Foster Profile:
May is a very loving girl and just wants to jump up and give kisses. We're working diligently on not jumping. She's very smart and seems to have potty training down and has not had an accident inside while I've had her. That being said, I do have a doggie door so she can let herself out, but I'm confident she will learn quickly to ask to go out, especially if she as an older dog to show her the ropes. She likes her crate, and will put herself in the crate to nap. I have it in my bedroom and she has not cried at night at all. She sleeps 8 hours without incident. Leash training is a work in progress, but with continued training she will catch on fast.
This little (NOT) girl has stolen my heart in just a few short days and will steal yours as well.

15. Chester
Adult (5 years) · Male · Norfolk Terrier (medium coat)

Chester loves joining you for errands or anything else you may want to include him in. He rides well in the car, loves to cuddle on the couch with a cozy blanket, and LOVES to sniff.
Chester will thrive in a home that is looking for their next best friend, shadow, and overall every day companion.
Read more about Chester
Animal Information: Chester is a 5-year-old, 24lb "norfolk terrier" mix (according to his records). He was brought into the Stanislaus Shelter as a stray in late September of this year. Unfortunately, no one came to claim him, which put him at risk for space in an overcrowded shelter. Lucky for Chester, the shelter staff advocated for him and he earned a freedom ride to the PNW! Chester is friendly with people and was tested well with other dogs. We look forward to getting to know him!
Foster Profile: Chester is the definition of a happy-go-lucky boy! Since day one with his foster, he’s loved to be included, play, and been the best house guest. Puppy (3 months 3 days) · Female · Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information: Argie, along with her siblings Delia, Babs, Juice, and Otto, are tiny terrier mixes who found themselves at the Stanislaus shelter as part of an accidental litter. A shelter is no place for three tiny puppies, so we took one look at them and knew we had to get them out of there. We can't wait to meet these three little fuzz balls and see their personalities come out. We have a feeling they are going to be pretty popular!
Read more about Argie
Foster Profile:
Argie is a small terrier mix who's confident and playful. She enjoys a game of tug, is happy to meet new people, and loves running around the yard. She lives in a foster home with big adult dogs, and even at her tiny size, she holds her own playing alongside them. She's a bright, energetic puppy who will be a great addition to an active home.

17. Peanut
Young (5 months 1 day) · Male · Rat Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information: Peanut is a 4-month-old terrier mix who came into rescue locally after his owner experienced challenges with their mental health and a care provider stepped in to help.
Peanut was purchased when he was only a couple of weeks old, much too young to be separated from his mother. He was sent home with a finger glove of mother’s milk and became a bottle baby. Because he was raised as a singleton puppy without the opportunity to learn from his mother or other puppies, Peanut is still learning important social skills with other dogs.
Read more about Peanut
When introduced to other dogs, including puppies, Peanut was a little fearful at first but showed that he is resilient and willing to learn. He is now headed into foster care with an experienced foster and a balanced pack of dogs who can help teach him all about being a confident, well socialized puppy.
Peanut loves to play, is eager to engage with his people, and is already started on his crate and potty training journey. He has so much potential and we are excited to watch him grow and learn in foster care.
More information will be shared as we get to know this sweet little guy better!

Mama Poppy was trapped and couldn't get out, but luckily they were spotted and rescued before tragedy could strike. Daisy is now 3 months old, and her sister was adopted, but she and Mama Poppy were at risk for euthanasia due to length of stay. Despite growing up in a loud and scary shelter, Daisy is friendly, social, and sweet. We saw their stories and had to help! Poppy is a petite female shepherd that weighed only 45lbs at intake, and she also has an endearing personaility. We can't wait to meet these two survivors and show them what a good life should be like!

