PLEASE ASK FOR SELENE'S FULL STORY!! Selene is a gentle, quiet, and sensitive Miniature Poodle who came to CPR as a breeder release. She’s shy at first, especially with men, but warms up with calm, patient interaction. She’s a soft‑natured little girl who wants to feel safe and loved, and she’s making steady progress every day.

Must have: A quiet, calm home with another dog in the home — Selene relies heavily on canine companionship for confidence and comfort.

Exercise: Light — yard time, gentle exploration, short walks as she learns leash skills.

Best with: An adopter who is home often and understands shy or breeder‑release dogs.

Not ideal for: Busy homes, loud environments, or families with children.

Energy level: Low to medium — calm, observant, and gentle.

Selene is working on house training, crate training, and leash skills. She enjoys small dogs and blossoms when she has a canine friend to follow and learn from. She is never aggressive — just timid and cautious.

Good with dogs: Yes — must have another dog.

Good with kids: We would not recommend Selene to a home with children.

Cats: Taylor is really curious about cats. She will sniff and sniff but does not chase. We think she would like to be friends.

Fun fact: Selene’s confidence blooms when she’s with another dog — she watches them closely and follows their lead as she learns the world.
