By Dogs of the Day · Updated

Husky House in Matawan, NJ has 10 dogs and puppies up for adoption. Here are all 10, each with photos, their story and how to get in touch.
Right now that's 1 young dog and 8 adults.
1. Rosalyn
Adult · Female · Shepherd / Mixed

Hardcore For Pits
Rosalyn has been with us for just over a year. Her temporary spot was just that, temporary. We stretched it to a year and we can stretch no further.
If a foster home is not found she will be going into a kennel. We have given her a quiet, stress free environment and trained her with compassion and grace. We fear that all of the progress we have made with her will be lost.

Rosalyn is smart, affectionate and playful. The one thing we have learned is that she is fearful. If you follow us you know that we have had and still have many fearful dogs and we get them where they need to be. We never rush things! She will take a bit of time to settle in but once she trusts you,
she is yours. Her favorite volunteer walker can do anything to her!
Rosalyn will need a foster or forever home with someone who will not push and just wait, an extremely hard thing to do.A dog like her is indeed special and we hope to find a person that will see her for who she is and take her home. If you have any interest please reach out to njshpetrescue@gmail.com with questions.
2. Daisy

3. John
Adult · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier

Hardcore For Pits
Meet John! John is a 73# lap x velcro dog cross who’s currently living his best life with his foster mama. He truly embodies the drake lyric, “I only love my bed and my mama” except, he’s not sorry. While John may be the sweetest boy, who just wants to give & receive love his story could have ended much differently. Originally born into a home for breeding, & profitable purposes where he was constantly told to cap his emotions has left him confused. The fact that they didn’t want him to react to things that confuse or upset him has been proven to be the root of his anxiety which is maintained with once daily medications. Thanks to Hardcore4pits, & his foster mama, John is on the road to the good life.

John really is a big mush who loves his people, and dogs. He’s currently living with 3 other pups, one of which is his bestie for the restie. With leashed introductions he’s ready to play hard, or ignore other pups depending on their demeanors and agendas. John’s BIG emotions make him unsuitable for children, or cats. John loves being outside, basking in the sun with his people & pups, while enjoying a woof pupsicle, or Barkbox super chewer toy! He’s a fast learner who’s willing to be your ride or die through it all. Interested in adopting John? Fill out an application today!
