Truvy & Doralee: Tiny Girls, Big Dolly Energy
Rescued from a shelter on Dolly Parton Day, these two tiny Chihuahua sisters simply had to get names worthy of a little Southern charm. Meet Truvy and Doralee: approximately 8–9 weeks old, about 3 pounds each, and already experts in the fine art of being adored.
They were just five to six weeks old when they came into rescue. Now, after some growing, plenty of snuggling, and a few spirited puppy wrestling matches, they’re ready to find their individual forever homes. Their foster suspects they may stay under 10 pounds as adults, though their eventual size is still a best guess.
Truvy: Your Appointment for Cuddles Is Confirmed
Like her namesake, Truvy knows how to make people feel loved. Of the two sisters, she’s the one most likely to request a little extra time in your arms. Being held is very much her idea of a worthwhile activity, and she would happily help you accomplish your daily tasks from the comfort of a cozy sling.
Sweet and affectionate, Truvy is looking for someone who understands that a tiny puppy can take up a surprisingly large portion of your heart—and possibly your blanket.
Doralee: A Little Sass, a Lot of Sweet
Doralee brings a touch more spice to the sister act. She’s the slightly feistier one, with plenty to say during playtime and a personality that reaches well beyond her petite dimensions. When the puppy games get going, Doralee provides the commentary.
But underneath that spirited exterior is a very sweet little girl who loves a comfortable place to curl up. She, too, has been known to fall sound asleep in a sling. Even a busy little leading lady needs her beauty rest.
Small Girls in a Big World
These sisters have been fostered in the main area of a busy home, surrounded by everyday noise and household activity. They could be cautious when first venturing outside their puppy pen, taking a moment to assess all that extra space before exploring.
Bigger dogs didn’t intimidate them, and both played well with Mr. Figs, a roughly 12-pound canine friend. Either girl might enjoy a gentle small-dog playmate in her new home, with careful introductions and supervised play appropriate for her tiny size.
Their Kind of Nine to Five
Their foster routine included three meals a day, puppy playtime, naps, and plenty of opportunities to watch the household bustle around them. Their dream benefits package? Soft beds, snuggly blankets, and a person willing to carry them in a sling when those little legs need a break.
Both are still babies, so their adopters should be ready to help them learn potty habits, build confidence, and discover the world through positive experiences. They’ll need gentle handling and a thoughtful setup that keeps their very small size in mind.
Two Sisters, Two Happy Beginnings
Truvy and Doralee will be adopted separately, giving each girl the chance to become the star of her own family. Whether you fall for Truvy’s “hold me a little longer” sweetness or Doralee’s lively charm, you’ll be getting a tiny companion with plenty of love to give.
Have a spare blanket and an opening for a pocket-sized leading lady? These girls are ready for their next big role.
