Hi my name is Stewart, I am very sweet boy who loves to chase balls and cuddle under blankets. I'm about 2 years old and I’m friendly with dogs, cats and birds. I get a little protective of people so I might do better with kids that are a little older and will understand that I need a minute. I don’t shed and have a really amazing Mohawk that matches my feet hair I absolutely love toys and to play fetch. I can jump really high, and over gates but I don’t chew on anything in the house.

Griffey is a happy 4 year old male English Bulldog mix. He is house trained, crate trained and is an easy dog to be around. He looks a little goofy but has a huge heart and just wants to hang out with his people. He is respectful and does not roam the house, jump on furniture or go places he knows he is not supposed to venture to. He loves his food and taking golf cart rides. He is good with other dogs and likes children. Griffey is smart and has learned several commands with his foster mom. He does have allergies that are typical of the bulldog breeds and is on special food for those. He is currently with a foster family and is looking for his forever home. MEET SULLY — OUR SWEET YOUNG CANE CORSO!
Meet Sully, a handsome black Cane Corso boy, approximately 8 months to 1 year old, with a heart of gold! ❤️
Sully and his sister were abandoned in the desert. Thankfully, HARTT was able to trap Sully and bring him to safety after someone took his sister home.
Despite his rough start, Sully is an incredibly sweet, social, dog-friendly, and people-loving boy who just wants to please and be loved!
He LOVES playgroup, especially chasing his buddies Diamond and Beauty around the yard. His favorite game is King of the Mountain, where he gets all his friends to chase him! And when playtime is over, he’s always ready for cuddles.
When Sully first arrived, he was terrified to go outside and wanted to run straight back to his kennel.

Zuri
Meet Zuri — From Abandoned in the Desert to Ready for a Family!
This sweet little fawn Cane Corso mix was abandoned by her owner in the desert, left to fend for herself with no food.
Thankfully, one of our amazing rescue volunteers was able to trap her and bring her safely to AZ Mastiff Rescue.
Zuri was skin and bones and literally pooping rocks from trying to survive. It was heartbreaking to see what this little girl had endured.
But look at her now! ❤️ She’s gaining weight, thriving, and showing us what an absolute sweetheart she is!
And we’ve discovered something wonderful about Zuri — she absolutely LOVES children! She’s also dog friendly and enjoys having four-legged friends.
Zuri is a petite little fawn Corso mix, definitely on the smaller side, which makes her even more adorable!
We would absolutely LOVE to find Zuri a family with children to love and spoil her.

MEET MEATBALL — YES, THE NAME FITS.

Meatball is exactly what you would expect from a dog named Meatball: big, goofy, handsome, slightly ridiculous, and completely lovable.

This sweet meathead is actually more of a calm, mellow guy. He isn’t looking to run a marathon or solve complicated problems. His goals in life are pretty simple:

Eat good snacks.
Hang out with his people.
Play with a pretty girl dog.
Take a nap.
Repeat.

Meatball loves female dogs and would be happiest in a home with a large-breed female buddy he can romp around with. We haven’t tested him with male dogs yet.

Mabel came into the shelter as a stray with no one to call her own. But instead of letting that change her, she quickly became a volunteer favorite because of her happy, playful, social personality.

This sweet 3-year-old girl has so much going for her.

MEET HAROLD — BIG PUMPKIN HEAD ALERT! ❤️

My name is Harold, and I’m a stunning 2-year-old English Mastiff with a giant pumpkin head and the personality to match.

I am pretty much the epitome of a lazy English Mastiff. My dream life? Give me a comfy couch, a soft bed, some good snacks, and my people nearby, and I’m one happy boy.

I’m people friendly and dog friendly, and I could live with kids over the age of 6. I’m a big, strong Mastiff boy, though, so little humans can easily get knocked over by my oversized self.

Now… we need to talk about my leash manners.

My name is Bruce, and I’m about 3 years old. I’m a pretty calm, mellow guy who is just looking for a family to call my own.

