1. Dior
Adult · Female · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Bulldog / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Courtesy post: Some dogs lose their home once. Dior has lost hers more than once, and somehow, she still has nothing but love to give.
Please take a minute to read Dior’s story. This beautiful girl deserves a happy ending, and we desperately want to help her find it.
Read more about Dior
At just 4 years old, Dior has already experienced more heartbreak than any dog should. She was surrendered by her original owner when she was only a year old, but eventually found what she thought would be her forever home with an elderly couple in their 80s who absolutely adored her. She became her dad’s constant companion. They were inseparable. She stayed by his side, walked gently beside him, and gave him the kind of unconditional love only a dog can give.
Sadly, both of her beloved humans have since passed away. Their neighbor, who is now caring for Dior, stepped in to make sure she wouldn't be left without somewhere to go. But despite their best efforts, Dior needs a new forever family of her own.
And here's the thing about Dior... she is SO easy to love.
She is a professional cuddler who loves nothing more than snuggling up with her person, preferably right in bed beside them. She has a serious obsession with tennis balls, enjoys her outdoor playtime, loves her toys, and knows her commands. She is affectionate, devoted, gentle, and happiest when she has someone to call her own.
Dior is looking for a home where she can be the one and only pet. She deserves a home where she doesn't have to compete for attention or navigate life alongside other animals. She has also shown focused curiosity toward cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Dior would do best in a quieter home with a predictable routine, where she can soak up all the love and attention. Her experience with children is limited, so any placement with kids would need careful consideration.
She is currently around 72 pounds and working toward a healthier weight.
We know her perfect person is out there. Someone who wants a loyal companion, a cuddle buddy, a tennis ball enthusiast, and a best friend who will adore them with her whole heart.
Dior has already had to say goodbye to the people she loved most. She deserves to stop wondering where she belongs. She deserves a home where she can unpack her bags, climb onto the couch, steal a spot in bed, and finally know that she's staying.
Let's make sure Dior's next chapter is her forever chapter.
Prince Frederick, Calvert County, Maryland. Her current caretaker is willing to travel for the right home.
Dior is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

5. Graham
Adult (2 years 11 months) · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) · 23 mi from Dundalk

Available for Adoption
Read more about Graham
Meet Teddy Graham Graham is a 3yr old, 50lb, neutered male that was saved from a local high kill shelter. Graham is a super sweet boy who greatly enjoys life despite the rough start he has had since we’ve pulled him from the shelter where he arrived as a stray. Graham enjoys squeaky toys and chewing on bones in his foster home. He did well meeting the resident dog in his temporary foster home after slow introductions where they enjoyed playing chase in the yard together. Graham appears to be house broken when let out consistently and is working on his positive relationship with the crate. He was doing well with his temp foster and she could even leave him lose in the finished basement without him getting into or destroying anything. Graham basically seems like your average joe but he’s not lazy by any means. He would really like a home with a playmate to run around with, someone to take him on walks or play fetch outback before some snooze time on the catch for some tv for the evening; so nothing major but a little something.
Graham is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives with an adoption fee of $375. If you think this Teddy Graham would be the perfect furever member of your family please fill out our adoption application at: https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-application

9. Rogue of Kyle TX
11 Years · Male · American Eskimo Dog · 14 mi from Dundalk

Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her.Rogue is an 11-year-old Mini American Eskimo with a lot of personality and some very lovable quirks. He is extremely food motivated and absolutely loves treats, meals, and especially Dentastix. One of the quickest ways to win him over is through snacks. He enjoys walks, going by by in the car, swimming, and anything involving water. He also loves cozy, enclosed spaces where he feels safe especially forts or blanket-covered areas where he can relax comfortably.
Read more about Rogue of Kyle TX
With people he knows and trusts, Rogue is often a wonderful companion. He can be affectionate, playful, and very normal in everyday life. Although he is cautious around new people, he has shown many times that he is capable of warming up successfully to dog walkers, friends, and extended family members over time. Rogue does struggle with anxiety, and most of his behavioral issues seem to stem from fear and discomfort rather than aggression for aggressions sake. He has bitten several people in the past and can be unpredictable at times, particularly when touched unexpectedly, touched in a sensitive area, or approached when he is feeling anxious or unsafe. Because of this, he has not been able to go to a traditional groomer for several years. He is not naturally social with other animals, but he has shown that with slow introductions, patience, and consistency, he can adapt and coexist normally with some dogs. He has not done well with cats. Rogue's biting is not in a vicious manner, more like nipping and warning to stay away or slow down. Rogue would make a good companion for an experienced dog owner that understands dogs. Rogue needs a new home because of children in the home. For more information please contact Katie Katiepleshar@gmail.com

