Now it’s Darlyn’s turn to be cherished, to have a comfortable place to call home, and to know the security of a family who will love her for the rest of her days.

This 1-year-old, 37-pound girl is happy, friendly, and still very much a puppy at heart. Blue brings enthusiasm to her outings and is looking for someone who will enjoy her playful spirit while helping her learn.

She has been showing interest in nearby dogs, even offering play bows to invite them into the fun! If you have a dog who might appreciate a playful companion, ask about a meet-and-greet.

Blue will benefit from continued leash training, along with regular exercise, playtime, and patient guidance. She’s a youngster with growing up to do—and plenty of opportunities to make learning together fun.

Tank would like to introduce himself. He even knows how to shake hands.

This handsome boy has been showing us his calm, polite side. He knows sit and shake, loves treats, and accepts them gently. Spending a little time together—and sharing a few biscuits—is a lovely way to get acquainted!

Tank has also responded favorably to nearby dogs during leash walks and was traveling with another dog when found. If you have a canine companion, ask shelter staff about an introduction.

This sweet girl has more than a beautiful smile going for her. Honey is leash trained, knows sit and shake, and takes treats gently. She’s friendly and attentive, making time together a lovely opportunity to connect—and perhaps practice a few skills for a biscuit!

At 3 years and 8 months old and 54 pounds, Honey has a happy, playful side and some nice manners already in place. We’d love to see her sharing walks, playtime, and everyday life with a family of her own.

Margaret knows a little German, Spanish, and English. We’re hoping her next favorite words are “Let’s go home.”

At approximately 6–10 years old and 59 pounds, Margaret has years of experience being part of a household. Her previous owner shared that she lived indoors with adults and children ages 2–8, got along with the cats she lived with, and usually slept in bed with her people.

Her former family also described a love of toys and some very specific snack favorites: frozen peanut butter treats, ice cubes, and blueberries! Those familiar pleasures could be a lovely way to help her settle into a new routine.

DUKE BUTLER: A GENTLEMAN WITH A HEART FULL OF LOVE! Meet Duke Butler, a handsome 41-pound bundle of sweetness who believes the best place to be is right beside his favorite person! Duke is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves attention and is always happy to stick around for extra pets, cuddles, and a little one-on-one time. He has a wonderful way of making you feel special, and with his sweet personality and loving nature, he's easy to enjoy!This boy has some pretty great manners, too! Duke knows “sit” and “stay,” comes when called, takes treats gently, and walks nicely on a leash. He also does well in a crate, making him a nice companion to have around the house.

With those gorgeous ice-blue eyes, beautiful black-and-white coat, and perfectly pointed ears, she's a real head-turner. But there's more to this pretty girl than her looks! Lelo enjoys exploring the play yards, checking out all the interesting sights and smells. But here's the sweet part — she spends most of her time staying close to her person. She walks nicely on a leash. She lived with another dog before coming to Animal Services but did not bond with the resident dog in a foster home so a meet and greet would be recommended.

Lewis is a young dog with a lot of growing up still ahead of him. And while he may not be the type of dog who demands the spotlight, there’s something especially endearing about this handsome boy.

Lewis is friendly and gentle, and he seems to appreciate a calm, kind approach. He has a sweet expression and those wonderfully floppy ears that give him plenty of personality without him having to say a word.

Meet Tortuga!This petite, 45-pound sweetheart recently spent a few days in a volunteer foster home, and we got to learn even more about what makes her special.Housebroken and doing great! Her foster reported no accidents, even over extended periods of time. That's a big plus for a young dog!A nice walking partner! She walks well on a leash and, when another dog barked at her, she simply looked around rather than making a fuss.A toy enthusiast! Tortuga loves her toys and enjoys a good play session.

JAMBOREE — BIG, BEAUTIFUL & READY TO PLAY! Jamboree is one of those dogs who is going to make you look twice. At 65 pounds, with his gorgeous cream-and-white coat, expressive eyes and those fabulous ears, he is one handsome guy!But Jamboree isn't just a pretty face. He's a social, playful, high-energy dog who recently participated in a play session with other dogs and had a great time. His play style can be enthusiastic and physical, and when he's really having fun he can get moving at full speed! He greeted his playmates with plenty of excitement, but remained social and non-aggressive throughout the session.With people, Jamboree is attentive and interested in what you're doing.

Faith was found abandoned (probably dumped) at the end of a dirt road by a mechanics shop. That is where this sweet baby's story, as we know it, begins. It is beyond wonderful that we can now make that story so much better! Faith is currently being fostered in Georgia and is a happy little puppy who is delighted to have soft, clean bedding, nutritious puppy food and lots of love! She may not be quite as delighted with the deworming and vaccinations however. We do not know who her mother or father were but we estimate her to be somewhere between 12 and 14 weeks at this writing, so possibly a birth date of around 7/23.

Lex is good with dogs, cats, and even chickens, but not a fan of the new crawling baby. Lex's family had loved him since he was a puppy but made the difficult decision to reach out to Southeast Beagle Rescue to find him a loving home. He has pleasantly suprised us with his vitality as he's still active enough to give squirrels a good chase and jumps for joy when he sees a leash... and he is pretty good on leash! He has enough energy to be fun but not so much that it's overwhelming. He's also shown us that he is able to handle new situations well. He was used to home-cooked meals (loves broccoli and oranges and of course chicken).

Sketch is really a happy-go-lucky little guy who seems to have a permanent wag in his tail! He loves getting affection from people, enjoys going for walks, and has a lot of fun with toys-- especially the ones with squeakers which he renders squeakerless! Sketch likes other dogs and is playful without being overpowering, and he has done well in a home with cats. House training is coming along great and he learned to use the doggie door very quickly. Things Sketch is still working on are to keep all four paws on the floor when greeting people and he is also still figuring out some household boundaries.
