1. Freddy K
Adult · Male · Siberian Husky (medium coat) · 18 mi from Parker

Welcome to primetime! It's me, Freddy Kreuger. I'm no terrifying dream villain, though many have called me "dreamy." My beautiful wooly coat will require some extra brushing, but it's sure to be a showstopper everywhere I go. I'm playful, friendly, and sociable... except to kitties and other small furry beasties. I mean, I guy has his murderous proclivities after all, am I right? If you're looking for fluffy and handsome with a killer smile, then put in an application and tell them to send Freddy Kreuger after you!

2. Elvira
Adult · Female · Siberian Husky (medium coat) · 18 mi from Parker

Oh, hello! I'm Elvira. I get startled sometimes. Please excuse me. Oh, you want to cuddle? Great!
I'm located in Colorado and just getting settled into my foster home. I have already shown I walk well on a leash and love the fellow dog in the home with me!
I'm not a HUGE fan of crates BUT do remarkably well in the house when left out and about! According to the dog camera, I just play with my dog friend here and didn't get into ANY trouble. Nope. Not me!
I met some kids the other day and did great. I was quite comfortable and friendly around the elementary children I saw. I'm pretty comfortable with women but a little hesitant around men. That being said, I am very cuddly and like nothing more than to share the couch or bed with you at night.
Ready to meet a potty trained, lovely little lady? Great! Apply to meet Elvira!

Asher #4 | 2-year-old Heeler mix | Your adventure-loving best friend
Read more about Asher
Meet Asher, a 35-pound bundle of sweetness with kind eyes and a heart full of love! This handsome grey-and-white boy may start out a little shy and skittish, especially around men, but give him a few minutes and he warms up quickly. Once he feels comfortable, he’s all about being near his people, cuddling on the couch, and asking for affection by resting his head on you, offering you his paw, or rolling over for belly rubs. He even has an adorable little prance that’s sure to make you smile!
Asher is a playful, energetic boy who thrives when he has plenty of activity and opportunities to explore. He loves playing fetch, going for walks, and spending time with his favorite humans. A quick stroll around the block won't cut it for this guy! He’ll be happiest with an active family who enjoys long walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and daily play sessions. With plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, he can settle nicely at home, but an active lifestyle is where he truly shines. If he needs a little help entertaining himself, a tasty chew bone or favorite chew toy does the trick, giving him a fun and appropriate outlet for his energy.
Asher is friendly with dogs of all sizes and would love a canine companion to play with, though he has a submissive, gentle approach to making friends. He’s also fantastic with children, both young and older, making him a lovely candidate for an active family home. He hasn’t met cats yet, so his compatibility with feline friends is unknown.
This good boy is doing great with his house manners and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home. When he needs to go outside, he’ll whine or stand by the door to let you know. He also does beautifully when left home alone for a few hours, without a crate, and has shown no signs of separation anxiety. He sleeps well through the night, knows how to sit, and is working on improving his leash skills and learning not to pull.
Asher is looking for a loving, active home that will give him the exercise, engagement, and companionship he needs to thrive. In return, you'll get a sweet, affectionate, playful sidekick who's ready to join you on life's adventures and then snuggle up with you after a busy day. And if you happen to have Greenies or baby carrots, you may just become his favorite person ever!
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.