What breed am I? Well… that’s still up for debate!
Cane Corso? Boerboel? Mastiff? Bullsomething.... A little bit of everything?

Travis was found as a stray, doing his best to get by on his own — and now he's ready for someone to give him the home he's always deserved.

This handsome boy is as easygoing as he is gorgeous. He walks great on a leash, already follows basic commands, and has been good with every dog he's met so far. Even sweeter? He's been cute and gentle with kids too — a real testament to the good heart he's carried through everything he's been on his own.

Travis is proof that a dog can come from nothing and still show up ready to love. All he needs now is a family willing to give him the structure and consistency to keep thriving.

MEET MAXIMUS — CAN YOU SAY HUGE HUNK OF LOVE?! That pretty much describes Maximus perfectly! Maximus is approximately 3½–4 years old and one seriously BIG, handsome boy. He was a shelter favorite in California, but when no one came for him, he ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we were able to get him out at the last hour. Maximus is past all those crazy puppy antics and is a pretty cool, calm and mellow guy. Female-dog friendly Has not yet been tested with male dogs Not dog reactive Does pretty well on a leash Not a jumper Mellow and easygoing Learning that treats are actually pretty awesome! So far, cow ears and bully sticks have definitely won his approval.

Madea is about 4 years old and came to us from a shelter in Northern California, where she was extremely scared, undersocialized and overwhelmed by the shelter environment. We were already there pulling another dog when we saw her, and we just couldn’t stand the thought of her losing her life simply because there were too many dogs and not enough space. Once you give Madea a little time to warm up, you discover the sweetest, gentlest little girl. House trained Calm and quiet Nice house manners Not destructive Male AND female dog friendly Loves to cuddle Gentle, soft personality Sadly, Madea has spent about 4½ months in boarding simply because we didn’t have an open foster space for her.

Gwen is a beautiful Cane Corso with a sweet, soft temperament. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her loving personality really comes through. ❤️

Now Gilmore is with AZ Mastiff Rescue, living with his foster BFF and continuing his training through board & train. He’s smart, eager to please, loves car rides, and is especially obsessed with BALLS!
Despite everything he survived, Gilmore absolutely LOVES LIFE.

❤️ MEET TRAPPER — FROM TERRIFIED AND BROKEN TO READY FOR HOME ❤️
Trapper has been with AZ Mastiff Rescue for about a year and his transformation has been incredible.

When he came to us after being trapped in Rio Verde, he was skin and bones, terrified of people, and suffering from a dislocated hip. He wouldn’t allow anyone to touch him, so we spent weeks simply earning his trust before we could safely get him to the vet.

He eventually had hip surgery, healed beautifully, and has become an absolutely amazing Cane Corso.

Today, Trapper is about 2 years old, healthy, happy, and thriving. He is:

MEET MATER!
Mater is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso with the sweetest, most mellow personality. He has a wonderful middle-of-the-road temperament and is truly a gentle soul. ❤️
Mater is extremely dog friendly and is currently living with other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys canine companionship so much that we would love to see him placed in a home with another dog. In fact, this social butterfly once jumped the fence just so he could go play with the neighbor’s German Shepherd!

Mater’s story started in California, where he was abandoned and thankfully found by a Good Samaritan who made sure he was safe.

Meet Vader! This handsome 1year-old Cane Corso is exactly the kind of easygoing boy that makes a great first Corso. Vader lived in a home with several adults and multiple other dogs, and he did great with all of them — big dogs, small dogs, no drama, no stress. He's just along for the ride. Vader isn't a particularly driven or protective dog in the home, which makes him a wonderfully low-key presence for someone newer to the breed. He has no stranger danger and settles in easily — he even did well crate trained, though he can be a bit shy at first until he warms up. Vader's previous family made the tough decision to rehome him and a few of their other dogs after realizing they had taken on more than they could manage.

MEET MOLLY!

Molly is a sweet female Cane Corso with so much love to give! ❤️

She is dog friendly and does well with kids over 7 years old. Molly could happily go into a home with another dog, but she would also be perfectly content as your one-and-only girl, soaking up all the love and attention for herself!

