4. Winnie

Adult (2 years) · Female · Wheaten Terrier / Schnauzer (long coat)

Winnie has no idea that she’s special — but she is. To her, she’s just a happy, playful dog living her best life. Winnie was born with a cerebellum that didn’t fully develop in utero, a condition believed to be cerebellar hypoplasia. This affects her balance and gives her a uniquely wobbly, slightly unsteady way of walking. It doesn’t cause her pain, and it certainly doesn’t dim her spirit. Winnie is, without question, the happiest dog her foster family has ever met.

Read more about Winnie

For the most part, Winnie is a normal dog: she plays, she explores, she loves her people, and she radiates joy. She simply needs a family willing to love and care for her exactly as she is — wobbles and all.

Winnie would thrive in a home with another gentle dog her size or larger who can play with her, keep her company, and help her feel secure. She adores canine friends and blossoms with companionship.

Winnie is up to date on all vaccines and preventatives, has been spayed, and is microchipped. Any children in the home should be at least 8 years of age. She also requires a fenced in yard, physical fencing attached to the home

Winnie doesn’t know she’s different — she only knows she’s loved. If you’re looking for a dog who will brighten your home with pure happiness and endless heart, Winnie may be the perfect match.

5. Ernest

Adult (3 years) · Male · Terrier / Dachshund / Mixed (medium coat)

Ernest is an approximately 3‑year‑old sweetheart with a calm, affectionate nature and a touch of playful confidence. He has an absolutely adorable little underbite that makes him look like he’s smiling all the time, and it suits his gentle, goofy charm perfectly. He can be a bit bossy with dogs who don’t like to listen, but in a home with well‑mannered canine companions, he settles in beautifully.

Read more about Ernest

When Ernest first arrived in foster care, he wanted to be close to his people without actually touching. With patience and reassurance, he has blossomed into a cuddler. He’ll happily stretch out on your chest for a bit before sliding over to relax right beside you. His foster family has loved watching him learn that affection is safe and comforting.

Ernest enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home, and he will do best in a home with at least one friendly canine companion. He thrives with dogs who are kind, confident, and not easily pushed around.

Ernest is up to date on all vaccines and preventatives, has been microchipped, and is neutered. Because of his coat type, he will require regular professional grooming, and his ideal family will have experience with maintaining a dog who needs consistent coat care.

Ernest is a gentle, loving boy who’s ready for a family that will continue helping him grow in confidence and enjoy the comfort of companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet dog with a tender heart, a playful spirit, and a smile that never quits, Ernest may be the perfect addition to your home.

7. Pebbles

Young (5 months 6 days) · Female · Beagle / Hound / Mixed (short coat)

Pebbles is a young, spirited beagle girl who doesn’t let anything slow her down — not even the fact that she’s missing her right rear foot. Her veterinarian has confirmed she’s healthy and thriving; she simply needs her leg wrapped or covered with a bootie during play and outdoor time to keep it protected. Pebbles doesn’t mind one bit. She’s far too busy exploring, learning, and having fun.

This sharp little lady loves to play and has a confident, sometimes bossy streak. Because she’s a beagle with a nose that can lead her into mischief, Pebbles requires a securely fenced yard attached to the home to keep her safe during outdoor time.

8. Cali

Young (11 months) · Female · Belgian Shepherd Malinois / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Cali!
❤️

Sweet, smart, loving, and always ready to make a new friend — that’s Cali!

Cali is the kind of dog who makes it easy to fall in love with her. She absolutely loves people and welcomes new friends with a happy, friendly personality. But what makes Cali really special is her desire to please and her genuine love of being loved.

Read more about Cali

She is housebroken, crate trained, and wonderfully well behaved. Cali is comfortable spending a normal workday in her crate and settles in beautifully, making her a great companion for someone who works outside the home. She is also a relatively quiet girl, so she doesn't need to be the center of attention all the time.

Cali is smart and eager to learn. She has attended training classes with her foster canine brothers and did exceptionally well. She already knows her basic commands and picks up new things quickly. Her foster family has been impressed by how much she wants to please.

