Senior (6 years 5 months) · Female · Boxer (short coat) · 19 mi from Kenyon

Meet Daniela: Future Boss of the House! About Daniela Daniela is the perfect mix of small size, big heart, and a massive personality. She is charming, sassy, and full of pure wiggle-butt enthusiasm! Daniela is happy and safe in her foster home, but she would honestly prefer not to have to compete the resident dogs for attention anymore. Personality & Quirks Daniela's presence fills the entire room—and she will absolutely bully you into giving her the attention she deserves! She has an endless supply of love and antics to share, along with a relentless dedication to making sure you don't forget about her.

The Wiggle-Butt Welcome: Expect a full-body wag every time you walk through the door, or really anytime Daniela hasn't seen you for longer than 10 seconds. Her enthusiasm for her humans is absolutely unmatched! Snack Time Focus: When it's snack time, Daniela gives her full attention to a good chew toy or a peanut butter Kong. The Sweet Snoozer: Once she has had enough activity and attention, she will snooze and snore anywhere that is cozy. She will gladly go into her kennel, as long as it is comfy and comes with a treat. Training & Home Manners Daniela has been working hard on her manners in her foster home. She thrives on routine, positive reinforcement, and structure (mostly to remind her that you actually own the house). Accidents in the house have never been an issue—Daniela is far too much of a Queen to violate that particular code. The Ideal Home Daniela would do wonderfully in a home that wants a dog with a big personality to be the absolute center of their world. She’s looking for a family that will continue to guide her with love, keep her active, and doesn't mind being affectionately bullied into on-demand playing and petting. Are you ready to welcome this sassy and hilariously demanding girl into your life?Daniela is such a tiny little nugget and not your typical "boxer" so here is her DNA test:45% Boxer41% Bulldog6% American Bulldog4% American Pitbull Terrier4% Bullmastiff

5. Harper
Senior (9 years) · Female · Boxer (short coat) · 38 mi from Kenyon

This ADORABLE little girl arrived at her Ohio foster home not quite two weeks ago and she is doing very well there. Harper has a lot going on....her backend is a little wonky, she needs to get her mouth/teeth checked out, and she had some bumps removed that we are a little concerned about. She is the sweetest thing, is eating well and is definitely soaking up all of the love and attention in her foster home. Harper tested iffy with other dogs at the shelter and has not been around cats or kids. She is completely vetted, including spayed and microchipped.

7. Alfa SENIOR
Adult (7 years 6 months) · Female · Boxer (short coat) · 38 mi from Kenyon

This beautiful girl was surrendered to an Indiana shelter when her family brought a new dog into the home that she just did not want to share her space with. She did not do well at the shelter at all and was completely shutdown and lost 10 pounds while in there. We are so thankful to our shelter contact and to everyone who stepped up to get this precious girl to us. Alfa is the SWEETEST and is very generous with her kisses for all. She arrived at her Minnesota foster home a few days ago and she is doing well with figuring out her new place. Alfa tested well with other dogs at the shelter, however, prefers to be the only dog in the home.

She is good with kids and good with cats. Alfa is housebroken. 7/20 UPDATE...Alfa is just the happiest girl ever. She loves toys and is great with kids. Her perfect home would have a fenced in yard or area for her to explore and trot around in. Our girl prefers to be the only dog in the home.7/27 UPDATE Alfa's foster mom & dad needed some help with her while they are out of town so her Boxersitter sent this............."Alfa is wonderful!!! Honestly if I was looking to adopt a dog, I would want it to be her. Unfortunately that's not in my near future but I'm having a great time watching her. She settled in just fine, like she's lived here forever. She really is great. She's active. Loves to run around the backyard. Eats good, sleeps good, loves to cuddle, potty trained. I hope she finds the perfect home because she deserves it! She loves kids too. No issues with loud noises or food/toy guarding. She doesn't care for being crated and has been left to free roam in the house for 4.5 hours (so far) with no issues. Alfa is wonderful with kids. She LOVES running around outside in our fenced-in area. She is a playful, bouncy, happy girl!"