10. Wheelz
Adult · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Meet Wheelz!
This handsome 60-pound boy is equal parts playful, curious, and sweet — with just the right amount of goofy mischief to keep life interesting! At 2 years old, Wheelz is ready for a family who will help him continue coming out of his shell and show him just how wonderful life can be.
Wheelz is an active guy who loves to PLAY! Fetch is a favorite, and if there’s water involved, even better! He enjoys his walks and is generally calm on leash, making him a fun adventure buddy. He’s also great in the car and happily settles into his crate when it’s time to relax.
Read more about Wheelz
One of the best things about Wheelz? DOGS! He is dog-friendly, and having a canine buddy around really helps boost his confidence. He would likely thrive in a home with another friendly, playful dog who can show him the ropes and be his best friend.
Wheelz can be a little shy when meeting new people and may need some time to warm up to strangers. Loud noises can also make him nervous, so he’ll do best with patient people who understand that confidence doesn’t happen overnight. Give him a little time, some tasty treats, and plenty of positive encouragement, and you’ll see his sweet personality shine through.
Wheelz would love an active family with older kids (6+) who can enjoy walks, yard play, fetch, and plenty of fun with him. He’s also reported to be good with cats!
If you’re looking for a playful adventure buddy with a soft heart who just needs someone to believe in him, Wheelz is ready to roll straight into your heart.

13. Arbie
Puppy (1 month 5 days) · Male · Siberian Husky / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (long coat) · 14 mi from Dundalk

Meet the Olivettes - Arbie
Read more about Arbie
Born on September 19, the Olivettes are a very special group of puppies with an incredible beginning. Their mom, Olive, came to us pregnant and out of time in a shelter. We got her to safety and gave her a soft, quiet place to deliver her babies — her first chance at real security. These pups were born into safety, love, and stability, and we intend to make sure their futures reflect that same promise. The Olivettes will be ready for adoption on November 15, and we’d like to have adopters confirmed for all of them. They are healthy, social, vocal, and full of Husky energy — everything you’d expect from a litter raised with confidence and care
Adoption Requirements
To ensure these pups continue to thrive, we have specific requirements for their adoptive homes:
Pick-Up Only: Adopters must plan to pick up their puppy from Virginia Beach, VA or Severn, MD (foster home or rescue). We will not transport puppies at this age.
Socialization Needs: These pups must have another dog in the home. The three puppies remaining require ongoing socialization. We will not place them in a home where there are only senior dogs — that’s not fair to your senior dog.
Spay/Neuter Requirement: All puppies must be spayed/neutered by 6 months old. There are no exceptions to this; licensing requires it.
We provide a spay/neuter appointment with our vet in Maryland.
Out-of-state adopters may use their own vet, but we cover costs only up to what our vet charges. Any difference is the adopter’s responsibility.
Activity Level: These are active, high-energy dogs who will need an active lifestyle.
Prior experience with working breeds is required, and they are not suited to sedentary homes.
Supervision Needs: At adoption age, they can only be left unsupervised for 2-hour intervals. If you work full days outside the home, these pups are not an appropriate match.
Cats: We have no way of knowing if they will be cat-friendly. If you have cats, you must have a safe, solid separation plan in case prey drive develops. We will ask you about this — we do not want to see a dog returned for normal Husky instincts.
Noise Considerations: This is a vocal litter. Please be mindful of your neighbors if you live in a multi-family dwelling.
Fenced Yard Priority: We will be prioritizing homes with fenced yards for safety and appropriate exercise.

