Rocco

ROCCO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Rocco Best Guess for Breed: Black mouth cur mix

Best Guess for Age: 8 months as of November 2026 SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 29 pounds as of November 2026 - still has a little growing to do.

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster

Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.

Rocco is Looking For: My forever family! I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. But most of all I want to know I'm safe and loved, where I belong. I have so many kisses and so much love and loyalty to give in return. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you?
What My Foster Says About Me: Rocco is the sweetest pup with a gentle heart and an adventurous spirit! This lovable boy enjoys long walks, exploring new places, and discovering all the exciting things the world has to offer. He especially loves chasing squirrels, playing around, and enjoying a little adventure! When he’s not out exploring, Rocco is perfectly happy curling up for a cozy nap. He’s a sweet, quiet, and easygoing companion who enjoys both playtime and relaxation. Even better, he’s doing a fantastic job with potty training!
With his adorable face, loving personality, and curious nature, Rocco is sure to steal your heart. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, an adventure partner, or a sweet companion to relax with, Rocco could be the perfect addition to your family!
