3. Pebbles
Meet Pebbles, a three-legged superstar with a heart full of love and a whole lot of life left to live! This 6-month-old Boxer/Pit mix has already overcome more than any puppy should have to, but you would never know it from her happy-go-lucky personality.
Read more about Pebbles
We believe Pebbles was hit by a car before she came into our care. She had a severe fracture near her elbow that couldn't be repaired, so amputation was necessary. She also had an old jaw fracture that has healed nicely on its own. Now that she's no longer dealing with a painful leg, Pebbles is feeling fantastic! She runs, plays, and gets around just fine with no mobility issues. Three legs certainly haven't slowed this girl down!
Pebbles is a smart cookie who already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning. She loves other dogs and does well with cats and kids, too. She's kennel trained and leash trained, and she's the kind of girl who wants to stick close to her people rather than run off on her own. Wherever her favorite humans go, Pebbles wants to be part of the adventure!
Pebbles is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.
This special girl has already shown just how resilient she is. Now she deserves a family who will see past her missing leg and recognize the wonderful, playful, loving puppy she is. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is ready to run, play, learn, and love, Pebbles is waiting to meet you!
If you are interested in adopting, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application.

4. Raggedy Ann aka Annie
EMERGENCY INTAKE UPDATE!!!
Meet Raggedy Ann, aka “Annie.” ❤️
Annie saw our vet yesterday, and unfortunately, this sweet baby has a long road to recovery ahead of her.
She is suffering from hereditary demodectic mange, fungal and bacterial skin infections, and much of her little body is essentially one large, oozing scab. She is also emaciated and full of parasites.
And yet, through all of that pain and discomfort, Annie is one of the sweetest, most grateful girls.
Read more about Raggedy Ann aka Annie
She is only around 4 months old, which means she has likely spent most—if not all—of her very short life living in this terrible condition. Despite everything she has endured, she is so appreciative of every gentle touch, every meal, and every bit of love she receives. ❤️
Annie is now safely settled into foster care, where she is finally receiving the medical treatment, nutrition, comfort, and love she desperately needs. She has a long journey ahead, but we made her a promise:
It’s ALL up from here, sweet girl. You will never have to live like this again. ❤️
Her care will be extensive, and we desperately need help covering her medical expenses. If you’re able to donate—even a few dollars—every single contribution adds up and helps us continue saying YES to animals like Annie when they need us most.

5. Beau
Meet Beau-Beau is a lively, full‑blooded hound with a big personality packed into his 33-pound frame. At just one year old, he’s energetic, curious, and always ready for his next adventure. He’s house-trained, knows how to sit for treats, and enjoys playing fetch, even if he loses interest once he’s had his fun. He doesn’t have a favorite toy yet — he’s far more interested in exploring the world around him.
Beau walks well on a leash but tends to pull when he catches an exciting scent, which is no surprise for a young hound who’s always on the hunt. He loves to run like the wind, play with other dogs, and be part of an active environment. He’s kid-friendly and social, though his experience with cats is still unknown.
This busy boy would thrive with a family who appreciates the hound temperament — spirited, affectionate, and endlessly curious. Beau is ready to bring joy, energy, and plenty of love to a home that can keep up with his adventurous nature.
If you are interested in adopting, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application. Each of our rescues will be COMPLETELY vetted and/or updated, which includes a heartworm test, worming, spay/neutered, vaccines, and micro-chipping.

6. Dakota
✨ UPDATE!! MEET DAKOTA! ✨
Meet Dakota! This adorable little guy came to us from a local overcrowded shelter and has settled beautifully into foster care!
Dakota is a 3–4-month-old Terrier mix weighing just 4 lbs. Based on his current size, we believe he may be around 10–15 lbs. as an adult, but with mixed-breed puppies, adult size is always our best guess.
This little guy is SO sweet, playful, and great with other dogs! He’s enjoying foster life, playing with his furry friends, and showing everyone what a happy little pup he is.
Dakota is UTD, neutered, and READY for his forever home!
Read more about Dakota
Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply! We work to find the home that is the best match for each individual animal.
We never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, and routines can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals. Puppies especially will need continued potty training, socialization, and guidance as they grow.
ADOPTION FEE: $195
The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter.
All puppies will be altered before adoption. As part of our rescue policy, all healthy and adoptable dogs over 8 weeks old and 2 lbs. will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We have researched pediatric spay/neuter extensively and discussed it in depth with multiple veterinarians. From a rescue standpoint, this is an essential part of our efforts to prevent unwanted litters.
There are no exceptions to this policy for healthy, adoptable puppies. Please do not request an extension on spay/neuter, as one will not be granted.
❤️ Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue. Please allow our volunteers time to respond to inquiries and applications. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Jupiter is a sweet, calm girl who does well with both dogs AND cats. She even does great at doggy daycare! She would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a more laid-back girl who can still enjoy having four-legged friends around.
She’s already been through the shelter and rescue chapter of her story. Now we’d love for the next chapter to be the one where Jupiter finally gets to go HOME.

