Joy had a rough start, but in a calm, steady home she’s become pure love. She’s about 6, past the puppy chaos, and happiest soaking up attention from her people. She’s sweet, listens well, and follows directions.

Joy needs to be the only dog. She’s wary of strangers, so let her warm up to new people at her own pace. She does best with adults in a calm, consistent home. Kids’ running and noise may cause her to nip, so no young children.

Best fit: adults, a quiet routine, no other dogs (cats are fine).

Please ask the pet’s current caretaker directly about their return process, and request an adoption contract. While we can’t offer immediate intake for dogs that need to be returned, we’re always happy to help a family rehome a pet while they continue to care for it. Every match keeps a pet out of Georgia’s overcrowded shelters, where more than 30,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year.
