2. Napoleon II

Adult (4 years 11 months) · Male · Poodle (Toy)

Napoleon II's family bought him as a puppy from a pet shop. They took excellent care of him and showered him with love, perhaps too much and as he got older, he became a bit of an unruly, spoiled brat. They took him to a trainer who had him for two weeks. Unfortunately, that was not enough time for him and he did not really show any improvement. A couple of months ago, they decided that they needed to hire another trainer and they were recommended to a very experienced trainer who has been working with him and he is now ready to go to his forever home. It was heart wrenching for his owners to come to the decision to let him go as they did not feel that they were the right home for Napoleon II. They have a very active and busy life and it is not the lifestyle that would suit him best. They want to be fair to him and they want him to be in the right home and situation for a happy life.

Read more about Napoleon II

Napoleon's trainer describes him as a "solid citizen" who although only five years old, would like a quiet life by his owner's side. While he enjoys affection, he is not a lap dog. He will come to you for affection but when he is done, he will move away to be in his space. He is totally potty trained and enjoys going on walks, he knows commands like sit, down, stay. He entertains himself playing with his toys. He is a good passenger in the car, he is good at the vet and getting groomed. He does well with other dogs but he is not necessarily interested in being part of a pack or having a partner. Napoleon is not recommended for families with children.

Anyone interested in Napoleon will meet with the trainer located in Brooksville to make sure it's the right fit.

5. Max

Puppy (1 year) · Male · Poodle (Miniature)

MAX SAYS ADOPT ME!

The adorable Max just turned one year old (born 10/10/2025) and weighs 10.5 lbs. He is a light apricot miniature Poodle. He was surrendered through no fault of his own. His owners were not prepared to raise a puppy, and they were not able to give him the attention and care he needed. He's located in Tampa, FL.

On initial meeting with his foster dad he was cautious and appeared fearful. He even growled and snapped at his foster dad. After leaving him alone for about 5 minutes he was approaching the foster dad and looking for attention.

After about 15 minutes, he started jumping into his foster's lap demanding attention.

He's turned out to be a cuddly boy with both his foster mom and dad.

He loves to play in the yard, by himself or with the other dogs in the family. He sometimes gets a little rough with play, but that's just puppy behavior.

Max will sleep in a crate, but it needs to be in the room with his people. He walks well on a leash and is learning to heel.
