• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I've done very well with the two dogs in my first foster home, both of whom were male and around 15–20 pounds. I was very respectful when meeting them, even rolling over to show my belly to the more nervous one. Once they became comfortable with me, I got the zoomies and started inviting them to play! I shared toys nicely, enjoyed a fun game of tug-o-war with one of them, and loved having playmates. If the more nervous dog felt I was getting a little too energetic, he would give me a correction, and I listened, backed off, and gave him space. Of course, I'd kindly try again a little later—lol! I've been a wonderful housemate and have shown that I can be playful while still respecting another dog's boundaries. So, if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! / I've had a lovely introduction to the cat in my first foster home! She usually NEVER approaches dogs she doesn't know, but she took a liking to me almost immediately. I was very gentle and respectful of my new feline friend! Of course, all cats are different, so I'm not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was a shy guy at the shelter, but once I went into my foster home, my fun-loving, happy personality just came out to surprise my foster family! I loved being included in all the activity with the people and other pets and was such a good guest that they said I was the best right from the start! I can't wait to settle into a home of my own where I can share in all the good times with you! / Energy level: 4-6.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and though I wasn't quite ready to play, I also didn't show any aggression. I've been calm and interested in meeting other dogs in my foster home and coexisted nicely with a 9-year-old female dog about my size in a weekend foster home, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / In my foster home, I've enjoyed being around the gentle grandkids who are 3, 5 and 8 years old and getting lots of belly rubs from them, but do startle easily so calm-natured gentle kids like these children is a must and of course let's meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a gentle boy who can be timid and fearful at first, especially in a new environment with lots of different people coming and going. Once you gain my trust, though, I'm a completely different boy—a loving little fellow who will happily give you kisses to let you know just how much I adore you! I'm settling in and becoming more comfortable every day, but because I can be a flight risk when I'm scared, I may try to slip through gates or fenced areas in a new environment, so please take extra care to keep me safe and secure. I believe I'd thrive in a calm, quiet home without a lot of people coming and going, where I can relax, build my confidence, and show you my wonderful personality. My weekend foster said I was "great in the car, quiet, polite and a true joy!" My current foster says I am “so sweet and whoever gets me will be in love with me….I'm the BEST!” Give me a little time and patience, and I'll show you what a loving companion I am! / Energy level: 4-6.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the 'sit', 'stay' and 'come' commands and have good leash manners and accept friendly strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / Even though I wasn't fond of the crate in the shelter, my current foster says I sleep in the crate at night with no problems and I did well in a crate for a previous foster getaway, so it may just depend on the setting. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule, though I have been known to mark on my way outside. This is very trainable, so just ask about that. My potty manners are good in my current foster home with no accidents since they walk me every 2 to 3 hours.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love giving kisses and soaking up affection from my people! Belly rubs, gentle scratches, snuggles and relaxing in laps and dog beds are some of my favorite things. I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we like doing together in our new home! / I'm not fond of being rushed and overhead movements make me nervous. I don't like being left home alone so a family who is home a lot would be ideal for me. Like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I'm on an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin that's good for all older dogs. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.

