Hi, I’m Buckeye! I’m a 3½-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, and at around 40 lbs, I’m the perfect size for just about anything. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but the nice folks here are helping me learn that new friends can be pretty great. Honestly, it doesn’t take me long to warm up—especially if you have treats! Once I get to know you, I’m all in. I’ll stick to you like glue and happily accept hugs, kisses, and any opportunity to be close to my people. I’m an active guy (it’s the Cattle Dog in me!) and I love to play, but I also know how to settle down and enjoy some quality cuddle time.

I was brought to PCHS in hopes of getting a better chance of being adopted. I'm a sweet boy and just need someone to teach me some manners. I'm highly food and treat motivated and have already got sit down pat, so I'm excited to know of all the other things I can learn! I seem to do okay with other dogs but would need a proper introduction to be safe. Cats on the other hand seem a little too interesting so I'd be best to go to a home without kitty friends.

I'm a very sweet girl with a heart even bigger than my waistline lol. I'm supposed to be around 35 lbs...but I'm currently a "full-figured" lady, weighing 94 lbs...However, I'm more than ready to start my fitness journey with a partner who loves to walk as much as they love to cuddle. I don't let my extra curves slow down my spirit. I'm a social, happy soul who believes that life is meant to be enjoyed—preferably with a slow stroll through the park and a lot of belly rubs.
