2. Sullie
Adult (1 year 6 months) · Male · Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (long coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Meet Sullie!
There is so much to this giant Muppet Baby! At approximately 1 1/2yo and 52.6 lbs, this giant ball of fur-love doodle is eager to be the best boy there is, and always an adventure side kick.
Sullie loves everyone and everything! He is in love with his foster cats. He adjusts accordingly and truly wants their companionship. If your home is equipped with a dog-friendly cat - they will be the absolute best of friends. He is a sweet and gentle dude thirsty for all of your attention.
Read more about Sullie
His favorite treats so far are duck and freeze dried chicken hearts. Sullie adores sunbathing on the cooler days, and he loves the wind in his hair. He loves balls, and is conquering fetch and let go. He is content being under feet, being rubbed - alllllll dayyy long.
Sullie does have a vocal side where he becomes chatty with his foster family. He occasionally herds them, and gives little love nips. Sullie is dog friendly and is learning that his giant stature approach must go slow. Cats are his bees knees. As long as they accept him, we are confident on a solid respectful friendship.
Sullie is still learning to be crated, though not a big fan - he is adjusting and getting the hang of it. He loves having Peter Frampton serenade him while he hones his crating skills during the day. He rides in the car like a boss, is house trained and will sit at the door signaling the need to go out. He is amazing on leash, and listens to all cues on his walks.
This big fluff ball is the most chill guy mixed with the occasional playful spurt or nightly zoomies. A fenced yard would be appreciated by him to give chase to the squirrels that tempt him. He hasn't been around a kid under 10, and since he doesn't quite understand his size, a close eye would be a must.
Sullie is truly an awesome pal to have around. As a doodle, he will need regular brushing and grooming to keep his coat free of mats. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe that Sullie would be a great forever fit for your family, complete an app and tell us more about you.

3. Luke
Senior (12 years) · Male · Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Foster, Foster-to-Adopt, or Adopter Needed
Read more about Luke
Luke, aka Lukey Boy, is a very lovable approx. 12-year-old, 57lb Pit Bull Terrier mix. Don’t let his age fool you, this boy is healthy and has so much more life and love to give! Luke has a sad story - he was a Lil Rascal back in 2019. He was found tied to a railroad track, taken to the shelter, and put on the euthanasia list. Lil Rascals saved him just in time, and since 2019, he has been living a wonderful life until recently when his momma passed away. His life was turned upside down with no family, no home and nowhere to go. His momma's family couldn't keep him so he came back to Lil Rascals, and now is in boarding, living his life in a kennel, wondering what he did wrong.
Even though he is a senior, he has so much more love to give and wants nothing more than to give love back. His favorite thing to do is to be with his human(s). Whether that be lounging on the couch or going for a walk, having his human(s) with him is the best thing in life. People in general are Luke's favorite thing. Even when he first meets you, he acts like he’s known you his whole life and is so excited to see you! Whether you’re an adult, elder, or a child he absolutely loves everyone and everyone who has ever met this sweet boy loves him. With those big brown eyes and sweet disposition what’s not to love?
Luke is house trained and used to apartment life and also knows how to use a dog door. He can be left alone inside without issues. Unsure if he is crate trained. He loves to sleep on the couch, his dog bed, and at night cuddling next to his human(s). Luke does not get along with other dogs or cats. Not getting along with other dogs and cats is really his only down fall. He has been around chickens and cows through a fence and showed no interest. With dogs, he does fine when he is walking by on a leash. He has a tendency to pull while walking on a leash but otherwise does great on a leash.
One great thing about Luke? He doesn’t bark! Aside from the occasional whine or grunt because he’s hungry, wants attention or needs to go potty, this handsome boy doesn’t make a sound. He does extremely well in car rides. He has made the journey from Florida to Texas to eventually California and then back to Florida from California!
Luke is definitely a toy and treat guy. His favorite toys are anything with squeakers and tennis balls, he loves to play fetch! At 12, this boy can still jump! He also loves to get his “poop treat” after he goes potty. He also loves getting his pup cup at the coffee shop or treat from the sweet teller at the bank.
If you’re looking for a dog that has low to moderate energy to lounge around with, go for a walk, travel with, play fetch or tug of war, Luke is your guy. He will greet you like he hasn’t seen you in years and love and comfort you like there is nothing else better in this world to do. If you believe you have the perfect home for Luke to live out the remainder of his years, complete an app and tell us more about you.