16. Boulderface
Young · Male · American Bulldog · 23 mi from Dundalk

In honor of Pit Bull Awareness Month, my adoption fee is WAIVED for the entire month of October! ❤Meet Boulderface, a 1-year-old XXL Bully mix with a head as big as his heart. This goofy guy came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about his past, but what we do know is that he's packed full of love, muscle, and personality.Boulderface may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he makes up for it with endless affection and an adorable "big doofus" charm. He absolutely loves people and believes personal space is optional. In fact, he's one of the biggest leaners you'll ever meet. If you're standing nearby, expect a giant bully-sized shadow pressed against your side.
Read more about Boulderface
If you move, he's probably coming with you.Still very much a puppy at heart, Boulderface is learning the ropes. He already knows how to sit and usually comes when called, but he's still working on mastering those listening skills. With continued training, consistency, and patience, this lovable meathead is sure to keep making progress.Because of his size and strength, Boulderface is looking for a home with children over 8 years old who can comfortably handle a big, happy dog. He may enjoy a canine companion who can match his playful energy, but any meet-and-greets with resident dogs are recommended. Cats are definitely not his thing. Boulderface doesn't always realize just how big he is, and a feline friend would not appreciate his enthusiastic approach to life. The ideal home for Boulderface is one with someone willing to provide structure, guidance, and plenty of love. He needs a person who can occasionally put their foot down when this oversized puppy forgets his manners. In return, you'll get a loyal best friend, a professional cuddle expert, and enough love to fill an entire room.If you're looking for a giant goofball with a heart of gold and a face you'll never forget, Boulderface might just be your perfect match. ❤️Boulderface's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. 18. Lexi
Adult · Female · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Courtesy post: Meet Lexi!
Lexi is a sweet, lovable Staffy mix who is now in Middle River, Maryland and looking for her forever home!
Lexi was rescued from a neglected home in South Carolina, where she was left outside much of the time with nothing more than a broken-down dog house. After coming into a loving home, she has spent the past six months discovering just how wonderful life can be.
Read more about Lexi
Lexi is truly the sweetest girl with an easygoing, affectionate personality. She is a total couch potato who loves relaxing, sleeping on the bed, and hanging out with her people. She also enjoys walks and chewing on a good bone. She is house trained and is just an incredibly easy girl to live with.
Unfortunately, after peacefully living with another female pit bull mix for several months, Lexi recently developed a serious conflict with the other female. The dogs have had two significant fights, and their family has had to keep them completely separated.
Female-to-female conflicts can happen even after dogs have lived together successfully for a long time, which is one of the reasons we are very cautious about pairing two female dogs. This doesn't necessarily mean Lexi can't live with another dog. With the right introduction and personality match, a calm, compatible male dog with a similar energy level could potentially be a wonderful companion for her. We simply don't want to rule out the possibility based on her current situation.
Her family loves Lexi dearly and had planned to keep her forever, but they know the current situation isn't sustainable. They believe Lexi deserves a home where everyone can relax and where she can continue being the happy, affectionate girl they know and love.
Lexi is approximately 3–5 years old, weighs about 75 pounds, is spayed, fully vaccinated, and was treated for heartworm approximately eight months ago. She has not been crate trained, so her comfort with a crate is unknown.
Lexi has been wonderful with people and was comfortable when her 3-year-old granddaughter visited. However, because she has had very little exposure to children, her family feels a home with older children or adults may be the best fit.
We don't know how Lexi would do with cats. She loves chasing squirrels and rabbits, so a cat-free home would likely be the safest choice.
Lexi would make an amazing companion for someone looking for a big, sweet, affectionate couch potato. She loves her people, enjoys her walks and bones, and is ready to put her past behind her and settle into a forever home.
Lexi is currently in Middle River, Maryland.

19. Buddy
Puppy · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Buddy’s name isn’t just a noun—it’s an adjective! This sweet boy truly is everyone’s buddy.
As of 10/3/2026, Buddy is 10 weeks old and already proving what a love bug he is! He’s just beginning his journey and can’t wait to find his forever home. Buddy loves people and is settling in beautifully with his foster family. He has been introduced to the other dogs and cats in his foster home, and those introductions are going very well. He’s taking everything in stride as he gets comfortable in his new surroundings.
Read more about Buddy
Buddy is doing awesome with his housebreaking and loves to snuggle and play. He’s also learning to walk nicely on a leash and responds wonderfully to basic training using positive rewards.
He’s doing very well with crate training, too, and his crate has become his own safe and comfortable place to relax when no one is home.
Buddy has been an easy pup so far and, with continued love, patience, and positive guidance, will reward you with all the love, companionship, and puppy kisses you could possibly want! Like any young pup, he’ll need a family willing to continue showing him the ropes as he grows, but he’s off to a wonderful start and has so much potential to become an amazing lifelong companion.
Don’t miss your chance to make this adorable little guy your very own Buddy!
20. Junior
Adult · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Meet Junior!
Junior is an adorable, 58 pound beefy Pittie/Bulldog mix who is ready for his forever home!
You’d never guess Junior is 8—he looks and acts much younger! He is playful, affectionate, and loves spending time with his people. He’s a great listener and has lots of youthful energy and personality.
Junior is housebroken, crate trained, and does well when left alone. He has boarded overnight and done well, and he is comfortable at the vet. His previous family reported that he had no issues with people handling his toys or bones.
Read more about Junior
Junior has experience with children and other large dogs and generally did well. He seems to especially enjoy female dogs. And an added bonus—he is good with cats!
Junior is an enthusiastic, playful boy who will benefit from a family willing to continue working on impulse control during play. He shows good manners in general! Because he can be a little exuberant during play, we think he would do best with older, dog-savvy children.
At 8, Junior may be a senior on paper, but he certainly hasn’t gotten the memo! He has the playful spirit of a much younger dog while being past the puppy stage.
If you’re looking for a handsome, affectionate, playful Pittie mix who is housebroken, crate trained, good with cats, and ready for his next adventure, Junior might be your guy.

