Tony

TONY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Tony Best Guess for Breed: West Highland White Terrier Mix
Best Guess for Age: 2 yrs as of Oct 2026 SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 22 lbs

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Special adoption considerations: In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- Tony would do better with another dog in the home to give him confidence.

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

About Tony: Meet this sweet 2-year-old Westie mix! Rescue campus staff describe this adorable pup as a little shy at first, but very sweet once given the chance to settle in and feel comfortable.

With a little patience, reassurance, and love, this gentle pup is ready to come out of their shell and build a special bond with a family of their own. At just 2 years old, there’s still plenty of youthful energy for walks, playtime, and new adventures, balanced with lots of opportunities for snuggles and quiet time together.

If you’re looking for a kindhearted companion who just needs a little time to let their personality shine, this sweet Westie mix could be a wonderful match.

What the Shelter Staff Says About Me: Tony is a bit nervous around people and will need help learning to trust his human friends. We think he'd do better in a home that already has a confident resident dog.
What My Foster Says About Me: We'll update this when Tony has spent some time with his foster.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