I'm looking for a nice quiet and calm type home and family to love! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them. I also went on a daytrip recently with my trainer and saw lots of dogs from a distance, showed some interest, but was very polite, even with those who barked at me . . . because I'm a very good girl! If you have a nice dog at home already that would like a puppy friend, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a very sweet pup, full of joy that I love to share with all the nice volunteers. When we go on walks, I like having my carrot toy with me—it helps keep my puppy teeth busy and makes me feel confident. I was a perfect angel pup for my bath. I stood very still and even gave kisses because I felt so safe. Afterward, I loved being held and carried around so I could look out the window and watch everything happening outside. I sat nicely for a treat, trying my best to be polite and show how good I can be. I'm sweet, friendly, and I really like toys, sometimes so much so that I may get a hand accidently while playing, so please trade me another toy for the one I have. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I love walking alongside and playing in the pen with my dog friends at Mostly Mutts, where I really take their lead and come out of my shell. I like the older, large male dog in my foster home, but he doesn't want to play with me and I really need a dog companion. My trainer thinks I would highly benefit from having a friendly, confident dog in my home to help me come out of my shell, so if you have a dog like this at home, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts. On a daytrip, I did well with the 15-year-old, but growled when the younger kids approached me. Older kids 15+ who understand that I am learning to trust would be best, so let's meet.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My trainer says I am so sweet and loving. I am a bit shy at first, but once I know I can trust you, I'll shower you with love and affection. My whole body wags when my favorite people get down on the ground with me. I am already figuring out that toys can be fun and even show a few zoomies when I'm with my favorite people. I got to help in the shelter office a few times and I enjoyed playing with the toys there and even started seeking out more attention each time—do you need an office dog? Could it be you? / Energy level: 3-5, which may increase as I become more comfortable.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit' command, I am working on my confidence walking on a leash—it helps me to take a certain route that I am familiar with—and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I am doing well in my little room at Mostly Mutts, but I have been hesitant to come out, as I am working on some threshold challenges, but treats and my new dog friend are helping me to make strides. / I'm having accidents on the shelter schedule, improving a bit on doing #1 outside. On a recent daytrip, I had a #2 accident in the house, but did #1 outside. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like it when my people get down on the floor with me. I also like belly rubs, giving kisses and running zoomies once I feel safe. I enjoy car rides and exploring some quieter places, especially if I have a dog friend along. I am learning that soft toys and tennis balls can be fun. I know we'll discover lots more things we enjoy doing together! / I don't like spending time outside so a fenced yard would be a good safe space to spend time together. I also don't like people to go too quickly with me or that scary bath sprayer and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am taking an inexpensive stress/anxiety medication to help with some mild anxiety that I'm experiencing. Hopefully I will no longer need it once I've settled into my new home.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: Though I came in with another dog, I have not liked the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so I think I’d like to be your only dog. I’ll be tested with dogs again in the prison/foster training program. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, though I do guard my food and possibly some other items, so older kids that can follow guidelines with me will be best. Let’s say 10+ mature kids and of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, sometimes sassy, sweet little girl who’s full of fun and enjoys being around my people. I can be a bit timid at first, but I settle in quickly and my cheerful personality shines through. I was a brave girl during my bath, happily standing at the edge of the tub for my shampoo, rinse, and ear cleaning, and I was a busy, friendly little one during my photo session too. During my temporary foster stay, I settled in quickly but had a brief snappy moment with my foster dad one evening when he sat with me on the floor. Since I had liked him before that and was perfectly happy with him again the next morning, it appears to have been a one-time incident that perhaps had to do with a darker environment. In the off-site training program, I preferred to spend time indoors. I got to go on a daytrip to Swift Cantrell Park recently with one of my favorite volunteers and I had so much fun—she even made a video about it so please check it out! Spoiler alert: I rode well in the car, loved walking, exploring, checking out the joggers, wearing sunglasses and having a pup cup! / Energy level: 3-5.