22. Sheila
Young · Female · Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler · 12 mi from Dundalk

Meet Sheila (AKA Rowan)!
Rowan is an adorable Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs about 38 pounds. She came to us at the beginning of September as an 8-month-old pup from a local shelter, where she was named Sheila. Her foster family has gotten to know her as Rowan, and it seems to fit her personality perfectly!
We’re so grateful we had the opportunity to bring this sweet girl into our rescue. She has truly been quite a catch, and we have no doubt she’s going to make an amazing companion for a very lucky family.
Read more about Sheila
Rowan is a complete lovebug with a happy, joyful personality. She loves people and is thriving in her foster home, where she lives happily with a male dog. She loves to play and enjoys having a canine friend to romp around with. She has also had an introduction to a cat and showed very little reaction, which was a great start! She also seems very interested in meeting children—in fact, when she sees kids outside the window, she watches them with a wagging tail and sometimes even whines because she wants to say hello!
Rowan is doing wonderfully with her training. She already knows quite a bit and is eager to listen and learn. She’s also doing remarkably well with crate training. Rowan is still learning that her crate is a great place to relax, and she settles very nicely once she’s in it. She does especially well with crate time while her foster family is away, even for several hours.
Rowan is a gentle girl, too. She takes food and toys gently and is very comfortable being handled all over. Her foster family can touch her, pick her up when needed, and even take something from her mouth without a fuss. She’s curious about the world around her, but so far her puppy curiosity is mostly focused on the important things in life: food and toys!
Like any young dog, Rowan is still learning and has plenty of growing and learning ahead of her, but she’s off to a fantastic start. She’s affectionate, playful, happy, social, curious, and eager to please—and we think she has all the makings of an absolutely wonderful family dog.
If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving young dog who will happily be your new best friend, Rowan may just be your girl!

Suki is a 2 year old loving, goofy, energetic, sweet, and loyal dog who will thrive with an active family or person who understands and appreciates the intelligence and exuberance of a young GSD. She will do best in an adult only home (NO cats) where she can run and play to her heart’s content.
A home with a backyard would be ideal.
Suki was rescued from a local shelter about 2 years ago, she is a high energy, easily excitable, and protective dog.
Read more about Suki
Suki is very smart and was trained at Applejack K-9 Academy & Kennel. She loves a mission and is very obedient and committed in this regard! She is great at obstacle courses too.
Suki likes to play with stuffed animals and balls of any kind, especially Jolly Balls and balls that make noise. She enjoys playing monkey in the middle with a ball or toy, fetch, chase and tug. She also likes hunting for treats that are hidden around the house.
She adores having chewable treats that soften as she chews them and peanut butter-filled plastic or natural bones.