8. Motley
Motley is a 5-month-old, 30-pound silly boy with a look all his own: white spots paired with brindle-striped legs make him one of a kind.
He's full of puppy fun, but a walk around the neighborhood, a play session with other dogs, or a game of tug of war is all it takes to wear him out, and then he's ready to settle in. He's a great fit for someone who wants a playful, happy pup without nonstop energy.
He's already house and crate trained. He gets along with other dogs and loves a good treat filled toy. Cats are still a mystery to him: he's equal parts scared and amazed by them, but has not shown aggression towards the ones in his foster home.

Our local (Mobile AL area) adoption fee is $175 and includes neuter, vaccines and microchip. He is available for Northeast US. 9. Scooter
Meet Scooter!
Scooter is a 2-year-old Lab/Staffy mix with a big smile and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is about as laid-back as they come and would absolutely love nothing more than a comfy couch to crash on and a family to love.
Scooter is constantly smiling and seems to genuinely love life and everyone he meets. He is an easygoing boy who doesn't require a ton of exercise, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a relaxed, low-key dog.
Read more about Scooter
Scooter has been neutered, vaccinated, and is on parasite prevention. He is currently being treated for heartworms, but that doesn't stop this happy boy from enjoying life and soaking up all the attention he can get.
All Scooter needs now is someone willing to give him a chance and show him what it means to have a family of his own. Will you be that person?
If you are interested in adopting, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application.

11. Mollie Mae
✨ UPDATE!! MEET MOLLIE! ✨
Now that her babies have all moved on, it’s finally Momma Mollie’s turn to be someone’s baby! ❤️
Mollie was found as a stray and went on to give birth to 7 beautiful babies. She was an amazing momma, and today her last puppy left the nest. Now this special girl is ready to begin the next chapter of her life!
Mollie is a gorgeous blue merle Catahoula mix, approximately 3–5 years old and 35–40ish lbs. When she first arrived, this poor girl was absolutely terrified. Despite how scared she was, she remained incredibly sweet and never showed any aggression.
And what a difference 8 weeks has made! ❤️
Read more about Mollie Mae
Mollie is absolutely thriving in her foster home! She loves exploring the farm, playing with her foster siblings, and then settling in for some cuddles on the couch. She is great with dogs of all sizes AND cats. She doesn’t mind children, but we feel an older, calmer household would likely be the best fit for her personality.
Mollie uses a doggy door and keeps a clean kennel. Most importantly, she has learned that people can be kind and that life can be GOOD.
Her perfect family will understand that she may need a little patience, love, and reassurance while adjusting to a new environment. Give this girl a little time to feel safe, and we truly believe you’ll get a lifetime of love in return.

15. Rebecca
✨ MEET REBECCA!!! ✨
‼️ FOR OVER 3 YEARS ‼️ our volunteers, dedicated street feeders, and Mobile County Animal Shelter worked endlessly to catch this sweet girl. Rebecca evaded trap after trap after trap!
During those years, we helped multiple litters of puppies in the area and even successfully trapped Rebecca’s sister and her litter about a year ago.
BUT 6 MONTHS AGO, EVERYTHING CHANGED!!! ❤️
Thanks to the amazing efforts of Animal Control…
REBECCA WAS FINALLY SECURED, SAFE, AND OFF THE STREETS!!!
And today, she is THRIVING in foster care!
Read more about Rebecca
How this girl survived years on the streets through freezing temperatures and snow, the extreme summer heat, traffic, vehicles, and everything else she encountered is beyond us. She is one tough girl! ❤️
Rebecca has now been fully vetted and spayed, and little by little, she is learning how to be a dog and discovering what the good life is all about.

Doesn’t mind a kennel
Uses a doggy door
Loves being comfy on the couch
Has SO much love to give!
Rebecca will need a patient, understanding family who will give her the time she needs to adjust to a new home, routine, and environment. After spending so much of her life surviving on the streets, learning to trust takes time — but this girl is absolutely worth it. ❤️
She deserves to finally know what it feels like to have a family of her very own.
This rescue was truly a GROUP EFFORT. It takes a village, and we have the BEST! We are incredibly thankful to every volunteer, street feeder, Animal Control officer, shelter employee, foster, and supporter who played a part in getting Rebecca to safety.
Now there is only ONE thing missing from her story…
❤️ HER FOREVER HOME! ❤️
If you can give Rebecca the patient, loving home she has waited YEARS for, please submit an adoption application!