Foster Profile:
Meet Daisy — Tiny Paws, BIG Personality!
Don’t let those sweet puppy eyes and adorable satellite ears fool you… this little girl has places to be, things to sniff, and adventures to conquer!
Daisy is a beautiful 12-week-old Shepherd mix with enough energy to power a small city! ⚡️ She’s a little firecracker who is constantly on the move, always exploring, and always looking for her next adventure.
She’s incredibly alert, attentive, and surprisingly sure-footed for such a young pup. Not much gets past Miss Daisy! She’s curious, confident, and ready to take on the world, one paw at a time.
But here’s the sweetest part… underneath all that puppy chaos is an absolute cuddle bug. ❤️ Scoop her up in your arms, and she settles right in for some love and snuggles. Set her back down?
GAME ON!
She’s off to her next very important puppy mission!
Daisy’s mama weighs around 45 pounds, so while we can’t say exactly how big Daisy will get, she’s likely got some growing to do!
Daisy is going to need an active family who can keep up with her zest for life! She’s smart, busy, and full of potential, but she’ll need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and training to help channel all that enthusiasm into becoming an amazing companion. We are looking for a single family home with a securely fenced yard, Shepherd or large breed experience preferred. We are not considering apartments for her at this time.
An experienced dog family would be ideal
, especially one familiar with the energy and intelligence that often come with Shepherd breeds.
Daisy isn’t looking for a couch-potato lifestyle (although she’ll happily borrow your lap for a cuddle). She’s looking for an adventure buddy, a family who enjoys staying active, and someone who understands that a busy puppy needs more than just a backyard to burn off energy.
Big personality. Bigger adventures. Endless energy. A whole lot of love.
If you’re ready for a little sunshine mixed with a whole lot of zoomies, Daisy just might be your girl!

19. Otto
Puppy (2 months 15 days) · Male · Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information: Otto, Juice and Babs are three tiny terrier mixes who found themselves at the Stanislaus shelter as part of an accidental litter.A shelter is no place for three tiny puppies, so we took one look at them and knew we had to get them out of there. They will be just 6 weeks old when they arrive and around 5 pounds, so they would ideally go into foster care with another dog in the home to help show them the ropes. We can't wait to meet these three little fuzz balls and see their personalities come out. We have a feeling they are going to be pretty popular!
Read more about Otto
Foster Profile: Otto is a sweet, silly boy who wants to be wherever you are. He is a master couch snuggler, a leaf hunter, and an expert eye contact maker.
Things Otto loves: meal time, following your every move, staring deeply into your eyes, snuggles, adores wrestling with buddy sized dogs and isn't afraid to speak his mind when he has an opinion.
Things Otto could do without: being away from you (but sleeps well in kennel), anything around his neck, bath time, being told "no".
Things Otto is Working On: sitting for food, potty training, and playing using things other than his teeth.
As you can see,
Otto is a sweet, fun loving pup with so much to offer and just a few big-boy skills left to master.

Hi there! I’m Bab, an adorable 8-week-old Terrier mix with a BIG personality and little paws that never stop moving! I love chasing my favorite toys, running around, and turning every day into a new adventure.
I’m still learning the ropes, including potty training, so I’m working hard on my puppy manners one little paw-step at a time! With patience, love, and a few tasty treats, I know I’ll get the hang of it.
I’m playful, curious, and full of puppy energy, with plenty of cuddles and sweetness to share. If you’re looking for a fun-loving little sidekick to fill your days with laughter, love, and lots of tail wags, I might just be your perfect match.

21. Bug
Puppy (2 months 26 days) · Female · Pug

Animal Information: Bug is just an itty bitty "pug mix" that found herself in need of rescue. Who were we to say no? We are confident that little mug will get a lot of attention, and can't wait to meet her!
Foster Profile:
Bug was named by my kids, and it turned out to be the perfect fit! She may be tiny (2lbs right now!), but she’s absolutely full of spunk. Bug loves chasing her furry foster siblings around, even though they’re all significantly larger than she is. Her favorite companion is our Doberman, and it’s hilarious watching her run as fast as her little legs will carry her just to keep up with him as he casually walks across the lawn.
Read more about Bug
Bug is doing excellent with both crate and potty training. As a small-breed dog, potty training will likely be her biggest challenge, which is understandable when your bladder is about the size of a grape. She’s making great progress, though, and with frequent potty breaks, she’s primarily doing her business outside in the yard. She can hold it for up to six hours overnight, so a home with easy access to a convenient potty area would be ideal.
Bug loves playing with my children and is friendly with our cat, too. With her playful personality, tiny size, and big-dog confidence, she’s sure to make a wonderful pocket-sized companion for one very lucky family!