4. Gidget
Young (8 months) · Female · Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Parker

Perfect Home Needed for this sweet little girl!
At just 9 months old, Gidget has already had quite the journey. She found herself on death row in an overcrowded Alabama shelter. She was scared, sweet, and running out of time. Rescue partners saw something special in her and saved her life, even though they didn't have room for one more dog.
And we're so glad they did. But here's the part that breaks our hearts a little. In rescue in Alabama, Gidget didn't have a single adopter interested in her.
Enter EAPL. We brought her here to Colorado because we KNEW we could find this angel a perfect home. That's where you come in.
Read more about Gidget
Gidget is a 35-pound, mahogany-colored beauty with a gentle soul and a funny little secret: She thinks she's a lap dog. All 35 pounds of her. Personal space? Never heard of it.
She's affectionate, loves walks, happily accepts grooming and treats, and gets excited about meeting new people and dogs. She's also a playful puppy who believes squeaky toys are one of life's greatest inventions.
Gidget is still learning what it means to live inside a home. She's working on her house manners and needs someone patient enough to teach her. In return, she'll bring plenty of love, laughter, and probably a squeaky toy or twelve.
Could Gidget be your girl?
Her dream home would have an active, loving family, a fenced yard, plenty of attention, and maybe a canine sibling or two. Cats are still a mystery, but we can test her! She's spayed, vaccinated, and ready for her next chapter.
Gidget's life was saved in Alabama. Now she needs someone to give her a life worth living.
Apply to adopt Gidget at EAPL.com. Her adoption fee is $375

Read more about Ky
Ky is an energetic 3-5 year old miniature schnauzer who loves running around the yard, playing with toys, and is very food motivated. He’s seeking a new home as his current canine sibling and him are not a perfect match.
Things Ky needs:
An only dog home OR a home with an easygoing dog who does not get jealous. Ky is very territorial of his people in true mini schnauzer fashion.
A patient parent (preferably one who has mini schnauzer experience) who can handle my big expressions and backtalk.
A family with no kids or kids above the age of 10.
Things that would make Ky happy:
A yard to run off his energy
An active walker parent
A parent who is home often
Things important for you to know before reaching out about adopting Ky:
He is very vocal. The drive-through is a no for him. People walking on the other side of the street is also a challenge. He likes his personal space when not in his home. A single family home would be ideal due to his likelihood to alert.
What you get:
A perfect little man that likes to cuddle.
A great dance partner.
The best alarm system you will ever invest in.
Up to date on all vaccines, recently his teeth were cleaned, including some extractions, so he’s in tip-top shape. He does still spray although he’s neutered, so close attention on him is needed to help with accidents.
A rehoming fee of $100 will be collected and food, toys, and a collar will be provided for you!

Sugar #7| 1-year-old Yellow Lab mix | A big bundle of love with a serious case of the zoomies
Read more about Sugar
Sugar is a 40-pound Yellow Lab mix with a huge heart, endless energy, and SO much love to give! This sweet, playful girl loves everyone she meets and is always ready to share kisses, snuggles, and plenty of happy tail wags. She loves playing fetch, going for walks, romping around the yard, and making friends with other dogs. When playtime is over, she’s happy to soak up affection, curl up nearby, and enjoy some well-earned rest. Kongs, puzzle toys, and anything crunchy are also big hits with this fun-loving girl!
Sugar is still learning her manners and working on housetraining, but she’s eager to please and responds well to praise and gentle, consistent guidance. She’s learning not to jump on people, play-bite, or turn shoes, clothes, and plants into chew toys. She’s comfortable in her crate and can stay home alone for a few hours, though she may bark or whine before settling in. As a high-energy pup, Sugar needs plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and supervision to help her make good choices. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, especially since she loves to chase squirrels and play fetch!
Sugar gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful canine companion who can keep up with her enthusiasm. She can be a little vocal when meeting new dogs, but she settles in with proper introductions. She hasn’t met cats or children yet, and because she’s energetic and still learning her manners, older kids who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs may be the best fit.
If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate adventure buddy who will keep you smiling with her goofy antics, shower you with kisses, and remind you every day how much you’re loved, Sugar could be your girl! She has so much potential and a heart of gold—she just needs a family ready to help her grow into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be.