16. Daisy
UPDATE!!✨
I spent my life being neglected… but somehow, I never stopped believing people could be good.
“Hello, my name is Daisy.
I’m a calm, gentle girl who is approximately 5 years old. I was abandoned in a rural area of West Mobile, where I was found emaciated, starving and desperately in need of someone to care.
Thankfully, my foster parents found me, brought me home, filled my belly, gave me a bath and showed me kindness. Since then, I’ve slowly started letting my little personality shine through. ❤️
Read more about Daisy
I’m still a quiet, sweet girl who absolutely loves attention. The second I hear my foster parents’ voices, my tail starts wagging. It doesn’t take much to make me happy—I’m just grateful to finally know what it feels like to be cared for.
I’m also your classic Beagle! If I catch the scent of a squirrel or rabbit trail, that Beagle nose immediately goes to work!
I do well with my foster siblings, a Frenchie and a Jack Russell, and I don’t mind cats either. My foster family has children who can sometimes be loud and energetic, and that doesn’t bother me.
More than anything, I’m looking for someone calm, patient and kind.
My foster family believes I probably spent most, if not all, of my life living outside and being neglected. I don’t know why that was the life I was given, but despite everything I’ve been through, I still trust. I still love. And I still want a family of my own.
I’m ready to learn what it means to be someone’s beloved dog instead of the dog who was forgotten.
I don’t need anything fancy. I just need someone willing to show me the compassion, love and companionship I should have had all along.
❤️ Will you be the person who finally gives me my chance? ❤️”
PLEASE SHARE DAISY! Somewhere out there is the family she has been waiting her whole life to find.

UPDATE!!✨
Meet Bunny! This cutie came to us from a local overcrowded shelter. She was picked up as a stray with a terrible broken leg that had to be amputated. It’s believed she was hit by a car. Despite all she’s been through, this girl is the sweetest. She’s a heeler/terrier. She’s 6-9 months and 18 lbs. She may be a tripod but that doesn’t slow her down. She’s great with cats, dogs and kids. Will use a doggy door, doesn’t mind a crate and is the perfect family companion. She’s utd, spayed and ready for her forever home!

How has this adorable little fuzzball not found his forever family yet?!

Rudy doesn’t meet a stranger! He loves people, loves other animals, and is just an all-around happy little guy. He has the perfect combination of being active and playful while also knowing how to settle down and relax.
His foster has some pretty amazing things to say about him:

Rudy is UTD, neutered, and READY TO GO!
We truly think this boy could make an incredible family dog. Whether it’s playing outside, going on adventures, learning new tricks, wrestling with a canine sibling, or curling up with his people afterward, Rudy is ready for all of it!
Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply! We work to find the best match for each individual animal.

22. Breezy
Meet Breezy! This two-year-old German Shepherd is an absolute sweetheart — affectionate, gentle, and loves meeting new people and soaking up all the attention. He's settled beautifully with his foster family's resident German Shepherds so would most likely enjoy being in a home with other friendly and playful dogs.
Breezy is calm and easygoing at home, incredibly intelligent, and a joy to train. He is on medication to help with separation anxiety— his adopter would simply continue that protocol. As of now, separation anxiety is no longer an issue for him!

24. Buffy
Buffy is a 13-year-old Shih Tzu with the heart of a teddy bear and the soul of a professional napper. Buffy came to us in 2023 after her beloved owner entered hospice care.Buffy is truly a love bug. She adores people, loves being a lap dog, and would happily spend her days snoozing beside you or curled up in bed at night. She gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and small children making her an easy addition to most homes. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her humans.Over the years, we worked hard to solve Buffy’s allergy issues and finally discovered she is allergic to grass, lamb, and coconut.
Read more about Buffy
Thankfully, she is now doing great on medication and her adopter will receive a full year supply of Zenrelia to help keep her comfortable. Buffy is also an absolute professional at taking her medicine especially if cheese or a pill pocket is involved.Buffy does have some special needs that come with being a senior lady. She is visually impaired and has limited depth perception, which means she can accidentally tumble off beds or couches if left unattended. She also doesn’t love having her face groomed or her eyes cleaned, though she behaves beautifully for the rest of her spa day. Buffy is also hard of hearing… selectively, of course. She may ignore loud noises during nap time, but somehow can still hear a snack bag from another room.Speaking of snacks....if food exists anywhere nearby, Buffy firmly believes she deserves some too. Her nose is fully operational and always on duty.Buffy is fully housetrained and does best going outside every 6 hours during the day, though she happily sleeps through the night. She is looking for a loving home that understands senior dogs deserve comfort, patience, and lots of soft places to nap.If you’re searching for a sweet, loyal companion who will fill your home with love, snuggles, and a little bit of comedy, Buffy may be your perfect match.PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI. We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states. Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. Adopting a dog with children in Gulfport
Bring the whole family to meet the dog before you adopt, and ask the rescue how the dog behaves around children your kids' ages.
Teach children to let the dog come to them, to stroke gently, and to leave the dog alone while it's eating or sleeping. Give the dog a bed or crate of their own to retreat to, and always supervise young children with a new dog.
Relaxed adult dogs are often a better match for young children than puppies, which jump up, nip and chew while they learn.
