Meet Milo! Milo is a 4-year-old boy looking for a new home where he can have plenty of room to play, explore, and, most importantly, show off his frisbee skills! Although here at the shelter he has just been doing sit and jump Milo is housebroken and kennel trained. He does well for baths and brushing, and he’s even good at the vet! He has also been known to counter surf when there’s food involved, so you may want to keep those snacks out of reach! On walks, Milo does well on leash but can pull when he spots another dog. He has previously lived with two other dogs, but he has shown some food-related aggression toward another dog, so feeding separately and a proper meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings would be important.Milo previously lived with a fenced yard and figured out he could jump it. Because of his escape-artist tendencies, his future family will need to be extra mindful about keeping him safely contained. Most importantly, Milo needs a home without small children.Milo has so many great qualities packed into one handsome guy. He’s playful, smart, housebroken, loves adventures, and is ready to find a family who understands his needs and will love him for exactly who he is. ❤️Interested in adopting? 3. Slinky
Adult · Male · Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed

This Slinky Dog has had a pretty rough start, but we’re hoping the rest of his story looks a whole lot different.Meet Slinky, a sweet 2-year-old boy who arrived at our shelter alongside his two kiddos, Woody and Bo Peep. All three came to us with fleas, scared, and unsure of the world around them. But of the three, poor Slinky was in the worst shape. The fleas had taken quite a toll on his little body, leaving him with significant hair loss. While those pesky fleas are finally gone, Slinky is still working on growing his fur back. His coat might look a little rough around the edges right now, but we think he’s pretty darn handsome anyway. And just like his kids, Slinky is still learning that people can be trusted.

He’s a timid little guy who needs time to feel comfortable around new faces. He’s not going to be the dog who immediately runs into your arms, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want love. He’s just not quite sure how to accept it yet.He just needs someone willing to look past his shyness and patchy fur to see the wonderful little dog underneath. We’re hoping to find Slinky a family who understands that healing takes time. His fur will grow back, but building his confidence and trust might take a little longer. He deserves someone who won’t rush him, who will celebrate every little step forward, and who will love him just as much on his scared days as they do on his brave ones. His two kiddos, Woody and Bo Peep, are also searching for their forever homes. All three have a little healing left to do, but we know the right families can make all the difference.Slinky doesn’t need to have a perfect coat or a perfect personality to deserve a perfect ending. He just needs someone willing to give him oneInterested in adopting? 5. Malibu
Young · Female · Great Pyrenees

Meet Malibu, our sweet, shy girl who deserves a fresh start!Malibu is a 2½-year-old Great Pyrenees with a gentle soul and a timid personality. Right now, the world seems a little overwhelming to her, and she’s still trying to figure out who she can trust. But underneath that shy exterior is a sweet girl who just needs someone willing to give her the time, patience, and love she deserves.Unfortunately, she also came to us with an injury on one of her hind legs. She’s not putting much weight on it, and from the looks of things, we’re wondering if she may have spent time tied up. We can’t say for certain what happened.

She’ll be heading to the vet to have her leg examined so we can figure out what’s going on and get her feeling better.Being only 2½ years old, Malibu still has plenty of learning and growing to do! She’s reportedly good with kids and other dogs, although she hasn’t been around cats. She’s has been known to chew on things. She’s also a fan of toys, treats, and even bath time!Right now, our biggest priority is making sure Malibu is comfortable, healthy, and knows she’s safe. We don’t know everything about her past, and we wish she could tell us what she’s been through. But we do know that her past doesn’t have to define her future.Malibu deserves a home where she has room to stretch her legs, people who understand her breed, and most importantly, a family who won’t rush her as she learns to trust. She’s not the kind of dog who’s going to walk through the door and immediately show you her whole personality (at least so far she’s not). She’s going to need a little time, a little reassurance, and someone who sees the potential in the quiet girl standing in front of them.Interested in adopting? 6. Prince
Young · Male · French Bulldog / Mixed