I can be a little snappy with leashing and have made contact with a volunteer, so I’ll also be working on that in the off-site training program too. It seems I didn’t have much experience with stairs in my former home, so I’ll need my new family to teach me how to go up and down them. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and slept well in it on my spend-the-night and in the off-site training program too. It is my safe space. I have growled if I don’t want to come out when other dogs are barking. / I’ve had a few accidents at Mostly Mutts, though not a lot, and my potty manners were good for the spend-the-night where they took me out regularly.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love cuddles, tasty treats, and spending time with my people. I enjoy playing and running around the play yard at Mostly Mutts, and I’ve shown an interest in toys, though I may still be learning how to play with them. One of my favorite places is relaxing in a comfy dog bed next to my person’s desk while they work, just happy to be close by. I also like riding in the car—so let’s ride! / Other than not liking other dogs at Mostly Mutts, not wanting folks by my food, and some leash sensitivity/reactiveness, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy gentle attention, cuddling & petting, & belly rubs. Spending time outside in the fenced yard with my people is a favorite of mine, & I really enjoy quietly exploring while keeping an eye on my surroundings & sniffing some flowers. Mealtime is always something I look forward to! I enjoy playing with toys & chasing a tennis ball! I enjoy hikes & walks. After a walk or hike with my foster, I sit patiently on the rug by the door for my foster to take off my leash before I go lie down. I enjoy going for car rides & I haven't been bothered by thunderstorms or walks in the rain & a shower is just fine with me. / Other than needing some gentle patience as I get to know people, I can't think of any dislikes, however like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, & training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped & neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet & consider a dental cleaning in the future. I take an over-the-counter probiotic daily for good digestion.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and I prefer the more mellow dogs. I also didn’t really care to play, but I didn’t show any aggression. If you have a nice, mellow dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, sweet, and gentle boy who loves to cuddle and be held. I was a little nervous when I first arrived, but my loving personality quickly began to shine. I did a great job during my bath and happily soaked up being held afterward. With a little teamwork, I’ll be in tip-top shape. / Energy level: 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a smart gentleman who knows the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, and ‘place’ commands and I bet you can teach me even more! And I’m sure that once I’m settled into my new home, we’ll discover many more things we’ll enjoy doing together. / I wasn’t a fan of getting my ears cleaned or nails trimmed during my bathtime and like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.

I’m looking for a wonderful family to love that will take great care of me and cherish me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I did well with the more mellow dogs I met in the off-site training program. In my foster home I get along with the older dog—I'm friendly and playful but politely give them space when needed. So if you have a nice doggie at home like this, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I've recently started a little food and toy guarding, so kids 15 and older would be best¬—let’s meet!

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training as there are more classes we can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. I guard my food and sometimes toys, so please give me some space with these things. Also, the trainers will be happy to go over the strategies that work with me, so we'll be set up for success. / I’m doing well in my crate. In my foster home when it's time to go to bed, I walk right in my crate and settle down for the night. I also don't mind a little crate time during the day when my foster needs to run a quick errand. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and in my foster home, I've had no accidents staying on their schedule.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy going for walks, playing with squeaky toys and tennis balls, and running around and exploring in a fenced back yard. Spending time with people and having fun are some of my favorite things. My foster says I’m a “great companion” and I'm sure once I'm settled into my new home, we'll discover many more activities we'll enjoy together! / When getting a bath, I'm a little sensitive when my ears are being cleaned. Other than the above-mentioned guarding, I can't think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived, and thankfully I've had that done, so my mouth is fresh again! I'm on an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin which is good for all older dogs.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I get along very well with the mellow older dog in my foster home. We follow each other around, and I’m very affectionate with him. I even try to get my 14-year-old buddy to play, though he usually just looks at me like I’ve lost my mind! I’m very caring with him, too. I check on him often, stay right by his side, and even accompany him up and down the stairs. I seem to understand that his older joints and lower back make stairs more difficult, so I like to be there for him—I think that’s the Mama in me. I also met a couple of dogs at Mostly Mutts before going into my foster home and though I wasn’t quite ready to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression. So, if you have a calmer-natured sweet dog at home already like me, let’s meet! / I am doing well with the kitty in my foster home and even allow her to rub her head on me. Of course, all cats are different, so I'm not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may accidentally bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was pretty shut down when I first arrived at the shelter, but I’ve gained trust and confidence in my foster home. I’m a gentle, sweet, calm, and elegant girl who likes to take a little time getting to know new people. I’ve made wonderful progress in my foster home and I now seek affection, follow my foster around the house, play with her, and am comfortable in my surroundings. I generally only bark if my foster leaves the house with the other dog and I am left behind. I would do best with a family that will give me a little time and patience to adjust to my new home and blossom like I have in my foster home. I am a flight risk, so please use caution around doors and gates and don't let me off leash. / Energy level: Now that I feel comfortable, my energy level has increased to 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I don’t seem to know any commands, but Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so we could do some training together. My foster has worked with me on being comfortable getting into and out of a car and now I’m doing well with this and I ride calmly. / I’ll go in my crate when needed, though I don’t choose to hang out in it. At nighttime I happily sleep on a doggie bed by my foster’s bed. / I have very good potty manners in my foster home and will quietly go to the door when I need to potty, so you do have to watch when I head that way as I don’t bark to alert you.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I absolutely love soft blankets and enjoy snuggling up in them whenever I can. I also seem to enjoy watching TV, especially the DogTV programs my foster puts on for me. Relaxing and sunbathing are also enjoyable. I’ve even started showing interest in stuffed toys and am beginning to discover how much fun they can be! / I’m not a fan of loud noises, though my foster is helping me gradually get used to things like vacuum and weed eater sounds. I also don’t like being rushed into new situations or relationships and prefer a little time to feel comfortable and build trust. And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet regarding a dental cleaning in the near future.

