1. Arbie
Puppy (1 month 5 days) · Male · Siberian Husky / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (long coat)

Meet the Olivettes - Arbie
Read more about Arbie
Born on September 19, the Olivettes are a very special group of puppies with an incredible beginning. Their mom, Olive, came to us pregnant and out of time in a shelter. We got her to safety and gave her a soft, quiet place to deliver her babies — her first chance at real security. These pups were born into safety, love, and stability, and we intend to make sure their futures reflect that same promise. The Olivettes will be ready for adoption on November 15, and we’d like to have adopters confirmed for all of them. They are healthy, social, vocal, and full of Husky energy — everything you’d expect from a litter raised with confidence and care
Adoption Requirements
To ensure these pups continue to thrive, we have specific requirements for their adoptive homes:
Pick-Up Only: Adopters must plan to pick up their puppy from Virginia Beach, VA or Severn, MD (foster home or rescue). We will not transport puppies at this age.
Socialization Needs: These pups must have another dog in the home. The three puppies remaining require ongoing socialization. We will not place them in a home where there are only senior dogs — that’s not fair to your senior dog.
Spay/Neuter Requirement: All puppies must be spayed/neutered by 6 months old. There are no exceptions to this; licensing requires it.
We provide a spay/neuter appointment with our vet in Maryland.
Out-of-state adopters may use their own vet, but we cover costs only up to what our vet charges. Any difference is the adopter’s responsibility.
Activity Level: These are active, high-energy dogs who will need an active lifestyle.
Prior experience with working breeds is required, and they are not suited to sedentary homes.
Supervision Needs: At adoption age, they can only be left unsupervised for 2-hour intervals. If you work full days outside the home, these pups are not an appropriate match.
Cats: We have no way of knowing if they will be cat-friendly. If you have cats, you must have a safe, solid separation plan in case prey drive develops. We will ask you about this — we do not want to see a dog returned for normal Husky instincts.
Noise Considerations: This is a vocal litter. Please be mindful of your neighbors if you live in a multi-family dwelling.
Fenced Yard Priority: We will be prioritizing homes with fenced yards for safety and appropriate exercise.

4. Lupo
Young (8 months) · Male · Siberian Husky / Chow Chow / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Lupo
Lupo is an 8 month-old Husky mix who came to H-E-A-R-T from a local cruelty case, rescued alongside his mom, Jetta, and two of his siblings.
With the help of his foster family — especially his foster Husky siblings — Lupo is doing incredibly well. He’s learning that houses aren't so scary, people can be trusted, and being part of a family is actually pretty great.
Lupo is a high-energy, vocal young guy who loves other dogs, toys, tug-of-war and, perhaps more than anything else, WATER. Pools, swimming, splashing — if there’s water involved, Lupo would like to participate.
At home, Lupo is:
Mostly housebroken
High-energy and vocal
Read more about Lupo
Good with other young, playful dogs
Good on leash, although he can still pull
Still learning bite inhibition and appropriate puppy play
Wary of strangers and sudden movements... But is making daily progress
Lupo is still very much a puppy. He can be mouthy when playing and is an enthusiastic chewer, so continued redirection, crate training, and plenty of appropriate chew toys will help him mature. Because of his energy and play style, he’s best suited for families with children 10+.
Lupo must have another energetic, tolerant dog — he gains confidence from canine companions and has made huge progress with his foster siblings. He needs an active family committed to regular walks, exercise, and patient introductions to new people. A fenced yard isn’t required as long as his family provides consistent leash walks and leashed potty breaks.
And if Lupo could add one special request? A pool or a place to swim. Water is his absolute joy.
Lupo started life learning reasons to be cautious. Now he needs a family — and a canine best friend — who will keep showing him all the reasons he doesn't have to be.
Lupo is being fostered in Virginia and is adoptable from NJ - NC.

5. Jetta
Adult (2 years 2 months) · Female · Siberian Husky / Chow Chow / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Jetta!
Independent, people-focused, and ready for a fresh start.
Jetta came to H-E-A-R-T after being part of a severe local neglect case. She and five other dogs were surrendered to animal control, closing the door on a life none of them deserved. For Jetta, what comes next is a chance to experience something very different — a home where she is safe, included, and genuinely part of the family.
Jetta enjoys being with her people and would do best with a family that wants her involved in their everyday life.
Jetta’s Dream Home
Jetta is looking for:
A family that will make her part of everyday life
Plenty of human companionship
Read more about Jetta
A home where she won’t routinely be left alone for long periods
Patience and consistency while she settles in and learns her new routine
Regular walks, exercise, and enrichment
A secure six-foot Husky-proof fence or a commitment to leash walking
A home where she can be the only dog or share her space with a calm, respectful canine companion
Jetta is non-destructive (although can be curious if you leave things on the counter), crate trained, housebroken, and mostly quiet for a Husky. She's a good eater and doesn't seem to be picky. For a Husky she walks well on a leash.
Jetta has already lived through a chapter no dog should have to experience. What comes next should look very different:
security, consistency, companionship, and a family willing to give her the time she needs to understand that this time, she’s home.
Jetta is located in Maryland.

