Dogs for Adoption in Buckhead, GA: 12 Dogs Looking for a Home

Big Booty Judy!! She is about 5-6 yrs old and weighs 42lbs! She is ON A DIET! She loves everyone and gets along with all dogs. She has yet to meet a cat but I believe she will be fine.

Acorn is about a year old and weighs 10lbs. We tgink he is mixed with a jack Russell or chihuahua. He is super sweet and loves everyone! He gets along with all small to medium sized dogs but is scared of big dogs.

All hail Sir Charles III! Being Australian royalty, his new decree is that he requires a certain type of attention. This attention is basically knowing what he wants, before he wants it. That means that humans are at his beck and call especially around dinner time. He requires a private dining experience because he guards what is precious to him (this includes toys, food or food bags, and anything else he deems royally important). He doesn’t think twice about who his playmates are, whether they be royal subjects or peasants, he plays with them all, big and small. While Sir Charles weighs in on the scales at a mere 12 pounds, his attitude weighs in like that of a great white shark Though unlike a great white, he doesn’t want to devour everyone in his path, for he is still a young pup and learning how to be a proper royal. Sir Charles is available to be adopted to an approved home.

Coco Bean is about 2 years old and weighs 7 lbs. She is a very sweet girl once she gets to know her people. She is super shy at first but has never tried to bite! She is more of a flight-risk due to fear. She will need a quiet home with someone who will give her time to settle and gain trust. She is so sweet and playful once she feels safe and secure!

Ziggy is a beautiful, happy-go-lucky girl with a heart full of love and a personality that makes everyone smile! She absolutely adores everyone she meets and has done wonderfully with adults of all ages, as well as teenagers. This sweet girl already has some impressive manners and routines under her belt! She knows how to sit, walks on a leash, loves a good game of fetch (and knows how to drop!), and is crate trained. Ziggy is always up for a little fun! She loves car rides and seems like the kind of girl who would happily tag along on just about any adventure. While she's still new to her foster home, hiking trips are already on the agenda, and we have a feeling she's going to love every minute! At home, Ziggy has the perfect balance of playful and relaxed.

Meet Gerald, a giant, cuddly baby who is 100% convinced he’s a lapdog! Sweet as can be and endlessly goofy, this oversized puppy gets along wonderfully with kids of all ages, adults, and other dogs. When he’s not throwing his favorite squeaky toys around the room, Gerald’s primary mission is snuggling—whether that means laying across your feet, leaning in for endless pets, or using you as his personal mattress. Because he thrives on human connection and just wants to be part of the action, Gerald would do best with a family where someone works from home or is open to doggy daycare. His ideal adopters won't mind a little extra fur, routine drool, and a gentle giant who is still learning spatial awareness and realizing he's slightly too big to actually fit in your lap.

Meet Apollo, a sweet little Yorkie who is still learning that the world and the people in it are safe! Because Apollo didn’t have much human socialization before coming into rescue, he is very timid at first and needs a calm, patient person, preferably at home alot, willing to give him time and space to settle in. It takes him about three weeks to truly open up, but once he trusts you, he becomes your devoted little shadow—following you everywhere, keeping you company, and cozying up right at your feet. Interestingly, Apollo isn't shy around other dogs at all! He lights up around canine companions of any size, especially bigger dogs and loves to join in on playtime, and gains so much confidence from having a doggy buddy to guide him.
