1. Charlie
Meet Charlie!
Charlie had the misfortune of being dumped in a local park. Thankfully, a kind soul took him in as a foster and gave him a place to decompress.
Now it's Charlie's time to find a home that will love him forever!
This boy is sweet and affectionate and smart as a whip! He LOVES to be around people and is also dog friendly. About 70 pounds of pure love in this 6 year old boy. Charlie is housebroken and is a great turnkey dog!
He would love a yard to run around but also wants someone who will take him on walks so he get in all the sniffs to stimulate his brain! Want a hiking buddy, Charlie is your guy!

2. Rollo
Hi! My name is Rollo and I am looking for a forever home! I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a scary place called a shelter where, after no one came to claim me, I was about to be put on something bad called “the list.” Fortunately for me, BCAA saw me and said they would help me… yeah! I appear to be a Standard Poodle mix— but whatever I am, my foster mom thinks I’m one handsome dude! I had to be shaved down when I first arrived because my coat was in quite a hot mess, but just wait until all that fluffy hair grows back and it's already started.I’m a little over 50 pounds and about 18 months old.
Read more about Rollo
I’m still very much a young, energetic guy and I love being out and about. My enthusiasm can be a little overwhelming for smaller dogs, so I would do best with a dog who enjoys my playful energy and can keep up with me. But when it’s just me and my people, I’m a total cuddle bug and absolutely love attention. I’ve shown some interest in cats, although I haven’t been aggressive toward them. I’m also crate trained and have done really well in my crate without accidents or destroying my bedding. That said, I’d much rather be hanging out with you and will definitely let you know if I hear or see you and think I’m missing out!I’m pretty good on leash, although I can pull a little when I get excited about all the fun happening around me. I’m a happy, affectionate boy with plenty of personality, and I’m ready to find a family who will give me the love, attention, exercise, and guidance I need to continue growing into the best version of myself. If you’d like to learn more about me — or even better, meet me — please fill out an application at BCAAofNJ.org.

In fact, his foster says that Spartacus “loves to play, loves toys and loves people!” He’s dog friendly and very cuddly, smart and food friendly, too. My goodness, what a sweetie pie! 5. Beau
Beau is a handsome 1-year-old Lab mix weighing about 55 pounds, although he’s a little on the skinny side and is working toward his goal weight of around 60 pounds. We think he may have some Hound or even Great Dane mixed in — and those long legs, slender build, and gorgeous floppy ears certainly make us wonder! Beau has the most beautiful jet-black coat and an even more beautiful personality. This boy has never met a stranger! He absolutely loves people and is always ready for pets, attention, and plenty of love. He’s great with kids, although because he doesn’t realize he’s a big boy and not a lap dog, he may be a little too much for very small children.Beau is wonderful with other dogs 30 pounds and up.
Read more about Beau
He loves running around the yard and playing with his dog friends, but he’s also respectful when another dog isn’t interested in playing. He’d love a home where he can have some room to run and enjoy his daily exercise. On leash, Beau is definitely a strong boy! He’ll need someone willing to continue working on his leash manners, and an easy-walk harness would be a great tool to help him learn. Once he gets his exercise, though, he’s not a high-energy dog and is perfectly happy to hang out with his people.Beau is also a great car rider and hops right in when it’s time to go! He knows sit and down, loves catching treats in the air, and thinks chasing a ball is pretty much the best thing ever. He does jump up to say hello, but he is very gentle about it — he’s just a big, goofy puppy who hasn’t quite realized how big he is yet! Beau is the kind of dog who will make you smile every day. He’s affectionate, friendly, playful, and eager to learn. He just needs a family who will give him some daily exercise, continue his training, and let him be the lovable goofball he is. If you’re looking for a big, goofy, incredibly friendly boy who thinks everyone is his new best friend, Beau might be your guy! Bcaaofnj.org

10. Rocko
Aye Yo Rocko!
This 5 month old peanut is ready for his forever..Rocko came to us a week ago and this is what we know:
Rocko LOVES to lay his head on your shoulder and snuggle in. He is house trained and sleeps through the night 🙌 Rocko only barks if he is startled by something. He has played well with our resident dog BUT the interactions with the resident cat have been dicey. I wouldn't recommend a home with cats at this time. Rocko has loved giving and receiving love from the resident kids 🤣 so green light to kids!
If you are interested in meeting our new friend you can email our matchmaker AMMRMelissaC@gmail.com.

23. Brownie
At 8 years young and 60 pounds, Brownie is the perfect mix of wisdom, sweetness, and just the right amount of playful spirit. After spending years in a shelter, she’s mastered what it means to be a truly great companion—loyal, loving, and always by your side.Brownie is a smart girl who enjoys figuring out puzzles and games, and she still has a little bounce in her step for gentle walks and playtime. She’s crate trained, but if she had her way, she’d happily trade that in for a cozy spot next to you on the couch. She’s independent when she wants to be, but never too busy for a cuddle session. Brownie is dog selective, and while we’re still learning which dogs she may get along with, she would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the love.Through everything life has thrown her way, Brownie has stayed brave, kind, and full of love.

Adopting a large dog in Camden
Large dogs need room to stretch out and plenty of exercise: at least one good walk a day, and a secure yard is a bonus. Check your lease too, as some landlords limit the size or breed of dog.
Start training from day one. A big dog who walks nicely on a leash and doesn't jump up is a pleasure to live with, and many rescues can recommend a local trainer.