5. Odette
Adult (5 years 11 months) · Female · Boxer / Mixed (short coat) · 40 mi from Daytona Beach

Odette has been at the shelter since July and is as sweet as they come. When the shelter noticed a mass on her vulva that was growing in size they sent out a rescue plea for her and we said yes please!
We cannot wait to address the obvious chronic allergies and infections her thickened ears and swollen paws have had to endure and get her mass addressed.

6. Pancake
Young (1 year 5 months) · Female · Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat) · 40 mi from Daytona Beach

Pancake is just a goof who has been sitting at the shelter for a couple months already. She is deaf, and we are very excited to get to work with @savvydt to help our girl blossom.

7. Porkchop
Young (1 year) · Male · Black Mouth Cur / Mixed (short coat) · 40 mi from Daytona Beach

Porkchop is just a good guy whose luck had ran out. (Until he met us that is.
) Him and others were set to be euthanized in order to clear kennel space at a small crowded shelter and we scrambled to be able to pull him just 24 hours before his set euthanasia date. Porkchop will be overlooked no more!

8. Cleo
Young (6 months) · Female · Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) · 31 mi from Daytona Beach

Meet Cleo
Cleo is a beautiful 7½-month-old Lab mix with a sweet heart and a gentle, shy personality. She may be a little timid when first meeting someone, but she warms up fairly quickly and shows her loving, affectionate side once she feels safe and comfortable.
Cleo enjoys the company of other dogs and is still learning and growing through all the fun stages of puppyhood. She can be a little vocal around men at first, barking until she feels comfortable, so patience and gentle introductions will help her continue to build confidence.
This smart girl knows basic commands, is potty trained, and listens very well.
Read more about Cleo
At bedtime, she happily goes into her kennel and sleeps peacefully through the entire night. She is only kenneled at night and enjoys having room to explore and play during the day.
Cleo loves to use her nose! She has a great time hunting for hidden treats and exploring her surroundings. One of her favorite activities is running around and enjoying the freedom of a securely fenced backyard.
Cleo is completely vetted and ready to find her forever home. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a sweet, loyal girl and is willing to give her the patience and reassurance she needs to blossom. With a little time, love, and encouragement, Cleo has so much affection to give and will make a very special addition to the right home.

9. Mater
Adult (9 years) · Male · Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Meet Mater, a 9-year-old, 79-lb. Labrador Retriever mix who is basically the definition of a gentle, easygoing love bug. Mater is house-trained, super chill, and incredibly sweet. His favorite place is right next to his human, preferably with someone giving him all the belly rubs he can get! He doesn’t ask for much—just some affection, a cozy spot to lounge, and the occasional adventure. We’re also slowly helping him shed a few pounds so he can stay happy and healthy. He gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around his canine foster brother. He does prefer a calmer dog sibling, compared to one that's gonna be an in-your-face type.
Read more about Mater
He’s friendly, confident, and has absolutely no guard-dog tendencies. In fact, Mater’s philosophy is that everyone who walks through the door is a potential new best friend! He isn’t a big barker and is happy to greet just about everyone. Mater enjoys his walks and is a good walking companion. He also loves car rides and gets especially excited when it’s time for walks or mealtime. At home, though, he’s perfectly content lounging around and keeping his human company. He doesn’t need a yard to be happy, although he does love rolling around in the grass when he gets the opportunity. He’s not particularly interested in toys, although every now and then he’ll happily chew on a tennis ball. He’s also a little mouthy when excited—not in an aggressive way, but he sometimes jumps up with his mouth open when he’s happy or excited. He does have a chipped, sharp tooth, so adopters should be mindful of that during his enthusiastic greetings. Because of this excited, mouthy behavior, he may not be the best fit for a home with very young children. Mater isn’t a fan of the vacuum cleaner or very loud noises and would much rather retreat to another room until the commotion is over. Otherwise, he’s an incredibly low-maintenance guy who is happy to simply hang out with his people. Mater is the kind of dog who doesn’t need a lot to be happy. Give him a loving human, a few belly rubs, some walks, and a comfy place to relax, and he’ll be perfectly content. He truly doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and would love nothing more than to find a forever family to spend his golden years beside. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Mater, complete an app and tell us more about you.

