports Salamandra has been a wonderful houseguest, peacefully coexisting with the resident dogs of all sizes and even trying to play with the much larger ones. She’s potty trained, settles nicely, and can be trusted when left home alone. A devoted cuddle bug who loves climbing into laps, Salamandra has a playful side too. She can play fetch with her favorite toys all day!

Salamandra can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once you’re part of her inner circle, get ready for a whole lot of love. She’s still building confidence in the big world, so she’ll need a patient adopter who can let her take things at her own pace.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful companion who will form a special bond with her person, Salamandra might just be your girl. She’s ready to spend her next chapter being someone’s beloved baby instead of everyone’s mama. Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