Jessie #3 | 3-year-old Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix | Born to Move, Built to Cuddle
Read more about Jessie
Jessie is a 27-pound sweetheart with a BIG personality and an even bigger supply of energy! This handsome Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix is friendly, playful, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure. He loves people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is just as happy soaking up attention on the couch as he is heading out for a walk.
Let's be clear: Jessie is a HIGH-energy dog who needs an active home committed to meeting his physical and mental needs. Long walks, hikes, running, interactive play, and enrichment activities will be important parts of his daily routine. His foster took him on a seven-mile hike, and he still had energy to spare! A quick stroll around the block won't cut it for this guy. He needs a family that genuinely enjoys an active lifestyle and will give him plenty of appropriate outlets for all that energy.
The good news is that Jessie can settle down nicely at home once he's had the activity he needs. He loves snuggling with his people and relaxing alongside his foster's dog. He's also doing well with house training and crate training, sleeps through the night, and can stay home alone for three to four hours.
Jessie is social with other dogs and has shown friendly curiosity toward cats, backing off when they set boundaries. He knows sit and down, is highly motivated by treats, and enjoys toys, especially rope toys and squeaky stuffed animals. He's still working on his leash manners and greeting skills, as his excitement can lead to pulling and jumping up on people. Continued training, consistency, and mental stimulation will be essential to help him thrive.
Jessie is looking for an active home that understands his energy level and is ready to make exercise, enrichment, and training a priority. In return, you'll get a loving, playful companion who's always up for doing things together and happy to finish the day with some quality cuddle time. If you're looking for a couch potato, Jessie probably isn't your guy. But if you're searching for an energetic adventure partner with a heart of gold, he might be exactly who you've been waiting for!

8. Left Eye
Adult (8 years 7 months) · Female · German Shepherd Dog / Great Pyrenees / Mixed · 14 mi from Parker

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Left Eye finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).
Left Eye | 8-Year-Old Collie/Shepherd Mix | Sweet, Gentle Companion
Left Eye is an 8-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix weighing about 29 pounds, with a beautiful black-and-white coat and a calm, gentle personality. She loves a peaceful lifestyle, cozy naps, and having her person nearby.
Read more about Left Eye
She’s house trained and easygoing at home, happy to curl up in her bed most of the day. She enjoys short walks around the block but prefers heading home to her favorite resting spot rather than going on long adventures.
Left Eye seems to do reasonably well around other dogs initially, but over time, she becomes increasingly submissive and timid. She may be happiest as the only pet, where she can relax and enjoy all the love and attention. She has shown a tendency to chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
She can be shy when meeting new people, especially men, and will need a patient person who gives her time to feel comfortable and build trust. She is definitely more at ease with women so a single female adopter is the ideal, although the most important thing is finding someone who understands her gentle, sensitive nature. Once she feels safe, she enjoys affection, belly rubs, and quiet time with her person. She also loves soft squeaky toys and often carries them around the house and takes them to bed.
Left Eye experiences separation anxiety and may howl when left alone, so she needs a house rather than an apartment. She would do best with someone who is home most of the time and can provide a calm, predictable environment.
Left Eye has ongoing medical needs following the removal of cancerous tumors and currently takes chemotherapy medication, which she will need for at least a year. Regular veterinary checkups are important to monitor her progress.
ARR will cover her chemotherapy medications for six months following adoption and sponsor her adoption fee.
Left Eye is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who can offer a quiet home, plenty of companionship, and time to help her build confidence. A woman in a single-person household, with Left Eye as her only pet, may be her ideal match. In return, this sweet girl will offer gentle companionship and lots of love once she knows she's safe.

Brownie #11 | 1-year-old Aussie mix | Sweet, Smart, and Ready to Cuddle!
Read more about Brownie
Brownie is a beautiful 40-pound Aussie mix with a sweet personality and a big heart, especially when it comes to women! She’s incredibly affectionate, loves cuddling, and will happily rest her head on you, offer you a paw for pets, or roll over for belly rubs. She’s also a smart girl who knows several commands and is very motivated by treats. Brownie enjoys walks, fetch, toys, and even 1–2 mile jogs, but she’s just as happy to settle down and relax with her people afterward.
Brownie is super playful and absolutely loves having a dog friend! She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is non-reactive on walks, and does great with cats and children. She would especially thrive with another confident dog who can be a fun playmate and help her feel more secure. Brownie is, however, very fearful of men, particularly those with deeper voices or larger builds. She may bark or try to move away, so she’ll do best in a female-only home where she can feel safe and build confidence at her own pace. If male visitors come over, she does better when they ignore her and give her space rather than trying to interact. With patience and understanding, Brownie has so much love to give!
She’s doing well with housetraining and can stay home alone for a few hours, although she may whine or bark initially. Crating is still a work in progress, and she can be a bit of a counter surfer when food is within reach, so keeping snacks out of reach is a must! Brownie is still gaining weight and growing her fur back, but she’s making progress every day.
This sweet, clever, playful girl is ready to find a loving home where she can feel secure, enjoy adventures, have a confident canine buddy to play with, and soak up all the affection she deserves.

