She has been an absolute joy to have in our family. She is very friendly, quiet (rarely barks), calm, and easy going. 8. Slinky
Adult · Male · Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed · 32 mi from Wyoming

This Slinky Dog has had a pretty rough start, but we’re hoping the rest of his story looks a whole lot different.Meet Slinky, a sweet 2-year-old boy who arrived at our shelter alongside his two kiddos, Woody and Bo Peep. All three came to us with fleas, scared, and unsure of the world around them. But of the three, poor Slinky was in the worst shape. The fleas had taken quite a toll on his little body, leaving him with significant hair loss. While those pesky fleas are finally gone, Slinky is still working on growing his fur back. His coat might look a little rough around the edges right now, but we think he’s pretty darn handsome anyway. And just like his kids, Slinky is still learning that people can be trusted.
Read more about Slinky
He’s a timid little guy who needs time to feel comfortable around new faces. He’s not going to be the dog who immediately runs into your arms, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want love. He’s just not quite sure how to accept it yet.He just needs someone willing to look past his shyness and patchy fur to see the wonderful little dog underneath. We’re hoping to find Slinky a family who understands that healing takes time. His fur will grow back, but building his confidence and trust might take a little longer. He deserves someone who won’t rush him, who will celebrate every little step forward, and who will love him just as much on his scared days as they do on his brave ones. His two kiddos, Woody and Bo Peep, are also searching for their forever homes. All three have a little healing left to do, but we know the right families can make all the difference.Slinky doesn’t need to have a perfect coat or a perfect personality to deserve a perfect ending. 10. Malibu
Young · Female · Great Pyrenees · 32 mi from Wyoming

Meet Malibu, our sweet, shy girl who deserves a fresh start!Malibu is a 2½-year-old Great Pyrenees with a gentle soul and a timid personality. Right now, the world seems a little overwhelming to her, and she’s still trying to figure out who she can trust. But underneath that shy exterior is a sweet girl who just needs someone willing to give her the time, patience, and love she deserves.Unfortunately, she also came to us with an injury on one of her hind legs. She’s not putting much weight on it, and from the looks of things, we’re wondering if she may have spent time tied up. We can’t say for certain what happened.
Read more about Malibu
She’ll be heading to the vet to have her leg examined so we can figure out what’s going on and get her feeling better.Being only 2½ years old, Malibu still has plenty of learning and growing to do! She’s reportedly good with kids and other dogs, although she hasn’t been around cats. She’s has been known to chew on things. She’s also a fan of toys, treats, and even bath time!Right now, our biggest priority is making sure Malibu is comfortable, healthy, and knows she’s safe. We don’t know everything about her past, and we wish she could tell us what she’s been through. But we do know that her past doesn’t have to define her future.Malibu deserves a home where she has room to stretch her legs, people who understand her breed, and most importantly, a family who won’t rush her as she learns to trust. She’s not the kind of dog who’s going to walk through the door and immediately show you her whole personality (at least so far she’s not). She’s going to need a little time, a little reassurance, and someone who sees the potential in the quiet girl standing in front of them.Interested in adopting? 11. Prince
Young · Male · French Bulldog / Mixed · 32 mi from Wyoming

Meet Prince, a 1-year-old Frenchie mix who is ready to trade life outside for a home of his very own.Prince spent most of his life as an outdoor dog, so living inside and being part of a family will be a new experience for him. He’ll need someone patient and willing to help him adjust, learn a routine, and understand what it means to finally be a house dog. He may not know all the rules yet, but he deserves the chance to learn them.Prince loves his toys… although his version of “loving” them usually involves tearing them apart. 16. Rocky
Adult · Male · Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed · 32 mi from Wyoming

Meet Rocky a 6-year-old Lab/Pit mix who is living proof that age is just a number when you are THIS EXCITED TO BE ALIVE. ❤️And before anyone says anything about his photos… we know. We tried. Rocky simply does not have time to stand still and pose when there are people to love, things to sniff, and approximately 47 reasons to wag his entire body. This guy wakes up every day absolutely THRILLED that the earth is still spinning and he gets to be here for it.Rocky is a super happy, high-energy guy who LOVES to play, especially fetch, and loves attention just as much. He knows sit and lay, is housebroken, and can be left home for a normal workday without destroying the place.
Read more about Rocky
He isn’t kennel trained, but he’s used to having free roam of the house. He has lived with kids before and did well with them, although with his energy and enthusiasm, kids who can handle his play style may be the best fit. He’s lived with another dog and has done well with cats, too, although he can play a little rough.Rocky does pull on leash and isn’t leash trained yet, so he’ll need someone strong enough to handle him and willing to work with him, otherwise he will be taking you for a walk. A fenced-in yard would be a HUGE plus so he can safely get those zoomies out. He can also be nervous in the car and may cry a little… presumably because sitting calmly while the world goes by is simply not Rocky’s brand. At 6 years old, Rocky may technically be a grown man, but nobody has informed Rocky of this. He’s goofy, energetic, affectionate, playful, and just so ridiculously happy to be on this earth that he can barely stand it.If you want a dog who will make you laugh, keep you moving, play fetch until your arm falls off, and greet life like it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to him… you need to meet Rocky. ❤️Interested in adopting? But somehow, Petey never let that take away his sweetness. His tail tells you everything you need to know about him. ❤️ It’s a happy, happy tail that seems to have a mind of its own, wagging away whenever someone gives him a little attention. After everything he’s been through, Petey is still excited to see people.

29. Leonard
Adult · Male · Chihuahua / Pug / Mixed · 93 mi from Wyoming

LEONARDIn Foster HomeDo you have room in your heart for a special-needs dog? We can tell from the way he bobs his head when stressed and circles and spins when he is excited that he has something unique going on in his little head. If we had to guess his breed, we think a terrier mix with maybe some Boston terrier, chihuahua or French bulldog in there. Leonard loves the company of other dogs and would make a great playmate for a dog who enjoys a good game of chase or wrestling. He really needs another dog around in order to be happy. Leonard has come a long way toward being potty trained, given ample opportunities to go outdoors.

He also is using potty pads indoors. He has a beautiful shiny blue coat which makes him stand out from the pack. He likes to hang out with the people without having to sit on a lap or be cuddled too much. He seems to be mesmerized by things daily and is always cocking his head in the cutest way. His foster mom works from home and he LOVES that. If you have dreams of him being an obedience champion, you’ll have to let those go. He really is a very simple fella who just wants a good home with a playful dog or two and some people who will be around a lot and let him be who he is. Why adopt an adult dog in Wyoming
An adult dog's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are already house-trained.
Grown dogs need less supervision than puppies and often know the basics, like sitting and walking on a leash, which suits people who work or have young children.
