Gibson

Adult (4 years 1 month) · Male · Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Gibson is with our rescue partner in Louisiana and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter. We do offer foster-to-adopt trials for approved adopters.

Gibson, believed to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix, is a little sidekick with a big personality! He and his buddy Bramble, who is also available for adoption, were found together as strays. Now, this sweet boy is more than ready to trade his wandering days for a forever home of his own.

Gibson may take a minute to feel comfortable with new people, but once he does, you’ll see that he is outgoing, affectionate, and full of fun. He enjoys any time spent in the yard, is always happy to go on a nice leash walk, and loves to alternate between zoomies and nap time. Gibson has life all figured out!

Gibson is house-trained, friendly with kids and other dogs, and has shown no food or toy aggression. He’s really just a good boy waiting for someone to give him the safe, loving home he deserves! If you’re looking for a compact adventure buddy and a professional nap companion, Gibson may be your guy.

Gibson is fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He tested positive for heart worm and will need treatment when he comes to NJ, which will require two trips to our vet in Barnegat followed by a low-activity rest period. His adoption donation is $500.

Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animal have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
