Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation: 9 Dogs and Puppies for Adoption
By Dogs of the Day · Updated

Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation in Las Vegas, NV has 9 dogs and puppies up for adoption. Here are all 9, each with photos, their story and how to get in touch.
Right now that's 4 young dogs and 3 adults.
1. Yuto
Adult (6 years) · Male · Beagle

Meet Yuto — a handsome Beagle ready to give his heart to the right family!
Yuto is a striking 6-year-old Beagle whose good looks are matched by a sweet, affectionate nature. He came to us as an owner surrender when his family realized they no longer had enough time for him. As a classic “pandemic pup,” he spent his early years with them and is now adjusting to life in rescue after six years in a home.
Read more about Yuto
We’ve noticed he experiences some separation anxiety and may whine or bark when left alone. This is common in dogs who have always had company, and we’re hopeful it will ease as he settles and builds new confidence. In his previous home he was being bullied by another dog, yet he still gets along well with other dogs and remains gentle and friendly.
Yuto is carrying a little extra weight and needs to lose about 5–7 pounds for his long-term health — something an active, food-motivated Beagle like him will happily work on with the right guidance. True to his breed, he is highly food-driven and thrives on positive, treat-based training and affection.
This loving boy is ready for a patient forever home where he can be the center of attention, receive consistent exercise and a healthy diet, and never again wonder if he has enough time or love. If you’re looking for a devoted, handsome companion who will repay your care with endless loyalty and Beagle charm, Yuto is waiting to meet you!
Adoption fee is $275 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..
We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.
Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or older

2. Solstice
Young (8 months) · Female · Beagle

Meet Solstice — a radiant young Beagle ready to light up the right home!
Solstice is a beautiful young female Beagle with bright eyes, a sweet face, and a heart full of potential. We were told she was born in February (which would make her about 8 months old), though based on her size and development we feel she is closer to 10–12 months of age.
Read more about Solstice
Her early life was far from ideal — we believe she came from a backyard breeding situation. Her original owners kept her briefly, then quickly tried to get rid of her when they realized how much energy a puppy truly has. A kind neighbor stepped in to help, but soon discovered his own family wasn’t prepared for an active young dog either. That’s when he reached out to us, and Solstice finally found the safety she deserved.
When she arrived, she had never received even the most basic care — no vaccines as a puppy and she was still unspayed. We’re so happy to share that she is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, and simply awaiting her spay appointment. The hardest part of her journey is behind her.
What we’ve discovered about Solstice is pure Beagle joy: she is active, playful, and bursting with curiosity. Like many young hounds, she can counter-surf, may destroy toys if left unsupervised, and pulls with enthusiasm on walks. These are simply the signs of a bright puppy who needs guidance, structure, and plenty of positive outlets for her energy. The wonderful news? She is very smart and learns quickly — with consistent, patient training she will shine.
Solstice needs an active, committed family ready to channel her puppy enthusiasm into good manners and help her grow into a well-mannered adult. In return, she will offer boundless affection, playfulness, and the loyal companionship that Beagles are famous for.
This special girl has already overcome a rocky start. Now she’s simply looking for the loving home that will help her become the best version of herself. If you’re ready to guide a smart, beautiful young Beagle into a bright future filled with walks, play, and lots of love, Solstice is waiting to meet you!

3. Delaney
Adult (6 years 4 months) · Female · Beagle

Meet Delaney
Delaney is a sweet 6-year-old female Beagle with a gentle spirit and an easy-going personality. She’s on the smaller side for her breed and currently weighs about 18 pounds—she could stand to lose a few, but that just means she’ll look even more adorable once she’s at a healthier weight!
Delaney generally gets along well with other dogs. She may get a little cautious if too many pups try to sniff her at once, but overall she’s a laid-back girl who enjoys canine company.

Delaney does have Addison’s disease, a manageable adrenal condition. She’s currently maintained with inexpensive daily medication and regular injections. With consistent care, she can live a happy, comfortable life.
If you have the time, commitment, and love to give this special little Beagle the forever home she deserves, Delaney is ready to become your loyal companion.

4. Jacques
Young (1 year 4 months) · Male · Beagle / Mixed

Meet Jacques — a playful young pup who’s ready to steal your heart!
Jacques is a one-year-old mixed-breed boy with a whole lot of energy and charm. Standing just a bit taller than a standard Beagle, he’s the perfect size for adventure and snuggles alike. When we first pulled him from the shelter, he was understandably terrified. For a few days he kept to himself, but on day four something clicked — and he’s never looked back. Now he’s an affectionate dog who loves to cuddle in and play with both people and other dogs.

This lively guy has “play” written all over him! He especially adores tug-of-war and games of keep-away, and he’d thrive with another active, playful dog companion — or at the very least, an energetic family who can keep up with his fun-loving spirit. Jacques is already house-trained and happily uses a dog door, making him an easy addition to the right home.
He may take a short moment to warm up to new people (a few barks at first is just his way of saying “hi”), but once he knows you’re a friend, he’s all in with affection and enthusiasm.
Jacques is looking for a patient, active forever family who will match his playful energy and give him the love and stability he deserves. If you’re ready for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s just beginning to shine, Jacques is waiting to meet you!