26. Bill
Adult · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Courtesy post: BILL WAS ABANDONED... BUT SOMEONE REFUSED TO GIVE UP ON HIM.
Bill's story began when he was just a puppy in South Florida. His foster found him a home, believing he was finally safe and settled.
But through a series of unfortunate circumstances and multiple homes, Bill eventually ended up abandoned and alone in an overcrowded rural Florida shelter—hundreds of miles away from where his journey began.
His microchip had never been updated, so when the shelter reached out, the person who had originally fostered him was contacted.
She couldn't turn her back on him.
Read more about Bill
When the shelter and rescues in Florida had no available space, she paid $1,700 out of her own pocket to transport Bill all the way from Florida to Maryland—with no real plan other than getting him to safety.
And now, Bill desperately needs help again.
The resident dog in the home has become aggressive toward him, and with a toddler in the house, the situation has become increasingly stressful and unsafe. His foster has done everything she can, but she urgently needs to find Bill a foster or forever home where he can finally settle in and feel safe.
MEET BILL—ALSO AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS “CRICKET!”
Bill earned his nickname because he loves to jump, hop, and chase crickets around the yard! This goofy boy also loves jumping over his bed and baby gates—although his landing technique isn't always as graceful as he seems to think it is.
Bill is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound black-and-white Pittie mix who is an immensely sweet and innocent soul. He may be fully grown, but he still thinks he's a baby!
He was a cuddly, goofy, mama's boy at 8 weeks old, and he is still exactly the same today. When Bill isn't following his favorite person around, he's usually curled up somewhere soft, watching the neighborhood from the front window, or looking for squirrels and crickets to chase.
BILL IS:
Dog-friendly
Gentle with children
Previously reported to be cat-friendly
Potty and crate trained
Knows several commands
Extremely affectionate and cuddly
Goofy, playful, and full of personality
He loves being lazy around the house just as much as he loves playing outside. He's not afraid of thunderstorms, but water? Absolutely not!
His DNA results make him even more unique: 66% American Pit Bull Terrier, 16% Bulldog, and 18% Supermutt—with some Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mixed in!
Bill has been through so much in his short life. He has been passed from home to home, abandoned, transported hundreds of miles, and is now once again searching for somewhere safe to land.
He deserves for this to be the last time.
Bill's foster went above and beyond to save him when no one else could. Now this sweet, silly boy needs someone to step up and give him the stable home he has always deserved.
Let's help this adorable little “Cricket” finally find the family that will love him forever.
Bill is ready to stop searching for home... and finally be home.
Contact Erica at e.nunez3692@gmail.com or 954-895-3427. He is now in Baltimore City near Herring Run Park.

27. Emmie
Adult · Female · German Shepherd Dog / Husky / Mixed · 23 mi from Dundalk

❤️ Some dogs need a home. Emmie needs a place to heal. ❤️Meet Emmie — a 7-year-old Husky/German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her smile.Emmie came to us after her owner had to move in with family, and the resident dog in the home wasn't getting along with her. The family told us, "Emmie is perfect — she definitely wasn't the problem," and after just five minutes with her, you'll understand exactly what they meant.Emmie has done wonderfully with every person she's met. She's gentle, patient, and truly enjoys being part of a family. At this time, Emmie is looking for a quiet, low-stress home with no kids, no dogs, and no cats.
Read more about Emmie
Shelter life has pushed her stress to the max, and we've seen her become more irritable and less tolerant of fast movements, being grabbed quickly, or being told what to do.It's important to note that this is something we've only started seeing after Emmie has spent so much time in the shelter environment. The constant stress and lack of stability have been incredibly hard on her, and we're hopeful that once she's able to decompress in a home setting, these behaviors will improve or disappear altogether. Right now, she simply needs a calm environment where she can feel safe, secure, and not overwhelmed. One thing Emmie is struggling with here at the shelter is eating. Like many animals who come from loving homes, the sudden change has been hard on her. Her previous family tried everything to make the situation work before making the heartbreaking decision to surrender her, and Emmie is feeling that loss too. We've tried countless foods and tricks to help her settle in, but nothing has fully stuck yet. What she does love is human food — she's a girl with taste. If you're someone who enjoys cooking, understands sensitive dogs, and has room in your heart for a companion who desperately wants to feel secure again, Emmie is waiting for you. She's one of those dogs who is simply too good to be anywhere but in a home where she's truly loved.Even if you're not in a position to adopt, we'd love to talk with you about fostering. Getting Emmie out of the shelter, even temporarily, could make a world of difference for her. If you think you can give her a quiet place to decompress and feel safe, please reach out — we're happy to chat about whether fostering or adoption might be the right fit.Emmie deserves a soft place to land, and we're hopeful her person is out there. ❤️This pet has been sponsored and is free for adoption. 29. Valor
Adult · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed · 12 mi from Dundalk

