Every little Luna needs her sunshine… and maybe a doggy best friend
!
Luna is a sweet little girl who just needs a little help finding her confidence! At around 4 months old, she's still figuring out this big world, and while she can be shy when meeting new people, there's something that really brings her out of her shell… OTHER DOGS! ❤️
Read more about Luna
Luna absolutely adores her canine friends. When she was initially on her own, she was nervous and a bit unsure of herself. But once she had a doggy companion by her side, her personality started to shine! We think Luna would really benefit from having another friendly, confident dog in her forever home to help her continue blossoming.
And don't let her puppy age fool you! Luna is a pretty easygoing little girl. She's happy entertaining herself, loves a good bone, enjoys playing fetch, and doesn't make a peep in her crate. She's learning to walk nicely on a leash and is making great progress with both crate training and potty training.
Luna is looking for a patient, loving family who will give her time to settle in, build her confidence, and discover just how wonderful life can be. A home with another friendly dog would be ideal for this little girl!
Luna has received two vaccines and her rabies vaccine and is waiting with our shelter partner in North Carolina for a foster or adopter to help her make her way to New Jersey.
Could your home be the place where Luna finally feels right at home?

Read more about Oakley
Oakley is a friendly, loving girl who enjoys meeting new people and making friends wherever she goes. She's a big fan of back scratches, playing tug-of-war with her siblings, and having fun with her favorite toys. She's got a goofy, playful side, but she's also a total sweetheart who would be perfectly happy snuggling up and enjoying some quality time with her people. And with her affectionate personality, don't be surprised if she thinks she's a lap dog!
At approximately 29 pounds, Oakley is expected to grow to around 40–50 pounds. She has a moderate energy level and would love a family who can offer a nice balance of playtime, exercise, training, and plenty of affection. She's not house-trained just yet, so she'll need a family willing to be patient and consistent as she learns her new routine and all the important things about being a family dog.
Oakley gets along with other dogs and is good with children. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. She would love a home with a securely fenced yard (6-foot fencing required) where she can safely play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who is just as happy playing with her toys as she is soaking up belly rubs and cuddles, Oakley could be your perfect match!
This beautiful girl has so much love to give. All she needs now is a family to call her own!
Oakley is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Oakley has been spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $600.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Adult (2 years 5 months) · Male · Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Shih Tzu / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Max — a tiny boy with a big heart who’s learning what it means to be loved.
Meet Max
A gentle little soul looking for a quiet home and someone who understands that trust takes time.
Max is shy and easily frightened by new people and places, but give him patience and space, and his sweet side begins to shine. Once he feels safe, he loves being close—curling up in your lap or following you from room to room.
Read more about Max
He’d do best in a calm, adult-only home. A secure fenced yard and close supervision are important, as he may try to escape when scared. If he has a dog companion, a calm one would be best. He may also need patience with potty accidents when left alone.
Max doesn’t need you to rush him. Just give him time, kindness, and a safe place to belong.
Max is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. He will be neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

18. Scar and Bubba
Adult (3 years 4 months) · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Bubba and Scar are with our partner rescue in Mississippi and can catch a ride to NJ with an approved adopter or foster. These brothers MUST be fostered and/or adopted together.
Two. Together.
Scar and Bubba need someone very special. Someone willing to see two boys who deserve a chance—and a life together.
Found together, these boys share an incredibly deep bond. We don’t know whether they’re biological brothers, but we know they’re family. Wherever Bubba goes, Scar is right beside him.
Read more about Scar and Bubba
Bubba, the gray-blue boy, is the more outgoing half of this duo. He loves every dog he’s met, including puppies, and is great with kids. He walks beautifully on a leash and is mostly a calm, chill guy with a curious streak and a love of exploring.
Scar, the gray-and-white boy, is quieter and takes his confidence from Bubba. He follows his buddy’s lead and sticks close to his side. He’s great with other dogs, has done well with older kids, and both boys were wonderful with the people they met at an adoption event.
Their wish list comes with a few nonnegotiables:
• A foster or adoptive home together—Scar especially depends on Bubba.
• A secure, 6-foot fence and supervised yard time. Bubba can climb fences, so he cannot be left outside alone, even in a fenced yard.
• Someone ready to help them through heartworm treatment. Both boys are heartworm-positive.
We know it’s a big ask. Two bonded pit bulls, specific fencing needs, and heartworm treatment—that’s a lot standing between them and a home. But none of it makes them any less deserving.
Somewhere out there, we hope there’s a person who has room for two—and understands why, for these boys, one without the other simply won’t do.
Bubba and Scar will be up to date vaccines and are being treated for heartworm. They are both neutered and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $900.

Oogie Boogie may have a spooky name, but he’s the sweetest little soul!
This adorable pittie mix puppy was surrendered simply because his people no longer wanted him. But Oogie Boogie has so much love to give and he’s ready for a family who wants him forever.

He’s dog and kid-friendly, affectionate, and pretty calm for a puppy. He’s a quiet little guy, he isn’t mouthy, and he hasn’t shown any food aggression. Oogie is working on hard on puppy basics including house-training, leash skills, and basic manners. He’s a smart, curious boy who loves following you around and watching everything you do—especially mopping. He’s fairly certain the mop is a toy and would like to join the fun!
We suspect he’ll grow into more of a low-riding, short pittie at around 45 pounds, but we already know he’s an all-around sweetheart. Nothing scary here—just a good boy looking for a love that lasts!
Oogie Boogie is fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He tested negative for heart worm. His adoption donation is $600.
