Spice Girl sisters, Sage and Ginger, came into our care when their owner was no longer able to take care of them. Sweet as can be, Sage is happy to cuddle with you for as long as you are willing to let her. She is becoming less shy each day as she gets to know the volunteers. Patsy, the sweetest girl ever! She came to us with 7 puppies, but that life is now behind her. She is 7 years old and it's time to enjoy her life without having any more puppies. Patsy is calm and very friendly with people and other dogs. She is heartworm positive and has started her treatment. AWL will continue to provide her treatment until she is negative. She is an absolute angel in the car, looking out the window and sitting perfectly in the seat. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys walks on the trails. Patsy is just about the perfect girl! Meet Cupcake, a professional snuggler! She is active and likes to play but given a choice, she will almost always choose snuggling. This little cutie is easy to train, as she likes to please. She knows sit, down, stay, and place and will go to her place when told. She’s playful, and toys and bones are her absolute joy. She walks well on a leash and rides extremely well in a vehicle. She is a 48 pound, Staffordshire Terrier mix and 100% adorable, whip-smart, and ready for her forever family. Because Cupcake would like to get ALL of the attention, she would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She’ll thrive with someone who can give her love, playtime, and a chance to show off her clever little brain.

Alfie is 6 month old 4 pound Yorkie (possibly mixed with Poodle) who is looking for his forever home. He is located in Arkansas and only available to Arkansas adopters. He is a bouncy, happy little guy who enjoys cuddling. He typically is a quiet puppy and sleeps soundly and quietly in his crate. He is UTD on vaccines and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He is not yet neutered due to have one testicle not descended yet. Our vet wasn't comfortable doing the neuter just yet due to his size. His adopter will need to bring him to our vet once he's a little older and a little bigger to have the neuter done.

10/24 TaylorThis sweet little girl was found as a stray. We had hoped an owner would come forward to claim her, but no such luck. She is about 3 months old, and we think she is possibly australian shepherd mix. This little girl is so friendly and sweet, and full of life! She is great with other dogs, cats, kids, and goats. She is working on house training and leash manners, but still has a ways to go to have these mastered. But she's still a baby and has a lot to learn. She has great potential to be part of a family!
She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.

10/22/26 We need a foster or adopter for Noli ASAP. In New England. He was adopted from us as a puppy, but is now being returned. This is not the fault of Noli. Unfortunately his owner seems to be dealing with some severe depression and not able to care of Noli. The owner of her home has asked that Noli be rehomed. We can go into further detail in email so as not to share too much of his owner's personal info out in the open. Cannoli is 9mo old and about 40 lbs. A DNA test on his sibling confirmed he is a Boston Terrier mix but please take note he is larger than a Boston. He is good with other dogs and tolerates cats well.

10/22/26 Meet Nelda! Poodle mix, about 8 months old. Nelda's mom was dumped on an older Veteran who did the best he could. Unfortunately another dog was dumped on him. Neither were spayed/neutered, so you guessed it...a litter of puppies. Mom appears to be a pit mix or bulldog mix and dad appears to be some sort of doodle. There's no telling what kind of doodle he is, sometimes doodles end up being a mix of many breeds. The man who has mom and dad reached out to us recently for help with finding homes for the puppies (now about 8 months old) and to help get everyone spayed/neutered. So here we are! This man did the best he could and has provided safety, shelter, food and water but was not able to let all the puppies live inside.

She needs to be the only pet in the home. It is VERY hard to find homes for dogs who need to be the only pet in the home. No dogs, no cats. She loves people!! She is all the things. A stunning beauty, heartwarmingly affectionate, and playfully mischievous in the most innocent way. She follows some basic commands such as sit, is house trained, and very food motivated. We do not know her breed.

10/17/26 Waylon This good ol country boy is looking for love! He was found as a stray and taken in by a good samaritan. He is great with other dogs , kids, and horses. Waylon seems to be a young adult, possibly around 2 years old. Hes a good medium size boy, around 50 lbs. We believe he is an Australian Shepherd mix. He is house trained and doing great with learning how to be part of a family while in his foster home. Hes just a good ol boy who needs a family of his own!