10. Roxy
Young (1 year 1 month) · Female · Hound / American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Roxy is an approx. 1yo, 53lb. possible hound/pittie mix. She is a shy girl who prefers lazy days on the couch next to you rather than the adventurous life. She is an introvert through and through with the sweetest eyes and demeanor. Roxy loves belly rubs, a Kong toy stuffed with treats, and jumping on her hind legs to greet you. She is still working on being brave and exploring on walks but is getting more confident by the day. She follows at your heels whether on leash or not. She is potty trained, crate trained and only howls if she hears an intruder outside... otherwise she's as quiet as a mouse.
Read more about Roxy
She does fine left alone and enjoys lounging on her favorite couch. Roxy is polite with toys, but mostly ignores them and prefers human interaction over the plushies. She also chooses her favorite humans over other dogs, and most likely with cats too. She has not officially been cat tested but has shown zero prey drive and seems to be pretty aloof around other animals. That's not to say she can't make friends. Her laid back, submissive personality is appreciated by other dogs and once acquainted, she will romp around in the yard and shower them with kisses. Then she loses interest and goes back to her person. As far as car rides go, she is terrified in the car and trembles for the majority of the ride but eventually settles in. A yard would be beneficial for her, but mainly she needs a quiet home, in a quiet community, with patient and loving people who will give this insecure pup the time she needs to settle in and become a confident member of the family. If you're looking for a fellow couch potato who shares your lack of enthusiasm at meeting new people... look no further. Your furry friend is in this gorgeous pup named Roxy! If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, and believe you have the perfect home for Roxy, complete an app and tell us more about you.

11. Raj
Puppy (4 months 5 days) · Male · Irish Setter / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Meet Raj!
If you’re looking for the littlest, sweetest little baby to add to your family, you need to meet Raj.
Raj is one of Pennie’s Big Bang Theory puppies, born on June 27, 2026. He’s one of the smaller puppies in the litter and has a beautiful red coat and an adorable low-rider build. One of his brothers had a DNA test that revealed a mix of Irish Setter, Miniature Dachshund, and bully breed, which may help explain those wonderfully short little legs!
Read more about Raj
Raj is a total baby at heart. He is sweet, affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves attention. He’s happiest when he’s getting cuddles, soaking up affection, or hanging out with his people. He has plenty of playful puppy energy when it’s time to have fun, but he also has a softer side that makes you want to scoop him up and keep him close.
Like all puppies, Raj is still learning about the world and will need a family who is ready to help him grow into the best dog he can be. His new family should be prepared for potty training, continued socialization, positive-reinforcement training, and teaching him good manners. Raising a puppy is a big commitment but it’s also a lot of fun watching their personality develop and seeing them become the dog they were meant to be.
Raj will be adopted with a spay/neuter addendum.

14. Nova
Adult (4 years 2 months) · Female · German Shepherd Dog / Husky / Mixed (medium coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Meet Nova
This gorgeous 4-year-old, 50-lb. German Shepherd mix is all about enjoying life with her favorite humans.
Nova is an affectionate girl who loves being wherever her people are. She loves to curl up right beside you and, yes, sometimes on top of you. When her foster mom works from home, she’s happy to snooze quietly in her bed. As long as she can be nearby, she’s content! She’s generally calm and easygoing indoors, but she’s just as happy to head outside for an adventure.
Read more about Nova
Nova walks beautifully on leash, enjoys neighborhood walks, and absolutely loves hiking. On weekends, she can often be found exploring local trails with her foster mom and canine foster siblings.
When it comes to other dogs, Nova prefers a more laid-back crowd. She would be fine as an only-dog or with calm canine companions. She isn’t particularly interested in playing with other dogs. She’d much rather play with people and show off her toy-catching skills!
Nova is housebroken, crate-trained, cat-safe, and friendly with new people. She also attends professional training at DiversityK9 and knows her basic commands.
Nova needs a home with older children or adults only. She can take a little time to truly settle into a new environment, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes a loving, funny, and incredibly loyal companion.