11. Otis
Adult (3 years 11 months) · Male · Hound / Mixed (short coat) · 14 mi from Parker

This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post.
For more information, please contact mikliese@hotmail.com
Bio and Personality:
Read more about Otis
Otis is a 4 year old, 50lbs, hound mix. He loves to run and play, almost as much as he loves to sleep and snuggle. He happily joins long runs and long naps. He can play catch and is famous for leaping and twirling in the air to hit his mark. Otis is a smart, loving, playful lifetime companion. He is so deserving of a forever home where can show his people how much he loves them. Otis is at his best when he can get in two good walks a day plus some play time. In between, you can usually find him curled up on the coziest surface of the house, including under your covers. Otis would do best in a home with older kids and a yard to play in.
Training/Behavioral and Medical:
Otis is trained in all basic commands and walks well with a gentle lead. He's crate-trained and we've been working on barking, but he is very smart and picks up things very quickly. Otis is a neutered, up-to-date on vaccines including heartworm, and microchipped. He has no medical conditions or special dietary needs. He does love to eat fruits and veggies with his kibble!
Otis was rescued from downtown Chicago at about 4 years old. He shows signs that he endured a lot before he was rescued, but is very eager to overcome his past. For example, he is sometimes reactive around bikes if they surprise him and is fearful of smoke. That said, he had a bite incident a few months ago when he was overstimulated. His owner recounted that the one and only isolated incident occurred when he was on leash in a narrow walkway and a bike was swiftly coming up behind him. This made him nervous and his owner did not read the situation. Then, a woman approached from the front and tried to pet him. He snapped at her with just a single bite. Happy to share details with anyone interested in this sweet boy, who absolutely deserves another chance. He needs to be thoughtfully introduced to other dogs, and has become pals with them all. He has previously lived with a senior cat that he liked to groom. He's always been incredibly gentle and patient with kids. He is currently fostered with 2 other dogs who he loves to play with (one big and one small), and children. Otis is such a good, gentle, loving, playful boy who really needs to land in his forever home.

12. Hermes
Adult · Male · Siberian Husky (medium coat) · 18 mi from Parker

Rejoice! Hermes, Greek Messenger to the Dogs is here! I didn't even have to use my amazing winged dog sandals - I arrived in Colorado on an airplane that brought me to rescue!
I have plenty of energy and I love to play. I act my age (two) and may even be a little younger. I like to stay busy and I'm pretty good at entertaining myself. Everything goes in my mouth, but I haven't destoyed anything except maybe blanket fringe. (Blanket fringe is a threat to my existence and I must attempt to destroy.) I am excellent in the crate overnight and when the humans leave the house. Getting sprayed with water while counter surfing is a fantastic game!
I'm very good at meeting other dogs while on leash.
Read more about Hermes
I quickly hit it off with the other dogs in my foster home, from the king of the castle to the little puppy. I'm learning that I don't need to resource guard random things. It helps when the other dogs ignore me because that makes it no fun at all.
I'm a 65 pound lap husky who will accept all the attention you can give me! I'm the dog who will be by right there by your side no matter what you're doing. I'm happy to join in work video calls by climbing into your lap if I'm not getting enough attention. I helped my foster mom put together a shelf by hanging my head over her shoulder and forcing myself into her lap. After a snuggle I just slept curled up next to her. I can help you pick up kids at school. You will need to book some extra time because I will attract a crowd! I recently attended a long outdoor event where I was petted and/or hugged by approximately 476 people and loved every minute of it. I became BFFs with a toddler who wouldn't leave my side and was so well behaved that someone thought I was a service dog. One guy came back to find me afterwards to get "just one more lean" from me.
If adding a playful bundle of love to your home is on your to-do list, fill out an application and mention Hermes!