Molly is incredibly affectionate and loves her people. She enjoys going for walks, rides great in the car, and she’ll even let you dress her up. She’s just an easy girl to love and would make a wonderful companion for the right family.

MEET ZARA!Zara is a gorgeous 2-year-old black female Cane Corso with a big personality and lots of love to give. ❤️This sweet girl was E-listed at Baldwin Park Shelter, and thankfully she made it out and into the care of AZ Mastiff Rescue.Zara is confident and definitely likes to be the leader of the pack. Because of her stronger Corso traits, she would do best with a submissive male dog or as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the attention. No cats or little dogs for her.She absolutely loves people and is socially appropriate, affectionate, and always happy to get pets and attention.

These two beautiful girls have already survived so much together. River and Flora were found trapped in the LA River channel for over 48 hours, struggling just to stay on their feet. By the time they were finally rescued, they were exhausted and could barely walk.
Long Beach Animal Shelter stepped up for these sweet girls, and AZ Mastiff Rescue went to bring them to safety.
Their cherry eye surgeries are now done, and River and Flora are ready for their forever home. These girls are truly bonded — they eat together, sleep together, play together, and love each other so much. They are like two peas in a pod.
Flora is about 5–6 years old, and River is about 1–2 years old.
They are house trained, have nice house manners, are dog friendly, and are quiet, calm, mellow couch potatoes.

Bam is a 15-month-old giant goofy puppy, born February 2025, and he is ready to find his forever home. He is up to date on vaccinations, house trained, crate trained, playful, affectionate, and very people-oriented.

Bam truly thinks he is a lap dog in a giant body. He loves cuddles, rubs, naps, and being close to his people. He can have fun high-energy spurts like a big toddler, but overall he is a sweet, silly, emotionally connected boy who just wants to be loved.

Hi. I'm King — and with a name like that, you already know I'm kind of a big deal. Mostly the "big" part. I'm a large, handsome Dogue de Bordeaux mix with a beautiful light apricot coat, a magnificent oversized head, and the kind of presence that fills a whole room (and probably a whole couch).

But here's the secret about big, regal-looking boys like me: underneath all the grandeur, I'm a total softie. I've got a heart as enormous as the rest of me, and all I really want is to be loved and to love you right back. Royalty, it turns out, just wants belly rubs and good company like everybody else.

Preston is a happy-go-lucky boy who is about 2 years old and ready to find the right forever home. He is kennel trained, enjoys a good bone, and loves playing in play pools .

Preston does best with submissive female dogs only and would not be a good match for dominant dogs. He could also be happy as the only dog in the home with the right family. Because of his size and personality, older kids are best, if any .

Preston is looking for a home that understands him, gives him structure, and lets him settle in at his own pace.

Diamond is the beautiful momma of our recently placed Gem Litter, and now it is her turn to shine.

Diamond’s story was not an easy one. She was protective of her babies in the shelter, and because of that, she and her puppies almost paid the price. It was a struggle to get her and her babies safely out, but Diamond proved she was worth every bit of the fight.

Now that her babies have found their homes, Diamond is ready for her next chapter. She is dog friendly and is currently housed with another female Cane Corso named Annie. She loves everyone she meets and has such a sweet, loving personality.

Meet Bowser

This sweet, handsome boy came to us all the way from Illinois after being abandoned in a basement with a cat, a rabbit, and a female dog named Luna. By pure luck, we had volunteers close enough to help, and Bowser and Luna were able to make their way safely to Arizona.

Bowser came in covered in fleas, but even after everything he had been through, he was still so happy to be saved and so grateful to have people around him. He is truly a giant puppy with a sweet, loving soul.

Captain Hook came to us from a shelter in Northern California, in Martinez, where he found himself on the euthanasia list for no reason other than being a big dog.

This sweet boy is crate trained, fully house trained, and dog friendly. He's very trainable, already knows basic commands and currently working on his leash skills.