With a bit of training and confidence building she will grow is to a happy outgoing girl. She is crate trained and housetrained! Toffee is playful but also enjoys a good nap and snuggles. She is very food motivated, making her easy to train as she is also very smart and eager to learn. She is currently co exiting well with the 3-year-old human foster brother and would be a good addition to a family with children. She would also be happy to have another dog sibling in her forever family. She has not been cat tested but can be cat tested upon request. She is currently about 35 pounds but judging by her paws and long legs she has a few more months of growing will get a bit bigger.

23. Merv
Adult (1 year 7 months) · Male · Chihuahua / Terrier / Mixed (medium coat)

Animal Information: Merv was brought into the Stanislaus Shelter as part of a hoarding case. He was living in a home with 30 dogs, and not being cared for. Despite having never left that property before, Merv was sweet with shelter and veterinary staff. We were happy to give him a ticket to a better life here in Seattle, and can't wait to get to know him
Foster Profile:
Merv is getting neutered on 11/4 and will be available for adoption after recovery!
Read more about Merv
Foster Merv (aka Merlin) arrived two weeks ago and is slowly settling in. He didn’t come from great beginnings and that’s pretty obvious in his mannerisms. He’s pretty fearful and will sometimes cower when his foster mom reaches down to pet him, but little by little, he’s gaining confidence and learning that he’s safe and loved.
He’s doing great going potty outside and is mostly quiet in his crate. When Merv first arrived, he had no idea how to walk on a leash. Now he gets SO excited when the leash comes out and absolutely loves his walks! Watching his confidence grow has been pretty special.
Merv will need a quieter home with a patient family who will give him time to continue building trust. We think he’d really benefit from another confident dog to show him the ropes. A fenced yard would also be ideal, because while Merv now loves his walks, he has yet to decide that pooping on a leash is acceptable.
Merv is such a sweet boy, and with a little time, patience and love, we know he’s going to blossom into an absolute gem of a dog.

24. Pluto
Young (7 months) · Male · Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information: Pluto is a 38lb, 6-month-old male lab mix (mama was a lab mix, but we don't know where his stumpy legs came from!). Until recently, he and his littermates lived in an outdoor pen with out adequate access to shelter or water. Luckily they were picked up by our rescue partners, and Pluto has been loving indoor dog life. He will need to work on his leash manners, but this happy go lucky guy is made of best friend material. We can't wait to meet him!
Foster Profile:
Read more about Pluto
Pluto is a silly young pup with a beautifully brindled coat that somehow stops in the middle of his forehead, hilariously looking like the printer just ran out of ink. His ideal family will have a friendly dog to help him build his confidence, though he would also be fine as a solo dog. They will need to be patient as he's still going through his puppy phase (chewing on things, jumping on people), but this waggly little bundle of joy is social and eager to please, with a great off-switch. An active family would be ideal to help keep him from any mischief—two walks a day seem sufficient to tire him out. He can be a little pushy at times, so he will need strong leadership to teach him boundaries as he grows older. A single-family residence is preferred as he can be a little vocal when left alone, though he settles down quickly.
Pluto is learning to live life in a big city—joggers and cars used to make him nervous but he's making progress every day and walks well on a leash. He takes a moment to warm up, but he's loved every human and dog he's met. He's very food-motivated and loves to self-entertain with toys. He's crate-trained, albeit with the occasional FOMO whining. He happily puts himself in his crate when he's tired, though he does also love his couch time. He's never had an accident in his crate and easily sleeps through the night. He's got head tilts down to an art, and will be sure to bring his future family lots of laughter, joy, and snuggles!
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. if you have a little patience and a lot of love, this gal may be your match.
Animal Information: Honey is an adorable, 9-month-old Dachshund mix with a bubbly spirit and sweet personality. She was surrendered to our rescue partners in Oklahoma when her owner was no longer able to care for her due to mental health. Honey has been in foster care since, is friendly with other dogs, potty trained and does well in her crate overnight. We can't wait to meet her!

Foster Profile: meet Honey! This sweet girl is your typical teenage dog who loves to play. She’s working through some fear and sometimes needs guidance deciding if she’s excited or should be scared. She’ll benefit from a patient home and a confident resident dog to continue teaching her to be comfortable.
She can be shy meeting new people but accepts pets especially when the resident dog is also getting attention. She tests the boundaries of using her voice, but is ultimately quiet and good I know her crate. She has some reservations peeing on a leash and is still working through those insecurities, she did not have a problem when fostered in OK with a yard.