Panic! at the Disco | 2–3-year-old Chi/Rat Terrier mix | Your little Disco Boy
Read more about Panic at the Disco
Affectionately called “Disco Boy” or “Little Man” by his foster family, Panic! at the Disco is an 8-pound Chi/Rat Terrier mix who is a sweet combination of playful, cuddly, shy, and just a little bit quirky. He loves toys, snuggling under the covers, and being close to his people. He also has an adorable little mouth-play routine that will make you smile. Disco came to us from Denver Animal Shelter as an owner surrender and was extremely skinny when he arrived, weighing less than 7 pounds. He has done wonderfully since then and is now at a healthy weight.
Disco is definitely a Man's Man! He seems to feel most comfortable around men and takes considerably longer to warm up to women. His ideal home would be one with a man or multiple men, or a man and a very patient woman who understands that earning his trust will take time. He's nervous around strangers and needs people who will respect his boundaries, let him approach on his own terms, and avoid rushing the relationship. Once he trusts you, though, he's a loving little guy who enjoys affection and attention.
Disco does well with other small and same-size dogs and would really enjoy having a little canine friend to play with. However, he'll need time to warm up to a resident dog, too, so introductions and building that relationship will need to happen at his pace. He's also completely uninterested in the resident cat. A home without children is best for Disco, where he can enjoy a calm environment and build relationships at his own pace.
Disco is a medium-energy guy who is happy with some casual activity and then ready to settle down on the couch. He loves running around the yard and has learned to like going on walks. He can be a little nervous when having his harness put on or taken off, so his adopter will need to be patient and respectful of his boundaries.
House training is still a work in progress, but Disco is getting better every day! His new family will need to be patient and consistent as he continues learning. He has been left loose in the house for 5–6 hours and has done well.. He isn't currently kennel trained because his foster family doesn't use a kennel. Disco is very food motivated—understandably so, given how skinny he was when he arrived—and he is still learning to take treats politely. He doesn't know any formal commands yet, but he's making progress with structure and boundaries.
Most importantly, Disco needs an adopter who understands that earning his trust will be a process. The third "3" of the 3-3-3 rule is especially important for this little guy. While every dog adjusts at their own pace, the first three months are often when a rescue dog begins to feel truly secure and develop a deep bond with their new family. Disco may need that full time (and possibly more!) before he feels completely comfortable. His adopter must be willing to give him the patience, consistency, and space he needs without expecting him to become an instant best friend.
Disco's ideal home would have a man or men (or a man and a very patient woman), preferably another small dog to keep him company, no children, and someone who understands that good things take time. He doesn't need a marathon runner, just a loving person willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Once you're part of his trusted circle, you'll have a playful, cuddly little companion who loves nothing more than being close to his people—and sharing the covers!
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents

Meet Sally
Read more about Sally
Hi, I'm Sally! I'm a ~6-year-old golden lab mix (about 55 lbs), and after five wonderful years with my family, I'm looking for my forever home. I'm intelligent, playful, and deeply affectionate — a world-class snuggler who wants to be near my people, wrapped in a blanket on the couch. But I'm just as happy on a long hike, chasing a tennis ball, or splashing through a stream. I'm house- and crate-trained, calm on walks, off-leash recall trained, and I settle happily on my own without chewing or destroying anything when left home alone.
Quick facts:
Age: ~6 years (rescue's estimate)
Breed: Golden lab mix
Weight: 55 lbs
Energy: Medium
Training: House-, crate-, e-collar, and off-leash recall trained
Health: Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped; no known health concerns
Location: Denver, CO
The home where I'll thrive:
I'm a loving but sensitive girl, and I do my best in a calm, predictable home with someone patient who appreciates my adventurous-yet-tentative personality.
Adults-only (no children under 12). Fast, unpredictable young-kid energy overwhelms me.
Only pet. I've been a happy daycare and boarding camper, but I can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs in my own space — I'd love to be your one and only, with all the attention to myself.
Room to move. I love a backyard plus daily walks, though I've done well in an apartment with enough exercise.
Being fully honest, because the right match matters:
I'm being rehomed for one reason. My family welcomed a baby, and as he's become mobile I've grown anxious around him — recently, I snapped at him. My family isn't willing to risk it, and honestly, neither am I. It's not who I want to be; I'm simply overwhelmed by unpredictable toddler energy. In a calm, adults-only home, I'm the sweet, loyal, joyful dog my family has loved for years. I came from a shelter once before, and we're all hoping this next home is my last, best chapter.
I come with:
Up-to-date vet records and full vaccination history
Microchip, with registration transferred to you
My hard crate and bed, soft travel crate, favorite toys, e-collar and leashes, and current food
A written rundown of my routine, commands, and quirks for a smooth first day
Sally’s adoption fee is $375, which will be donated to a local animal shelter. Please contact sallynewhome2026@gmail.com for additional information.

