Silas came to PRBJ after living on the streets in Puerto Rico. A rescue in PR found this little pup and took him in and began caring for him. Due to overcrowding at that rescue, they reached out to see if we had space to take him. So, Silas got his flight wings and was flown to Florida in search of his forever home.Silas is a timid guy who would be best with another dog in the house to buddy with and model after. 5. Salsa

Puppy (3 months 27 days) · Female · Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed · 47 mi from Port Orange

Salsa is just one of the cuties in our TexMex crew! She is the tiniest of the bunch, but don’t let that fool you, she is also the mightiest! Salsa lives up to her name, she is spicy, fun, and walks around with a confident swagger you can’t ignore! At our puppy yoga event she was the first to throw a playful paw at the humans there and was just maybe seen grabbing a stray ponytail or bun that was close to her on the floor while the humans were yoga-ing. She is a ton of fun and ready to take on the world. When she is done being the confident queen she is she sleeps the best puppy sleep, preferably right in her foster moms lap!

Raj is a total baby at heart. He is sweet, affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves attention. He’s happiest when he’s getting cuddles, soaking up affection, or hanging out with his people. Read more about Bo FH

Bo
is a sunshine‑loving, cuddle‑powered puppy with a personality far bigger than his potato-shaped nap style suggests. With his fosters, he’s affectionately known as Charlie P. Tayto—a nod to his favorite hobbies: lounging like a little spud and baking himself in the warm Florida sun.

Don’t let the potato pose fool you. Bo is equal parts professional snuggler and goofy whirlwind. When it’s time to relax, he’s incredibly affectionate—kissy, huggy, and happiest curled up right against his people. When it’s time to play, he’s all-in: silly zoomies, full‑body enthusiasm, and a love for catch that could qualify as a sport.

Bo is smart, confident, and a bit bossy in the most charming puppy way. He’s still learning his manners and will thrive with a family ready to continue his training and help him channel all that big personality into becoming the best boy he can be.

Bo is ready for a home that loves cuddles, laughter, and a puppy with opinions.

Adopting a puppy in Port Orange

Puppies usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're weaned and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.

Ask the rescue how big the puppy is expected to grow and which breeds they think are in the mix, so you can plan for the dog they'll become.

Puppies need a lot of your time: house-training, a few minutes of training every day, several small meals, and someone home often enough to let them out. A puppy class is a good way to start.
