his adorable 4-month-old Staffordshire Terrier/Basset Hound mix! This sweet boy is neutered, incredibly friendly, and already has wonderful manners for such a young pup! He gets along great with kids, cats, and other dogs, and he’s even a great little traveling companion who loves car rides! With his loving personality and gentle nature, he’s ready to bring lots of joy, cuddles, and unconditional love to a lucky family. Daisy is a beautiful dog. We think she is a mini-aussie mixed with Border Collie or something similar. She was adopted soon after we got her but it turns out she's not good with small critters like squirrels and birds and her new humans want chickens. She also likes to roam and the neighbors are not happy about that. It sounds like this is just not the home for her and that is ok...there is the perfect home out there for Miss Daisy and we will help her find it! Daisy is very loving, friendly, good with cats and other dogs and kids. She is house trained. She is very energetic and needs a yard to run and play in along with a family or humans that will be active with her. She would make a great family pet.

Be sure to watch his video! Hank is an 18 month old lab/mastiff mix who was rescued as a stray from the streets of Memphis. Friendly, well socialized, never meets a stranger! Good with other dogs, not cat tested. Hank is very strong and active so he’s recommended for children 6 years and older. Very active outside, but he settles down quickly in the house. Crate trained and housebroken. Hank has a very distinctive “look” and is described by his foster mom as “a big goofball” and everyone who meets him just falls in love with him. Loves to be with his people.

Sabrina is a medium size dog who would love do well in any home. She gets along well with other dogs and kids. She can be very playful, yet has a calm demeanor. Sabrina is Heartworm Negative. She is treat motivated and is learning the doggie door. Sabrina would love a place to call home!

Be sure to watch her video! Alsa is a 2yo female purebred German Shepherd Dog being surrendered by her elderly owner in Memphis. Friendly, well-socialized, typical GSD loyal, loving temperament. Obedience trained and also understands hand signals. Very high energy outside, goes to the dog park several times a week, accustomed to a long walk each day. Good house manners, quiet and well-behaved inside. Fine with other dogs, not cat tested. Alsa has spent lots of time with the grandkids and she’s fine with the older ones but too active for the toddler.

Be sure to watch his video! Scout is a 1yo male hound mix who was rescued as a stray from the streets of Memphis. Friendly, well socialized, never meets a stranger! Good with other dogs, not cat tested. Scout is very strong and active so he’s recommended for children 6 years and older. Very active outside, but he settles down quickly in the house. Crate trained and housebroken. Loves to be with his people. Fair on the leash, we’re working on it. Rides great in the car. Estimated DOB is 6-25-25. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, neutered, weighs about 55 pounds.

Edgar is a 6‑year‑old chihuahua mix with a heart full of sweetness and a personality that wins people over instantly. He’s the perfect blend of playful energy and cozy companionship — a pup who loves romping with other dogs just as much as he loves curling up for a snuggle session.

Personality

Edgar is friendly, social, and happiest when he’s part of the action. He enjoys playing with other dogs, making him a great fit for families with pups who appreciate a cheerful buddy. When playtime is over, he transforms into a world‑class cuddler, settling in close and soaking up affection.

Marcella is a very well behaved young girl looking for her forever home. She is heartworm negative. She loves other dogs and gets along well with children. She very much likes to play with toys. She has basic training. Marcella is fit for just about any home or lifesyle!

Tucker was abandoned as a pup and picked up by the Sheriff's Dept. He has been in their care for a few months and has become super friendly and lovable. Tucker loves people and gives hugs. He is gentle and not too rowdy for his young age. Tucker would make a great pet for an active family or person as he is very active himself. He does have that hound in him and always has his nose to the ground, following scents. He is mostly house trained - can't hold it overnight yet, but he is learning! He is a VERY smart pup and will someone very happy. UPDATE: Tucker just entered the Paws in Prison Program in Calico Rock. He will be trained for 8 weeks. He will receive obedience training, house trained, crate trained and learn alot of tricks too. He will graduate the end of November. Call to schedule visits now.

Winnie is a 9 month old female boxer mix who was rescued just in time from the MS kill shelter. Friendly, well-socialized, sweet temperament, initially a little shy with strangers.. Great with other dogs. Fine with cats. Loves kids and is gentle with the foster family’s young kids. Medium activity outside, quiet and well-mannered inside. Good house manners and low maintenance. Affectionate with her people and loves to cuddle. Crate trained and housebroken. Good on the leash, rides great in the car. Estimated DOB is 12-1-25. Weighs about 40 pounds. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots. Sweet young boxer mix will make an awesome companion (and jogging partner!) for an active family with kids.

Tank is a 6 year old big hunk of love. He would do better in a home with older children due to his XL size. He gets along with other dogs. He needs a good space to be able to run and get his energy out. He is still rather spry for being 6 years old. Tank is heart worm negative.

Coconut is a young playful girl. She gets along well with other dogs. She would do great in a home with older children given her size and activity level. Coconut is heartworm negative. She enjoys to play outside and she really likes splashing in water.

Captain is less than 2 years old. He is Heartworm negative. He does well on a leash, learning basic commands, and likes his chew toys. He does very well with other dogs and gets along great with responsible children in a home. Choose Captain to be a part of your world!

She is a stray roaming our workplace in the heat about 2 weeks ago and we took her in to keep her safe but we are unable to keep her.
She is 55lbs, 1-2 years old, fully vaccinated with one more Lepto booster due in a couple of weeks. She needs to be spayed that we can help cover/coordinate. She is incredibly sweet with people and loves to cuddle and has shown to be friendly with other dogs outside our home.

Jasmine is a young Shar Pei who is looking for a family who loves wrinkles! She has had entropian surgery to correct her eyelashes when she was spayed. She is doing great with potty training. She is good with other dogs. She hasn’t been around small children yet.

After a few sit downs with her, she will allow pets. She prefers to be outside but has been both inside and outside. Annie is good with other dogs and loves to run around and play. Woody is a 1 yo male German shepherd mix dog who was rescued as a stray in Memphis. Friendly, sweet temperament, a little tentative at first with new people and situations, typical shepherd temperament. Woody is selective about his dog friends and would probably enjoy being the only dog. He’s friendly and non-aggressive with the cats on the other side of the fence. Fine with kids and recommended for dog savvy children 10 years and older. Medium energy level outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house. Crate trained and housebroken. Obeys basic commands.

Thunder was an owner surrender due to family issues. He is very playful and has the most animated facial expressions. Initially, he was a family pet but most recently he was in a pen by himself with very little attention. He seems to be more fearful with men, but is warming up to our attention and treats. I sat in the yard with him and it took about 5 minutes of him taking treats before he would let me pet him. Once the trust was developed, he just melted into me, leaning all of his weight on me wanting pets. He know gives us hugs and has become protective over us. He would be good dog for a single woman looking for a protector. He might take a little time to get used to you, but will be a loyal companion once y'all get comfortable with each other. We are learning that Thunder is super affectionate, playful and goofy. He tends to chase cats but is good with kids and other dogs.