15. Spinner
Adult (6 years) · Male · Poodle (unknown type) / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) · 24 mi from Parker

Meet Spinner (and no, we don't get the name either)
Surrendered to the shelter with this name already attached, and we have SO many questions. Does he spin? No. Chase his tail like a top? No. Turn the yard into a racetrack? Also no. Somebody, please explain yourselves.
Here's what we DO know: Spinner is a whopping 75+ lb of pure love, 6 years old, neutered, and handsome as all get out. He's billed as a doodle-ish mix, but give this guy a haircut and he could pass for a mini Irish Wolfhound.
Read more about Spinner
The Spinner Rundown:
Loves car rides
Totally fine home alone while you run errands
Comes to the gym with his foster and just... vibes, soaking up all the attention
Cat-approved — the foster home's resident cat is his ride-or-die bestie
The catch: Spinner does best as an only dog. He's picky about his fellow woof-woofs — didn't love sharing space with the foster home's two very submissive dogs (one a 100+ lb actual Irish Wolfhound, the other a Great Pyr/Lab mix). But give him a human, a car, and maybe a cat? He's set.
Is Spinner your dog?

Chris #1 | 5-year-old Chihuahua mix | Your tiny, sweet shadow
Read more about Chris
Chris is a tiny 5.5-pound Chihuahua mix with a huge personality and an even bigger love for his people. He is a sweet, affectionate little guy who loves being held, snuggled, and covered up like the tiny king he believes he is. He can be nervous and easily startled, especially around new people, but once he has a few minutes to warm up, his sweet personality comes shining through.
Chris is still working on leash skills and can bark at people, dogs, and things like wheeled objects that catch him off guard. He is improving with practice and enjoys short walks, but he would benefit from a patient person who can continue helping him build confidence. He does well with the dogs in his foster home, including both larger and smaller dogs, although he can be vocal when meeting dogs on leash. He absolutely cannot live with cats, as he will chase them and try to attack them.
Chris is still figuring out his potty routine, especially since he was sick when he first arrived. He is doing much better now that he feels better and seems to do well when given regular potty breaks. He may need a nighttime potty break and currently wears a belly band to help prevent marking or accidents. Like any dog adjusting to a new environment, accidents can happen while he settles into a new routine.
Chris's biggest challenge is being left alone. He does eventually settle when crated, but he can bark, whine, cry, and thrash around when first left. For this reason, he would do best with someone who is home much of the time or can take him along for the day. He is a low-to-medium energy guy who enjoys short walks but is happiest snuggled up with his person. He loves treats, squeaky toys, bones, car rides, and plenty of affection.
Chris would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a tiny sidekick who wants to be part of everything. He could be an only dog with plenty of human companionship or potentially enjoy having a confident, playful dog friend. He needs a cat-free home and would likely do best with older, calm children who understand that he can be easily startled. Give this little guy some patience, love, and time to feel secure, and you'll have a devoted little shadow who is very happy to be wherever you are.
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. 17. Olympus
Adult · Male · Siberian Husky (medium coat) · 18 mi from Parker