6. Juno
Adult (2 years 2 months) · Female · Siberian Husky (long coat)

Meet Juno
Juno is a 2-year-old female Husky who came to H-E-A-R-T after being found as a stray and put in a Georgia shelter. She arrived at the shelter underweight and neglected, with an unkempt coat and painfully overgrown nails, but quickly blossomed into a shelter favorite. When overcrowding put her at risk of euthanasia, Juno got her second chance and made her way to H-E-A-R-T’s sanctuary in North Carolina.
Read more about Juno
Juno is a perfect example of how looks can be deceiving. That adorable, innocent face might have you expecting a delicate little princess. In reality, she’s a wrestling, energetic girl with a big personality who likes to instigate the others into playing with her.
Juno Is:
- High-energy and playful
- Confident and full of personality
- Good with other dogs
- A rough-and-tumble player
- In need of a securely fenced yard
Juno’s Dream Home
For Juno, another dog is a must. She needs a canine sibling who can match her energy, enjoy her wrestling play style, and be comfortable letting Juno be a boss lady.
She also needs an active family and a secure yard where she can play and burn off that Husky energy.
Juno has already shown just how much she can flourish when given the chance. Now she’s ready for a family, a canine partner-in-crime, and a place to finally call home.
Juno is located in North Carolina. Adoption area: CT, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC - and other neighboring states on a case by case basis. She can be transported for adoption.

7. Glacier
Adult (3 years 4 months) · Male · Siberian Husky (long coat)

Meet Glacier
Glacier is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky who came to H-E-A-R-T after being picked up as a stray and brought to a shelter in Georgia. The shelter was having to euthanize for space but his happy personality, polite manners, and irresistible grin quickly made him a staff favorite. So when no one came to claim this charming boy, we knew he deserved a second chance!
Read more about Glacier
Glacier may on the shorter side for a Husky, but his personality is anything but small! He's a high-energy, very vocal, social butterfly who absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs. He especially gravitates toward the ladies and seems to believe that when it comes to canine playmates, the bigger, the better!
In foster care , Glacier Is:
High-energy and very vocal
Social, happy, and playful
Good on a leash
Great with other dogs
No resource guarding exhibited
Not accustomed to being left alone for long periods
Glacier's Dream Home
Another playful dog is an absolute must for Glacier. He needs a young, active, medium-to-large canine sibling who can match his enthusiasm for playtime. He also requires a securely fenced yard and an active family with Husky or similar breed experience.
Glacier hasn't been evaluated around children, but a home with older kids would work. Glacier came into the rescue heartworm positive but is nearing the end of his treatment and ready for his next journey.
With his infectious enthusiasm, endless love of play, and larger-than-life personality, Glacier is ready to bring plenty of laughter, conversation, and Husky antics to his furever home. Just make sure his new best friend is ready to keep up!
Glacier is currently located in North Carolina. Adoption area CT to GA and we are able to transport. Neighboring states considered on a case by case basis.

8. Athena & Iris
Adult (3 years 2 months) · Female · Siberian Husky (long coat)

Athena and Iris came to us from Frederick County Animal Control after being surrendered as part of a trio of under‑socialized Huskies. Shelter staff initially believed the girls didn’t get along, but once they were safely out and able to decompress, their true relationship became clear. Athena, estimated around 3 years old, and Iris, just a year, are deeply bonded — likely a mother–daughter pair who relied on each other through instability. What began as two misunderstood dogs has revealed itself to be a sweet, protective duo who have only grown closer in foster care. Their dynamic fits perfectly — Athena leads with calm confidence, and Iris follows with trust and devotion.
Read more about Athena & Iris
They enjoy the company of other dogs and will happily play, but always with each other close by. If another dog tries to pick on one, the other steps in without hesitation. Their bond is deep, protective, and incredibly sweet to witness. We'd like to find them a home together.
Athena
Calm, steady, and self‑assured
The emotional anchor of the pair
Helps Iris navigate new experiences
Gentle, sweet, and quietly affectionate
Iris
Young, silly, and still learning about the world
A bit reserved in unfamiliar environments
Gains confidence from Athena’s presence
Sweet‑natured and eager to trust once she feels safe
Because of Iris’s limited exposure and Athena’s grounding influence, the girls will thrive in a
semi‑quiet home
with someone patient and understanding. They don’t need constant activity — just a stable environment, kind guidance, and the chance to continue blossoming together.
Athena and Iris are truly special. They’ve chosen each other, and now they’re ready to choose their person/family.