With a little patience, kindness and love, I look forward to being your wonderful companion! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

33. Rockette

Young · Female · Boxer / Bulldog / Mixed

A FRIENDLY & ACTIVE PAL: Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 36 lbs.

Hello, I'm Rockette! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I'm so happy to be part of the family! I've had lots of fun with the wonderful volunteers, and I was even selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training program, where I learned so much. I was adopted for a short time, but my young dog mouthiness was a bit much for them, so I'm looking for a dog-savvy home that enjoys training and helping young dogs grow into their best selves. I can't wait to find my perfect family and start my happily-ever-after!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked playing with them! So, if you have a dog at home already, let's meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / Kids 15+ would be the best fit for me since I am mouthy, so if you have kids that age or older—perhaps dog experienced, let's meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a friendly, playful, and very active girl with a sweet personality, and a great smile to match! I'm a lot of dog with plenty of energy, lots of love to give, and I'm always ready to be part of the fun. I'm a kiss-giver who looks to my people for direction and reassurance, making me a loving and attentive companion. I would do best with a dog-savvy family who can help me continue learning appropriate ways to channel my enthusiasm. Sometimes I see side-to-side movements, like mopping or leaf blowing, as an invitation to play and may get a bit mouthy—even if your back is turned—so I'll need guidance and redirection to help me make good choices. I also appreciate it when new friends let me approach as I just need a moment to warm up, and then my sweet, affectionate personality shines through. I have been on lots of daytrips/hikes with my favorite volunteers and I have gotten more comfortable seeing lots of people out and about. I even got to go on a fun sleepover with a nice volunteer and I enjoyed chewing on, dancing around with and throwing my bully bones in the air as well as some nice belly rub time on the couch. I'm ready for a family who enjoys an active, fun-loving companion and will help me continue to grow into the wonderful dog I'm meant to be! / Energy level: 6-8, so let's be active together.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I've learned the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. A favorite daytripper says that on hikes, I may pull a bit at first, but using "uh-uh" and stopping until I use loose leash to "walk" helps. Let's continue my training together, as there are more classes we can take with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I'm doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts, and I come out ready to go and have some fun—and a little excitedly mouthy! I would not want to spend a lot of time in a crate in my new home as I'm too active for that. / My potty habits have been good at Mostly Mutts and were good on the off-site training program schedule, too, and being crated in the evenings helps set me up for success so there are not overnight accidents. I slept in a gated room for my temp. foster sleepover and had no accidents overnight.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love going for walks, exploring on nature adventures with my people, splashing in streams, and running joyful zoomies in the play yard! I also enjoy car rides, playing with toys, getting ear scratches, and spending time with the nice volunteers. An active family that loves the outdoors and spending engaging time with me would be a good match! / Other than possibly not liking hats, I wouldn't be happy in a home that I didn't get enough active exercise and good leadership and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't ge
