A SWEET DOGGIE FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 32 lbs.

Hi there, I'm Harvey! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control along with another friend, and I'm so happy to be safe and loved while I wait for my forever family. I'm in a wonderful foster home now while I wait for my furever family to find me. Perhaps you?

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with a dog friend and have met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them. I also liked to run around with and nap next to the 25-lb. puppy and 45-lb. 3-year-old dog in a temp. foster home, as well as the 8–10-year-old female dogs I snuggled with in another foster home, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! / My current foster says I'm great with her cat—interested but very respectful! All cats are different, so I'm not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I liked to snuggle with and enjoyed my time with the calm 15-year-old girl who visited my former foster home. I've also been sweet with the calm younger kids I've met in the neighborhood in my current foster. However, when I resided at the shelter and met more rambunctious kids, I did not care for them, so, if you have calm kids around 10+, let's meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a sweet, handsome boy with a gentle and happy personality and a loving heart. I can be a little shy and timid when I first meet new people, especially men, or experience new things, but my friendly nature quickly shines through. My foster says “everyone who has met him, me included, thinks he's perfect. He is such a good boy.” My fosters think I would do really well with someone who is home quite a bit who is looking for a wonderful constant companion as I really love being a little shadow. Do you need one? Can't you just picture it? Wherever you go, I would be there to trot alongside, hang out on the couch, play with some fun squeaky toys . . . wherever you are, I would just be happy to be there! / Energy level: 4-6.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I've mastered the 'sit' command and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I did well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. In my foster home, I do well in my crate while they go to work for a few hours. When it's time for bed, I go into my crate for a treat and may bark for a minute, then I sleep well overnight. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule. In foster, I did a bit of marking the first day each time I went to a new house, but after my foster tells me 'no', I have had good potty manners after that.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like cuddling on the couch, going for walks, following my foster everywhere, spending time with them just making sure they know that they are loved! I also enjoy treats, Nylabones, squeaky toys, spending time with my dog friends, and giving you some sweet kisses! I enjoy riding in the car so I'm here if you need someone to ride shotgun! / Other than being rushed into new situations or new relationships and spending much time in a crate, like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