15. Robin Egg
Adult (5 years 1 month) · Female · Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 40 mi from Daytona Beach

We make a promise to our Swampies that once they are with us they will always be safe and loved. But sometimes, no matter how hard we try to prevent it, a promise gets broken. Three whole years of Robin being in her “forever” home and now she is back in our rescue yet again.
Read more about Robin Egg
We are heartbroken for Robin, who is confused and stressed in boarding - the only option we had with 30 minutes to make a plan for Robin’s future. Truthfully, Robin was not an easy dog for us the first time we had her. She was always sweet but she had no interest in humans other than to use them as a springboard and she had lots of, “little kid at a birthday party who had too much cake and missed nap time” type of energy. Robin could have ended up a million other places, many of which we believe would have led to her being pent up, overlooked, and declining in a shelter system she couldn’t get out of. We believe Robin found us for a reason. We worked to help her excited anxiety, we treated her for heart worms, and even sent her off to a training program which did wonders for her. And still we had Robin for a year before she got adopted.
Now, three years later it’s obvious how good home life has been for Robin. She is more settled. She wants affection and sits with her butt right next to you and leans in for pets. She is a different Robin we are getting to know again, but still Rob. She still has her very own unique, happy zest for life, and she still has the cutest stinkin’ happy face. Robin is cat friendly, older kid friendly, no dogs but is not reactive and is dog safe, and she is nondestructive in a home. She also has free life time refresher courses with her trainer. Robin is looking for someone who loves her for her quirks, not despite them. Please help us share Rob. She needs a foster or adopter ASAP. We are very worried she will regress from how far she has come if we cannot get her out of boarding. She is confused and struggling to understand where her family went and we swore to her we would do everything to not let it take another year this time to find her people.
Once a Swampie always a Swampie, and this time forever WILL mean forever.

16. Georgia
Adult (1 year 2 months) · Female · American Bulldog / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Daytona Beach

Georgia is a 1‑year‑old, 65lb. American Bulldog mix, weighing about 65 pounds.
Georgia was born completely deaf and blind, but she is confident, capable and resilient. She has successfully mapped her current home and navigates it beautifully, proving just how adaptable and intelligent she is.
She has completed two weeks of board‑and‑train with Diversity K9 in Orlando, where she worked on structure, confidence and communication.
Georgia is:
• Fully crate trained
• House trained
• Great on walks
• Loves lounging on the couch with her people
Read more about Georgia
Georgia currently lives peacefully with two other female dogs (both around 60 lbs) and does very well with them. She gains confidence from having another friendly dog around and would thrive in a home with a canine companion. She has done well around children 8 plus years old, but due to her vision issues, she might accidentally knock over smaller children; therefore, older children would be a better fit.
Georgia’s ideal forever home:
A large, securely fenced yard
Another friendly, well‑adjusted dog
Georgia bonds deeply with her people and finds comfort in routine, gentle guidance and companionship. Georgia needs a forever home where her family can provide time, patience and commitment, and someone who understands that disabilities do not limit love. If you believe you can give that to Georgia, please complete an app and tell us more about you.

Adopting a large dog in Daytona Beach
Large dogs need room to stretch out and plenty of exercise: at least one good walk a day, and a secure yard is a bonus. Check your lease too, as some landlords limit the size or breed of dog.
Start training from day one. A big dog who walks nicely on a leash and doesn't jump up is a pleasure to live with, and many rescues can recommend a local trainer.