26. Mabel
Adult (2 years 4 months) · Female · Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Doberman Pinscher / Mixed (medium coat)

Animal Information:
Mabel is an estimated 2-year-old, 60-pound female Malinois mix who wound up at the shelter as a stray. She had recently had puppies, and the responding officer believed she had been dumped in the area.
When Mabel first arrived, she was very nervous and reserved in her kennel. With a little patience and encouragement from shelter staff, she slowly came out of her shell, and it didn’t take long for everyone to discover that she was actually a total lap dog!
Mabel also did well in playgroups. She started off shy and unsure, but with a little time, she warmed up and began enjoying herself with the other dogs.
Read more about Mabel
When Mabel’s time at the shelter was up, we simply couldn’t say no to giving this sweet girl a chance at the good life here in the PNW. We’re so excited to see her chapter change from survival to the happy, loving life she deserves.
Foster Profile: Mabel is a sweet happy girl looking for an active family to call her own. She does well with other dogs and would be happy for a dog sibling in her forever home but would also be ok without another dog. She loves exploring outside time and would be a great running and hiking buddy. She is working on her obedience and does well in the crate and on leash. She will need an owner with breed experience to continue her training. She would do well in a home with older dog savvy kids. Due to her prey drive we are not considering a home with cats.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Animal Information: Archie is
3.5-old Cattle Dog X puppy who somehow found himself in the Stanislaus shelter in California. NOT cool.
This sweet boy
deserved way better, and, like, one look at those totally adorable eyes and we were all, “Dude… we gotta get him out of there."
So we did.
This sweet boy is staying in the rescue center with our contact in California to keep him out of the general population in the shelter while he waits for his freedom ride north
– he is the sweetest, and he loves his crate!

His favorite activities are running around with the kids in the back yard, he loves the outdoors and playing with the other dogs. He would love a yard that he can go play in and I think he would be a great hiking companion.

Meet Gus, a big boy with a lot of personality. Even at only 4 months old he is quickly mastering every challenge I throw at him. Potty training is in process, he will sit, lie down, settle and run to his kennel for dinner. He sleeps through the night, walks on a leash and has great recall. His ideal home will have a secure fence with room to play. He is smart so he will need a job to keep his brain busy. Ideally, another dog in the home will help with training. He already mimics my resident dog and picks up commands by imitation.
I can't say enough good about this boy. He is snuggly, entertains himself well and really wants to please. He will make a wonderful companion.

Foster Profile: Lily is a sweet gentle soul. She’s learning to bring out her rough and tumble side and we see her make more choices with gumption daily which is great to see. The first few days transitioning into the groove at her foster home things were overwhelming for her but it turns out she’s really not a shy girl at all! She really enjoys both people and dogs. She may still need a slower intro with a more boisterous dog but eventually really enjoys running and wrestling. Potty training was also a big learning curve for her but we have seen HUGE improvements in that category as well. She’s calm and quiet in her crate. When she’s a sleepy girl she’s a total noodle which is exceptionally cute with her growing body. We expect her to be medium to large with how quickly she’s already growing. Lily loves food to support all of her speedy growing. She currently lives with a dog savvy cat and is doing well existing and interacting.

30. Sassy
Young (1 year 2 months) · Female · Cattle Dog / Mixed (medium coat)

Animal Information: Sassy is a 1-year-old petite girl weighing about 40 lbs. Our rescue partners described her as a “Walmart greeter” because she is happy to meet every person and dog she comes across.
Sassy was found in a small rural area of about 2,000 people east of Tulsa, and sadly no one came looking for her. She’s an energetic girl who also knows how to settle down and chill. She loves playing with stuffed animals and, when it’s time to relax, she’ll lean right into you for attention.
Sassy is a sweet, social girl who would love a family that enjoys having a fun, happy dog around.