5. Meadow Rue
Young (2 years 1 month) · Female · Maltese / Mixed

Meet Meadow Rue!
We call her Rue for short. Meadow rue is a soft, puffy white flower—and she reminded us of one the moment we met her.
Read more about Meadow Rue
Rue is approximately 1–2 years old. She was found on the street, and no one came forward to claim her. When she arrived, she had a rash that we believe was allergy-related. We’ve gotten that mostly under control by limiting certain foods that seemed to trigger her. She also has a very sensitive stomach. We had her thoroughly checked to rule out megaesophagus—she does not have it (we didn’t think she did, but wanted a definitive answer). She eats a low-fat food and must be fed very slowly: just a few kibbles at a time, or less than half a teaspoon if using canned or freeze-dried food. If she is not fed this way, she will vomit repeatedly after eating. We believe these challenges may be why she was abandoned.
Rue is a young, active, and playful dog who is also very affectionate. She knows how to use a dog door. She does best with another active dog; if you don’t already have one, we will only consider homes that can provide frequent playtime with other energetic, playful dogs. She plays daily with the other dogs and her toys. Being young, she still enjoys digging.
She was not vetted before coming to us but is now fully up to date. She requires regular grooming. We’re not certain of her breed, but she may be a Maltipoo. She’s a small dog with long legs that make her appear a bit taller.
Do you think you might be the right home for this lively girl?

7. Doug
2 Years 1 Month · Male · Shih Tzu

Meet Doug — a true little survivor ready for his happily-ever-after!
Doug is a 2-year-old male Shih Tzu whose story is nothing short of inspiring. He came to us from a shelter when his life was hanging in the balance — a matted, neglected little boy with severe ear and skin infections. His ears were painfully infected, his coat was a tangled mess, and his body showed signs of past hardship, including numerous scabs. One of his eyes had never fully developed, leaving him essentially blind on that side.
Read more about Doug
We wasted no time getting him the care he desperately needed. After thorough veterinary treatment, careful grooming to free him from his mats, and successful surgery (including neutering and removal of the undeveloped eye), Doug is finally turning a corner. He’s recovering beautifully and blossoming into the happy, playful dog he was always meant to be.
Today, Doug is full of personality! He loves playing with toys, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is an early riser ready to start each day with enthusiasm. Like all Shih Tzus, he’ll need regular grooming to keep that soft coat healthy and comfortable — a small price to pay for the joy he brings.
Doug has already overcome so much. Now he’s simply looking for a patient, loving forever home that will give him the stability, care, and affection he so richly deserves. If you’re ready to welcome a resilient little guy with a big heart into your life, Doug is waiting to meet you!

8. Taylor
Adult (4 years 1 month) · Female · Beagle

Meet Taylor — a gentle soul who’s ready to fill a home with love!
Taylor is an adorable 4-year-old girl with a heart as sweet as her face. Her past likely involved being used for breeding before she was abandoned at a shelter, but those days are behind her now. When she came to us she was anemic (most likely from fleas) and carrying a little extra weight, but thanks to dedicated care her bloodwork is steadily improving, she’s been fully vetted and spayed, and she’s shed those unwanted pounds. Today she looks and feels so much better — a true testament to her quiet resilience.

This mellow, affectionate girl simply adores her people. She melts into every cuddle and thrives on gentle companionship. Taylor gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets — people and dogs alike — making her an easy, loving addition to almost any household.
She’s already overcome so much and is now ready for the one thing she’s always deserved: a permanent, loving home where she can spend her days being cherished. If you’re looking for a calm, cuddly companion who will repay your kindness with endless affection, Taylor is waiting to become the best part of your family.

9. Orion
Young (1 year 8 months) · Male · Beagle

Meet Orion
Orion came from the Ridglan Farms research facility. At about one and a half years old, he is not a typical beagle—or even a typical dog. He never knew a loving home. Born in a lab, he was taken from his mother as soon as possible and spent nearly every hour of his life in a cage, only leaving it for testing.
Smaller than most, Orion appears to have been bullied by the other beagles forced to share his cage. He arrived covered in scars on his ears—old bite marks that tell the story of a life spent surviving rather than living.
Read more about Orion
When he first came to us five months ago, Orion was one of the most shut-down beagles we have ever received. He has been slowly learning to trust, one small step at a time. Dogs are his greatest comfort; people still frighten him. He will need a home with at least one well-balanced, confident dog. Canine companionship is essential for him. He will likely regress when he moves to a new home, but we hope he will not fall as far back as where he started.
Today, Orion sleeps in bed with his foster every night. He plays with other dogs all day and loves his toys—especially burying them (sometimes right in your bed). Like many young dogs, he still digs. He has learned to use a dog door and has come a long way from the terrified dog who refused to come out from under a bush on his first night with us.
Yet the world still overwhelms him. Loud noises, sudden movements, or even something as ordinary as a rolling suitcase can send him bolting outside to bay in fear. He has never experienced everyday life, so many things remain strange and scary. For this reason, we do not recommend homes with young toddlers or small children, whose unpredictable energy can be too much for him.
When he feels safe—usually when you are at his level, such as lying in bed—Orion softens. He will allow gentle stroking and massaging of his neck, ears, and belly, and he clearly loves it. He now eats well, though he arrived not really knowing how.
Orion needs a patient, kind, and understanding family willing to move at his pace as he continues learning what it means to live in a home. He still requires leash work; he remains very uncomfortable on a leash, and we have not been able to spend significant time on this yet. He currently wears a Fi GPS collar that will transfer with him, including six months of free service. It is very important that this stay on him.
Orion has already shown remarkable progress. With time, consistency, and the right home, he will only continue to bloom.
Adoption fee is $600 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue.
