Tessa

Young Tessa was part of a litter of five puppies abandoned by a stray mom in a yard in Dulce, NM. We estimate the puppies were about 4-5 weeks old during the first week of September, 2026. The family cared for them the best they could and rehomed one pup, but were in and out of town for several weeks. Around October 8, the pups were taken in by another family in Dulce and were given first DAPP on October 17. This family kept one pup and we took the remaining three into foster on October 18. Tessa is the largest of the three and has a relatively (for a puppy!) calm disposition. All three will be altered on October 26 and ready for adoption a few days later.

Tessa is the largest of the three pups in foster and is less of an explorer than her sister, Tatum. She loves to get a toy and have her siblings chase her.