Foster Profile: Sassy LOVES People! She also gets along great with foster's resident dog and loves to jump and wrestle with him. She loves playing with other dogs and would love to have a balanced canine companion in her forever home. While she would do awesome on hikes and loves playtime, she also loves to snuggle and relax after a good session of exercise. She sleeps through the night in her crate with no problem and while she might get some FOMO when in crate when you are home, she quickly settles down. Sassy will need some leash work as she is a puller, but we are working on that! She likes to play fetch with a tennis ball and enjoys chewing on semi soft toys as well. She knows "sit" and "drop it". She is a young, smart, eager to please and learn girl who will benefit from continued play and training-- she's a keeper!

31. Dumpling
Adult (1 year 3 months) · Female · Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information: Dumpling is a 1-year-old bully mix that weighs 50lbs. She was seized from a property in Louisiana with too many dogs. Our rescue partner couldn’t ignore her sweet face and full-body wags, so they had to meet her—and we’re so glad they did.
Dumpling has done well with both large and small dogs. She’s friendly, playful, and happy to meet new people. She has soft, easy body language and enjoys play, while also respecting when another dog says they’ve had enough.
She’s a sweet, social girl who deserves a loving home, and we’re excited to help her find that here in the PNW.
Read more about Dumpling
Foster Profile:
Dumpling is a sweet, playful girl who loves playtime just as much as a good nap. She can be cautious in new situations, but warms up quickly with patience and treats.
She’s potty trained, walks nicely on leash, does well in her crate, and knows “sit.” She’s still working on her manners (including keeping her paws off the counters!).
With proper introductions, Dumpling is doing well with our resident dog. She can get excited and fixated when she sees people or dogs on walks, so she’ll need someone willing to continue working with her on staying calm and disengaging.
At home, she loves being chased, playing tug, and chewing on rope toys. After some playtime, she’s happy to curl up next to you and nap. She’s a sweet, affectionate, easygoing little dog who just wants to be near her people.
She has a high prey drive for squirrels, bunnies, and crows so she would likely do best in a feline free household.

He arrived at the Caddo Parish Shelter as a stray, but quickly made friends with our rescue partner. Foster Profile:
Tenny has matured so much these last few weeks. He is quiet in his crate, has excellent leash manners, and his puppy chewing has minimized a lot! He has traveled with us and is an excellent house guest. He does well with other dogs but would be a great only dog too. He is so cute. He is very sweet and loves all people. He will be a great dog for an active person or family. He is still very much a puppy. He is a fun little clown but will get into anything. He is a fast learner and is coming along well with household manners, leash manners, and crate training. He will need someone who is committed to training and is willing to go through the “puppy stage”. He is house trained, so that part is done.

34. Little Chili
Adult (2 years 2 months) · Female · Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat)

Animal Information: Chili was brought into the Stanislaus shelter in California as an owner surrender with a senior dog. The senior was adopted and she was left behind. This poor girl was so shut down and terrified that she was immediately at risk for euthanasia, because no one wants to adopt a small black dog that cowers in the back of the kennel. Chili spend a couple of weeks in a California foster, where it was discovered that she loves other dogs. She takes time to warm up to people, but is sweet wants to make friends.

Meet Chili, a sweet little soul with a big heart waiting to blossom. She’s a gentle girl who takes her time feeling safe, so she’ll thrive best with a patient, understanding home. While she’s still building confidence around people, she’s beginning to trust by allowing gentle pets and touches when she’s ready. With love and consistency, Chili has the potential to become a deeply affectionate and loyal companion.
She’s already potty trained, enjoys cozy crate time, and is slowly revealing her clever, playful, and spunky side. Chili gets along wonderfully with dogs of similar size, though she feels more comfortable around smaller or same-sized friends than with larger dogs. Due to this, Chili does require a home with another dog. She’s not quite ready to be picked up yet, but every day she’s showing more curiosity and courage. The right family will have the joy of watching her transform into the loving, confident dog she’s meant to be.

