Meet Osha!
This sweet, playful 3 year old shepherd mix is a natural guardian with a heart of gold. She is loyal, affectionate, and happiest when she has room to roam and a family to watch over.
She absolutely loves people and has an incredibly sweet disposition. She grew up alongside kids and has always shown remarkable patience and tolerance. She also loves playing with other dogs and has plenty of puppy energy left!
Read more about Osha
True to her guardian instincts, she is protective of her family and property. Because she was raised primarily off leash on small farms and mountain hikes, she struggles with leash reactivity toward unfamiliar dogs approaching her or passing by. She would thrive with someone who understands guardian breeds, has space for her to explore, and is willing to work with her on leash training.

23. Fenley
Adult (1 year 10 months) · Female · German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (short coat) · 16 mi from Loveland

Meet Fenley!
Fenley is a friendly dog with a good dose of couch potato energy and full of love for everyone she meets. She is happiest to be near people and is equally happy to play fetch and run around the yard with you or snoozing on the floor at your feet all day.
Fenley’s ideal home is somewhere with no small animals (cats, small dogs, etc). We think she would be perfect as an only dog, but she has lived with another dog in the house for 6 months and they were best of friends.
She goes to doggy daycare and does well with the other pups.

She will be great with or without kids around, but any kids just need to be old enough to understand boundaries.
She mostly just wants to hang out and be next to wherever people are at. Rarely jumps up and never tries to play rough with people. In Fenley’s mind, dogs are for playing and people exist for giving out pets and relaxing.

24. Lotte
Young (10 months) · Female · Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat) · 37 mi from Loveland

Kai and Lotte were found on a dirt road in the middle of winter, abandoned, and spent a few days hiding in the culvert under the road. They were terrified and would not come up to people. Eventually we built some trust between us and got them in a car while a nasty snow storm was approaching. Now they are happy normal puppies, running and playing until they drop. They are small/medium size, very cute and have amazing cat-like walk. They are attentive and smart, they look you straight in the eye trying to guess your thought. We are looking for a patient owner who knows what to expect from this age and who is able to let them out several times during the day. They need a secure fenced yard. Can be adopted together or separately. Adoption fee $325.

Meet Pierogi: Part-Kangaroo, Part-Survivor, Full-Time GoofballLook, Pierogi has seen some things. This 35-pound, perfectly medium-sized wonder started his life roughing it in the woods, battled (and beat!) parvo, and endured enough poking and prodding to last a lifetime. So yes, he might be a little shy when you first meet him. But give him time to realize he’s safe, and this pup transforms from a timid wallflower into a goofy, stick-collecting, kangaroo-hopping professional cuddler. The Stats on This Perfect-Sized SidekickClocking in at a solid 35 pounds, Pierogi is the ultimate fun-sized companion.

He comes complete with a set of wonderfully unique, chaotic ears that have a mind of their own. He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and has recently decided that leash walks are actually fantastic. Activity-wise, he’s a solid "moderate." His favorite hobbies include turning the yard into his personal treasure hoard by collecting every single stick and ball he can find, and showing off his impressive pouncing skills. The Ideal Home: Pierogi is looking for a very specific vibe for his forever home. First and foremost, he needs a confident doggy sibling. He currently spends his days wrestling and playing games of canine Twister with his 60-pound fluffy foster sister, and he relies on doggy friends to build his confidence. He is submissive, takes cues like a champ, and absolutely thrives on canine companionship.Cats? No problem at all. He completely respects his feline foster sibling and fully understands who the real boss of the house is.Kids? Because of his rough start, sudden, unpredictable movements spook him. He’d do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with older, chill kids who understand that he needs a minute to process the big wide world. If you have a little patience, a playful resident dog, and a lap ready for premium snuggles, you just found your boy. Thank you! Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Meet Luna Meatball!
Read more about Luna Meatball
Luna is a playful, curious girl who loves fetch, chase, and tug-of-war, and she especially enjoys exploring the world through sniffing on her walks. She has a moderate-to-high energy level and does best with regular exercise and mental enrichment. Luna is very intelligent, knows basic commands, and is both house-trained and crate-trained.
She’s a dog who enjoys having a “job,” whether that’s training, interactive play, or structured activities that keep her engaged. Once she feels comfortable, Luna is incredibly affectionate and forms strong, loving bonds with her people. She enjoys being close to her person and is okay with most dogs and kids, though she may take a little time to warm up in new situations.
Luna can be sensitive to busy or high-traffic environments and may become reactive when overstimulated, but she continues to improve with guidance and routine. She will do best in a calm, predictable home where she can feel safe and supported.
Her ideal home includes a fenced yard and an experienced, patient owner who can provide structure, engagement, and continued training. She would also benefit from a home where someone is around more often, as she enjoys companionship and regular interaction.
With the right environment, Luna is a loyal, loving companion who will truly shine.

Why adopt an adult dog in Loveland
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.