Courtesy post: Meet Valor, a resilient, brilliant, and incredibly affectionate 2-year-old boy who has been through far more than any dog should and somehow still believes people are pretty wonderful.
At 65 pounds, Valor is a big-hearted adventurer who loves car rides with his head out the window, zoomies in shallow water, and joining his humans for paddleboarding and kayaking adventures.
Read more about Valor
He is also one smart cookie. Valor knows sit, down, focus, and wait, is food motivated, and has been doing wonderfully with both group and individual training at Dogizone in Rockville. He walks beautifully on a martingale collar when his environment is calm and has been described as a stellar student.
One important thing to know about Valor is that his reactivity is very situational and is not aggression. He does wonderfully when he has room to interact and play with other dogs. He has played successfully with dogs in outdoor spaces, at daycare, and during group activities, and he has been introduced to other dogs at pet stores and while playing outside without issues. In fact, his daycare and trainers have seen him play appropriately with other dogs. His challenge tends to happen in confined spaces such as apartment hallways, elevators, or lobbies, where he sees another dog nearby and wants to get to them and play. His current living situation makes these unavoidable encounters especially difficult, but in the right environment with more space and fewer tight, unexpected interactions, Valor has shown that he can enjoy positive experiences with other dogs.
Valor has already overcome so much. He survived eviction, abandonment, and a neglectful foster situation, yet his spirit remains incredibly strong. What he needs now is not someone to fix him. He needs someone willing to understand him, advocate for him, and give him the consistency, patience, and peaceful home he deserves.
His current dad adopted him from an Atlanta shelter after Valor landed on the euthanasia list. He has invested in training and loves Valor deeply, but his busy, dog-friendly apartment building has become an extremely difficult environment for a dog who needs more space and fewer unexpected encounters. This is not a story about giving up on Valor. It is about recognizing that sometimes loving a dog means being willing to find the environment where they can truly thrive.
And we truly believe Valor will thrive.
He is adventurous, affectionate, clever, curious, enthusiastic, snuggly, food motivated, communicative, protective, and incredibly resilient. Valor is looking for his forever sanctuary, a home where he can finally exhale, feel safe, keep learning, and be the amazing dog we know he can be.
Valor is located in North Bethesda, Maryland. He is housetrained, microchipped, neutered, current on his vaccines, and has already received extensive training and support. An experienced adopter who can provide a calm, structured environment would be ideal.
To learn more about Valor, contact Aaron at (443) 904-0973 or aaronlfranklin1@gmail.com
Valor has already shown us how much fight he has in him. Now he just needs someone willing to show him that the rest of his story can be filled with love, adventure, and finally, home.

Adult · Female · Pit Bull Terrier · 23 mi from Dundalk

In honor of Pit Bull Awareness Month, my adoption fee is WAIVED for the entire month of October! ❤❤️ After years of putting everyone else first, Peppercorn is finally looking for a family who will make her the center of their world. ❤️Meet Peppercorn, a sweet, gentle girl who came to us skinny, alone, and still somehow full of joy. Even on her very first day, she greeted us with a wagging tail and acted like she had known us forever. It didn’t take long for us to see just how much love she has to give.During her dog test, Peppercorn showed us that after likely being bred over and over again, she’s ready for a life where she can finally just be her own dog.
Read more about Peppercorn
She prefers to be the only animal in the home, but with kids she has been nothing but wonderful. She’s patient, affectionate, and we have no concerns about her living with children.Peppercorn recently enjoyed a weekend sleepover with a foster family, where we learned even more about what makes her special. She absolutely adores children and even made several trips to a local middle school, where she happily made dozens of new friends. She loved every bit of the attention and proved what a wonderful family companion she can be.Like many dogs adjusting to life in a home, Peppercorn is still working on a few skills. She will need continued training with counter surfing and would benefit from crate training to help her settle comfortably into her new routine. She's eager to please and ready to learn alongside a family willing to guide her.Peppercorn is also still learning what toys are and how to have fun with them, but she's trying, and it's adorable to watch her discover joy in real time. She also enjoys the simple pleasures in life, especially finding a sunny spot to stretch out and sunbathe. Love, though? She knows that better than anyone. When you look at her, you can guess the past she's had, but you can also see how ready she is for a future filled with kindness, comfort, and a family who will finally treat her the way she deserves. ☀️❤️If you’re looking for a loyal, loving dog who will devote her whole heart to her family, Peppercorn is ready to meet you.Peppercorn's adoption fee is $0, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoptionPlease note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