36. Skip
Young (9 months) · Male · Shepherd / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information: Skip got his name because of the things that make him a little different. He was born with deformed back legs, and doesn’t have paws. Skip (who now goes by Hank in his foster home) is estimated to be around 10 months old and was living on a property in Yakima with more than 30 other dogs. Our rescue partners were in the area for a spay and neuter clinic when Skip and his brother Pogo were brought in. Without rescue placement, they would have been altered and released simply because there is not enough space in their local shelter.
Read more about Skip
We knew we could help, so Pogo and Skip are now making their way across the state to Dog Gone Seattle.Despite never having been inside a home, both boys are able to be handled. They are shy and understandably unsure of the world, but they are incredibly sweet.
Foster Profile: Skip (aka Hank) is a sweet boy who would loves to cuddle with us and chew on his toys. He is adjusting very well to life here, his little back nubs don't keep him from enjoying a full life. (watch his video to see how much he loves to run and play!) He enjoys hanging out with the resident dogs in his foster home and would be happy with a fur companion in his new home as well. He can be a little nervous around new things but recovers pretty easily. We think another balanced dog in the home would help him feel more confident. He loves to play hard and enjoys sniff spots and goes on 2 mi walks every day! He is crate trained and does well on a leash and has been great with all the people he has met. He is food motivated so training has been pretty easy. Skip enjoys lounging,
but is also a curious and loving pup-- the best of both worlds! He would love to be part of a family that can see his potential!

38. Bertie
Senior (7 years 8 months) · Female · Hound / Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Animal Information:
Bertie is a 7.5-year-old, 60lb hound mix who was adopted from Seattle Humane as a puppy. She is being surrendered because she needs more routine, attention, and activity than her owner can provide due to work demands.
Read more about Bertie
Her owner lives alone on Whidbey Island and works in Seattle 2-3 days a week. Most of the time Bertie cannot come along, so she spends many hours home alone. Her owner's job is also requiring more frequent travel, and there is a possibility of an overseas move within the next year. Bertie would do best in a home where she has more companionship, a consistent routine, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and interaction.
Bertie is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being with her person. She enjoys walks, relaxing at home, and simply being close to the people she loves. She is happiest when she can be part of her family's daily life.
She is house-trained, crate-trained, and friendly with people. She does best with slow, proper introductions to other dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in the home.

39. Cooper
Adult (3 years 5 months) · Male · Chihuahua (short coat)

Animal Information:
Cooper is a 3-year-old, 7-pound Chihuahua who came to the Stanislaus shelter as part of an animal welfare case, where she and 18 other dogs were lovingly cared for by shelter staff while the District Attorney's office worked through the legal process. Once the dogs were finally released and available for rescue, we knew we had to help.
Cooper, along with Freckles, Littles, and Tasha, all came from the same home. Although he's a little shy at first, he has been incredibly sweet with the shelter staff and just needs a little time to feel safe and let his personality shine.
Read more about Cooper
We can't wait to welcome him to the Pacific Northwest and show her what the good life is all about
Foster Profile:
Cooper, aka Fruit Bat, is a sweet, shy pup who has blossomed since arriving in Seattle. He lives happily with one human, another dog, and two cats and is gentle and submissive with everyone. Once he settles in, he is a total lovebug who wants to follow you around, cuddle, and give lots of kisses. His favorite thing in the world is affection, and he will happily bump his head into you for pets or roll around on you like a cat.
Cooper has also discovered that food and toys are pretty great. He gets excited for mealtimes and playtime, is learning to play fetch, and loves tossing his toys around after dinner. He knows "boop," "sit," and "lie down," and gets the funniest Chihuahua zoomies before bed. He is a very quiet dog, easy to handle, and happily allows daily nail trims and teeth brushing.
He is fully potty trained in his foster home and has been fantastic in his crate from day one. He sleeps in his crate overnight and when left alone and has done well for up to five hours.
The outside world is still a little scary for Cooper, but he has made huge strides. He has gone from being afraid to leave the front door to regularly joining longer walks around Seattle, riding the bus and light rail, and exploring trails on weekends. He has even enjoyed three to four hour trail adventures and has the potential to be a wonderful hiking buddy. He walks well with both small and large dogs and generally wants to stay close to his pack. When something scares him, he may freeze for a moment or create some distance, but he is easy to redirect and continues to gain confidence with each new experience.
Cooper would thrive with a patient, supportive person who can help him navigate new and scary things at his own pace. He is looking for a home with at least one other canine companion.
Cooper is perfectly happy being a cozy homebody, but he also loves getting out to explore. Most of all, he is a gentle, affectionate little guy who has come so far and is ready to keep discovering how wonderful life can be.