10. Tatiana
Adult (2 years 6 months) · Female · Black Labrador Retriever (short coat) · 41 mi from Kenyon

Tatiana showed up as a stray on a rural Mower County property towards the end of October 2026, and she came to MCHS on 10/26/2026 after the finders held her for a few days. Efforts were made to see if anyone recognized her as the stray hold went on, and she was never owner claimed, so she became available for adoption. She looks to be a purebred black lab and we think she's 2 to 3 years old. She has the typical boisterous and exuberant personality of a lab. She will be vet checked and spayed on November 11th and her fee is $150.
Read more about Tatiana
Tatiana will need some basic training and regular exercise. She's a pretty strong gal. Labs are a lot of fun and can be pretty rambunctious until they reach a more mature age (like 5, 6, 7, etc...). Tatiana is fun loving and happy. We do think she'd do okay with a male dog of similar size and with older kids.

11. Sprout
Puppy (1 month 23 days) · Female · Hound / Retriever / Mixed (short coat) · 41 mi from Kenyon

Sprout (female) is 1 of 9 puppies born at the shelter on September 8th to mother dog Lenore, who appears to be a hound mix. We do not know the father's identity, but we're wondering if the puppies could be mixed with lab or golden retriever, just going by the appearances of some of them. We do expect these puppies to be fairly large dogs at maturity. Sprout will be ready for a new home around the middle of November, after she has had her 2nd of 3 distemper/parvo vaccinations. Her basic vet work will be scheduled with her adopter and must be done WITH one of our vet partners. This includes her 3rd distemper/parvo vaccination, and, when she is old enough, her rabies shot and spay surgery. All of this is covered by us under the adoption fee of $150.
Read more about Sprout
Puppies require a whole lot of time, patience, and training. They are looking for secure, committed homes, ready to keep them for the entirety of their lives. It's not always an easy journey. Sprout and her siblings should do well with other dogs, and they are all young enough to learn to interact appropriately with cats. Very young children might not be suitable as the pups develop manners and learn not to nip and chew. They need homes in which they won't be alone for long hours.

20. Lenore
Adult (2 years 6 months) · Female · Hound / Husky / Mixed (short coat) · 41 mi from Kenyon

Lenore came to the shelter on 8/14/2026 after being found loose in a rural area. We realized pretty quickly after her arrival that she was not alone, and she gave birth to 9 puppies on 9/8/2026. Once her mothering duties were completed and the pups were ready, they all quickly received numerous applications. Lenore is approximately 2 to 3 years old and appears to be a hound mix, possibly coonhound, foxhound, or maybe even beagle. She does have one blue eye so there could be some husky or Australian shepherd in there. She will be fully vetted, including her spay, on Nov. 13th and her fee is $150.
Read more about Lenore
Lenore is finally done being a mom and now this truly special dog is waiting to find a new family. She loves people and wants nothing more than to hang with them. She has done a great job wrangling and raising her 9 babies. She is well mannered and happy-go-lucky. She might need a bit of basic obedience training but does pretty well with leash walking. We do think she would be okay with a nice male dog. Kids should be fine, too. We don't know about cats.

How to adopt from Rejection Collection Boxer Rescue
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application which includes veterinary records for any current or past pets; adopters go through an interview process and a home visit. Once those steps are approved, the potential adopter can meet available dogs that fit the criteria and are a good match between family, home, and dog. An adoption contract is signed with the stipulation that RCBR can do a follow up visit and remove the dog from the home if any part of the contract is breached. Dogs can only be adopted once spay/neuter or other medical conditions requiring treatment are completed. An additional training contract is signed for any dog needing further training. If the adoptive family cannot keep the dog for the long term, the dog must be returned to RCBR. RCBR must be notified if family is planning to euthanize dog due to illness and/or old age or unknown behavior issues and can then elect to take back the dog.
Adopting a dog in Kenyon
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
