Hi everyone. My name is Rascal but it used to be Moss. I think Rascal fits me better. I’m a very happy boy with lots of puppy energy, very friendly. I love doing zoomies in my yard and playing with my little foster sister Muffin. Once I get all my zoomies out, I love to cuddle up on the sofa. I need lots of yummy food to keep my energy up - my foster mom says that I’m a very good eater! I am working on my potty training and I know to walk to the door to ask to go out. Once I’m outside I sometimes get distracted if the family of wild turkeys are walking across my yard. There are 9, I counted them but didn’t bark.

When you look at my picture, you might think it’s AI generated. It’s really me, I’m really that cute.

You might ask what I’m looking for in my forever family. I need a family who is kind, loving, and patient. A furry sibling a little older than me would be perfect, a playmate for times when you’re busy. Do you have a big fenced in back yard so I can run? That sure would be fun. I like lots of toys - my currency favorite are ones to chew.

I know to sit for a treat but still learning to walk on a leash. My foster mom says that I’m really smart and learn quickly.

Do you think that you could live a little fella like me?

Hoping to be your new best friend.

Love, Rascal

These litter of pups came from another rescue so they can find loving homes. Acorn, Birch, and Moss are the boys, and Fern and Thistle are girls. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. They haven't lived in a home yet, so will need to learn things like housetraining, but they are up to date on their vet care including vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and started on heartworm preventative. Apply now and we will set up appointments for you to meet the available pups.

If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com. Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs. Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to.

We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home. Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.

We are located in Mukwonago, WI. Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt. Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog. All dogs are seen by appointment only.

The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax. Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer. Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.