Hi! My name is Olympus (aka Ollie) and I have conquered the highest mountain! When I came to rescue I was uncomfortably itchy and had lost a lot of my beautiful fur. I was still a sweet and loving boy though! After lots of tests, supplements, medicated baths, and diet changes we discovered my skin condition was likely caused by hypothyroidism. Once I started thyroid meds my energy levels increased, I stopped itching, and my scaly skin turned into peach fuzz. Now my face and paws have filled in and the rest of my body is getting new fur!
Now that my body is healing and I feel good, my foster family has learned so much about me! First of all, I'm calm, sweet, gentle and quiet.
Read more about Olympus
I LOVE people, attention, and cuddles. I'm not overly needy though, I mostly hang out curled up on the couch. I'm a little shy when I first meet people out in public, but I warm up quickly. I am very gentle and tolerant with kids, even when they're super snuggly and huggy!
I'm a great eater, even with my prescription diet.
I do amazing in my crate and have also done well free roaming when my people are gone. I will wait by the door for a minute or two after you leave, but then go back to my comfy couch. I have had no accidents in the house. I'm non-destructive if you keep your things picked up (I may have taken the opportunity to nibble a glove and a pair of sunglasses once - oops!)
Overall I'm low to medium energy. I can go for a 2-3 mile hike, but I don't need a ton of exercise. I do great on car rides and walk well on a leash!
I enjoy meeting calm dogs, but I don't appreciate overly playful dogs who get in my face. I wouldn't mind another calm dog sibling who gives me space. I could also live very happily as an only dog getting all the attention and snuggles for myself! I'm very interested in bunnies and the neighbor's cat, so I should probably have a home without small animals.
If you're willing to share your couch with me, fill out an application and mention Olympus!

18. Betty
Adult (2 years 9 months) · Female · Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) · 24 mi from Parker

An open seat in your car and a little patience? You might be Betty’s person.
Betty is a 3-year-old Lab/Pittie mix with floppy ears, soft brown eyes, and a love of going places with her people. Scenic drives, a little off-road exploring, or a quick trip for a pup cup—she’s happy to come along. Daily walks are another favorite, so bring your walking shoes.
Betty takes time to feel comfortable with new people. Slow introductions and a patient approach help her build trust. Sudden movements can startle her, so she’s looking for a home with adults or teenagers who can respect her pace.

She can enjoy other dogs, too, especially those who give her space and don’t rush to greet her. Thoughtful introductions will help determine a good match.
If you enjoy walks, car rides, and giving a dog time to settle in, Betty could be a wonderful companion.

19. Ranger
Adult · Male · Siberian Husky (medium coat) · 18 mi from Parker

Hi I'm Ranger! Welcome to Camp Husky! I enjoy the great outdoors and spending time in the backyard. Sometimes the humans have to bring me inside at night or I'd be happy to sleep under the stars! I know how to use a doggy door to go in and out and I haven't had any accidents in the house.
I am super shy right now, but I have a quiet curiosity and fondness for people who spend time with me. I'm slowly opening up to my foster family. I've been quite stoic, but I do love food and lately I've started to get very excited when I know it's time to eat! I have a calm energy and I'm very tolerant of other dogs, but so far I don't interact with them much.

When I was in the shelter I was paired with an even shyer dog who became more confident by spending time with me.

