Lucky Bear found his forever home through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. Below are more dogs near Alpharetta still waiting for theirs.
Lucky Bear
Young (8 months) · Male · Golden Retriever / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Lucky Bear, the golden boy who throws his own squeaky toy, chases it like he invented the game, then climbs onto your shoulder and falls asleep with his face against yours. He walks very well on a harness and enjoys playing fetch.
Lucky Bear is a Golden Retriever mix, about 6–7 months old, and he loves in the most literal way: leaning his whole weight into you, pushing his face into your chest, and staying there. Play is his favorite language, especially anything that squeaks. He wants to be close, not just nearby. Birdsong and nature sounds on doggy TV calm him almost at once, and the same playlist at night puts him straight to sleep. He is curious about the outdoors and sensitive to sudden noise, and those familiar sounds are what settle him.
Lucky Bear is looking for a person who can be HIS person. He bonds hard once he feels safe, but he still does show some separation anxiety after that. He eats and drinks well as long as someone is in the room.
Lucky Bear can become exuberant at times and his excitement comes out in jumps and paws, so a home without small/younger children might be best. LB still has puppy energy (to be expected) when playing with other dogs, so he may be too much for older/senior dogs. But, he could be placed with a younger, active dog or he would also be happy as the one and only! In addition, LB is pretty much fully potty-trained. The only slips are a little excited pee when his feelings get too big.
If you have a single-family home and room for a high-energy, crate-trained puppy who plays hard and then claims your shoulder, Lucky Bear is already waiting to fall asleep there.