Meet Prince, a 1-year-old Frenchie mix who is ready to trade life outside for a home of his very own.Prince spent most of his life as an outdoor dog, so living inside and being part of a family will be a new experience for him. He’ll need someone patient and willing to help him adjust, learn a routine, and understand what it means to finally be a house dog. He may not know all the rules yet, but he deserves the chance to learn them.Prince loves his toys… although his version of “loving” them usually involves tearing them apart. Stuffed toys, you’ve been warned. He’ll also need some work on his leash manners.
Read more about Prince
Prince is a strong boy who likes to pull and hasn’t quite figured out that walks are supposed to be a team activity. With consistency and training, we think he’ll get there. When it comes to other dogs, Prince has a very dominant personality, so we feel he would probably be happiest as the only dog in the home. He’s looking for a family where he can soak up all the attention and continue learning how to be the best version of himself.Prince is only a year old. He has so much life ahead of him and so much left to learn. What he needs now is someone willing to give him the patience, structure, training, and loveInterested in adopting? Meet Berg!Berg is just 1 year old, which means he’s got plenty of puppy energy packed into that body. He’s friendly, outgoing, and always ready for whatever is happening next. Walk? Yes. Playtime? Absolutely. Snacks? You now have his undivided attention. And when we say Berg is food motivated, we mean VERY food motivated. 8. Hippo
Adult · Male · American Bulldog / Mixed

Meet Jax, our handsome 3-year-old boy with a big personality, plenty of energy, and a serious love for belly rubs!Jax is an active guy who is always ready for playtime, walks, and adventures. He loves being around people and soaking up attention, and once the excitement settles down, he’s more than happy to roll over for some belly rubs and cuddles. One major bonus? Jax is completely house trained! He keeps his kennel clean and has had no accidents. He does get excited on walks and can be a strong puller, so he’ll need someone willing to continue working with him on his leash manners. With consistency and training, we think he has so much potential. When it comes to other dogs, Jax would do best with a female dog.

A meet and greet would still be important to make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good match. In his previous home, Jax seemed to respond better to the male in the household. He can be a strong-willed boy, he likes women, he just does better when his women are confident, consistent, and comfortable setting boundaries. Jax is definitely the type who will figure out pretty quickly what he can get away with, so he needs someone who won’t let those puppy-dog eyes convince them that the rules suddenly don’t apply.Underneath that big personality is a sweet, affectionate boy who has so much love to give. Jax just needs the right person who understands him and can give him the structure, activity, and attention he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion with plenty of personality, Jax might just be your guy!Interested in adopting? 9. Rocky
Adult · Male · Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed

Meet Rocky a 6-year-old Lab/Pit mix who is living proof that age is just a number when you are THIS EXCITED TO BE ALIVE. ❤️And before anyone says anything about his photos… we know. We tried. Rocky simply does not have time to stand still and pose when there are people to love, things to sniff, and approximately 47 reasons to wag his entire body. This guy wakes up every day absolutely THRILLED that the earth is still spinning and he gets to be here for it.Rocky is a super happy, high-energy guy who LOVES to play, especially fetch, and loves attention just as much. He knows sit and lay, is housebroken, and can be left home for a normal workday without destroying the place.
Read more about Rocky
He isn’t kennel trained, but he’s used to having free roam of the house. He has lived with kids before and did well with them, although with his energy and enthusiasm, kids who can handle his play style may be the best fit. He’s lived with another dog and has done well with cats, too, although he can play a little rough.Rocky does pull on leash and isn’t leash trained yet, so he’ll need someone strong enough to handle him and willing to work with him, otherwise he will be taking you for a walk. A fenced-in yard would be a HUGE plus so he can safely get those zoomies out. He can also be nervous in the car and may cry a little… presumably because sitting calmly while the world goes by is simply not Rocky’s brand. At 6 years old, Rocky may technically be a grown man, but nobody has informed Rocky of this. He’s goofy, energetic, affectionate, playful, and just so ridiculously happy to be on this earth that he can barely stand it.If you want a dog who will make you laugh, keep you moving, play fetch until your arm falls off, and greet life like it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to him… you need to meet Rocky. ❤️Interested in adopting?