Percy #2 | 10-month-old Black Mouth Cur mix | Your future snuggle buddy in training
Read more about Percy
Percy is a 10-month-old Black Mouth Cur mix, currently around 45 pounds and expected to reach 60–70 pounds. He’s a sweet, playful pup who has made great progress since arriving in his foster home. He’s still learning about the world, but once he trusts you, he turns into the ultimate velcro dog. Expect lots of cuddles, a head resting on your lap, and a furry shadow who would very much like to share your bed!
The world can be a pretty scary place for this sweet boy. New people, loud noises, and unfamiliar situations make him nervous, and it breaks our hearts because we don’t know what he may have experienced in his short life to make him so afraid. He needs patient, kind people who will give him time to feel safe and let him come around at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet, affectionate personality really shines.
Percy does wonderfully with his foster family’s cat and loves to play with him! He also respects the older resident dog, who has helped teach him good doggy manners. He’d love a friendly, playful canine buddy of his own to romp with. Percy also spent a week with a family with two children, ages 9 and 11, and did great! He had no accidents during his stay, enjoyed the fenced yard, and even warmed up enough to let the daughter pet him by the end of the week. He’d do best with gentle kids who give him the time and space to approach them on his own.
Percy is still very much a puppy and is working on housetraining, manners, and learning what is and isn’t a chew toy. He is crate trained and can stay alone for a few hours, although he may fuss when left and needs continued practice building independence. He’ll thrive with a patient adopter who can provide structure, supervision, and positive training.
Percy would love a home with a fenced yard and a friendly canine buddy. An adopter with experience helping shy dogs—or a willingness to work with a qualified trainer—would be ideal.
Percy may need a little time to show you his heart, but once you're his person, you'll have a devoted, affectionate companion who will reward your patience with a whole lot of love. If you have a little extra room in your heart for a sweet boy who just needs help learning that the world isn't so scary, Percy could be your perfect match!

Keanu #3 | 3 year old German Shepherd mix | Your future adventure buddy
Read more about Keanu
Keanu is a 60-pound bundle of enthusiasm with a heart as big as his energy level. This handsome German Shepherd mix has never met a stranger—human or canine—and is happiest when he's playing, exploring, or simply being part of whatever you're doing. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick for hikes, long walks, fetch sessions, or trips to the water, Keanu is ready to sign up!
Keanu absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion who can match his energy. Tug-of-war is one of his favorite games, and he could happily play all day. He's also a huge fan of toys, chewing bones, swimming, splashing in creeks, and pretty much any activity that keeps him moving. Even after two daily walks, fetch in the yard, and wrestling with his dog friends, he's often still ready for more fun.
He's doing wonderfully with crate training and happily relaxes there while his people are away, especially with another dog in the home. He's nearly house trained and is making great progress. Keanu already knows sit, stay, and wait, though he's still polishing those skills. Food is a great motivator for him, but his excitement can sometimes get the better of his focus.
Like many young dogs, Keanu is still learning his manners. He can jump on people, counter surf, play bite, and forget about personal space when he's excited. He also gets very distracted by rabbits on walks and is working on learning "leave it." With consistent training, structure, and positive reinforcement, he's already showing progress and has all the potential to become an incredible companion.
Keanu's ideal home is an active one with another energetic dog, people who enjoy outdoor adventures, and a family committed to continuing his training. He may not have had much structure before coming into rescue, but he's eager to learn and has all the ingredients to become a devoted, lifelong best friend. If you're ready to invest a little time and a lot of love, Keanu will reward you with endless affection, laughter, and unwavering loyalty.

22. Panda
Adult (15 years 4 months) · Female · Shih Tzu (medium coat) · 24 mi from Parker

PRANCING PANDA
This adorable little senior furball only wants two things: 1) to lay by your feet, and 2) to PRANCE across a grassy field!
When Panda arrived, we thought she was just a frail, blind Shih Tzu. But with a healthy diet, lots of love, and daily walks, she's rediscovered her joy — and gets more tail-waggy every day. Panda is mostly blind and mostly deaf, but that doesn't stop her from staying glued to your side and happily trotting along in the yard or on walks.
Read more about Panda
She's housebroken, quiet, docile, a great eater, and an even better sleeper (through the night, every night!). She's also a surprisingly fantastic leash walker. Panda is indifferent to other dogs and cats and isn't much of a player — though that could change with time and patience.
Panda would thrive in a home looking for a chill cuddle buddy with yard or park access. She's not a match for an active household with young kids, and she needs daily eye drops for glaucoma. She may whine in her crate at first, but with a little crate training, she settles in and sleeps soundly on her own.
If you want the joy of earning love by giving love, Panda is the galloping gal for you.

Why adopt an adult dog in Parker
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.