She also has a wonderful history with both dogs and young children. When she was first found, Cali lived with two Australian Shepherds and did very well with them. She also spent two months living with children ages 3 and 5 and was terrific with them. She takes everyday noises and activity in stride.

Cali enjoys a good walk and is excellent on leash, but she also loves having a yard where she can explore and enjoy herself. She would be happy in a home with a fenced yard, but she could also do well without one as long as she gets regular walks and exercise.

Cali would be perfectly happy as an only dog, but she really enjoys canine companionship, so she'd also love having a doggy friend. She has not yet been exposed to cats, so that would be something to consider when finding her perfect home.

Most of all, Cali wants a family to love and a family who will love her back. She is affectionate, adaptable, eager to please, and just an all-around wonderful girl. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a training partner, a couch companion, or simply a loving member of the family, Cali is ready to be your girl.

Cali is ready to find the people she can love for the rest of her life. Could that be you? ❤️

9. Nessa

Puppy (5 months 18 days) · Female · Labrador Retriever / Giant Schnauzer / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Nessa! We think she could be a mix of Lab or Great Dane and some sort of wiry-haired terrier, but whatever she is, her paws tell us she's going to be a great big beautiful girl. Good thing she's such a sweetheart who loves to learn. Nessa requests your treats and chin scratches and she can provide giant cuddles as payment!

Read more about Nessa

In her foster home, she's house trained, knows some basic commands like sit/down, and takes treats gently. She's learning to walk politely on a leash and sleeps well in her crate at night. She loves to chase the ball, but she hasn't yet gotten the hang of bringing it back. During the day, she's still learning that her crate can be her safe place because she loves to be with people. Having another dog in the home could help her feel more confident when her people leave the house.

Nessa is current on vaccines and microchipped.

10. Powerade

Young (3 years 9 months) · Male · Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Powerade

Powerade is a 3-year-old yellow lab mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. He might start off a little shy, but give him a minute (and maybe a treat), and suddenly you’ve got a full-blown Velcro dog who thinks your personal space is a myth.

Read more about Powerade

Pow may have had a rough start, judging by some of his scars - but he’s well on his way to a happier life! His luck began to change one cold, December day when he ran into the Food Lion on Alamance Church Rd in Greensboro, seeking warmth and help. GCAS Animal Control picked him up and brought him to the shelter, even allowing him to ride shotgun on the way there! After some time at GCAS he began to show signs of stress and was able to go to foster.

While in foster, we’ve learned that this guy is the total package:
- House trained
- Crate trained
- Walks nicely on leash
- Knows “sit” (especially if snacks are involved)
- Treat and toy motivated (fetch = his love language)

Once he warms up, Powerade is goofy, playful, and so affectionate. He loves a good game of fetch just as much as he loves melting into you for snuggles. He will follow you room to room just to make sure he’s not missing out (can we say FOMO?)

Pow does have a couple of endearing quirks:

Occasionally jumps up when he’s excited, but redirects beautifully into a sit

Can be a little “mouthy” in an affectionate, playful way—he uses his mouth to explore the world, and responds well to gentle correction

Powerade would thrive in a home that understands his sensitive side:

Has done well with kids as young as 3, but due to his size and occasional jumping up would likely do best with older kids or adults

No cats or small animals (that retriever instinct is strong)

Could potentially live with another dog with very slow, thoughtful introductions, but may also be happiest as your one-and-only. He has done well with other dogs in public spaces and frequently “buddy walks” with friends in the neighborhood.

Health note: Powerade previously tested heartworm positive while at the shelter, but now has a negative test!

What makes Powerade truly special is his heart. This boy has been through a lot, but you’d never know it by how deeply he loves. He is trusting, loyal, and endlessly affectionate—a certified good boy who just wants someone to belong to.

If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly shadow with a playful streak and a heart of gold… Powerade might just be your perfect match.

11. Hank

Adult (5 years 2 months) · Male · Beagle / Basset Hound / Mixed (short coat)

Hank is a 5‑year‑old beagle mix with a heart as sweet as they come. Despite a very difficult start to life, he has held onto his gentle nature and his love for people. His past left him with permanent scarring from having his mouth cruelly tethered shut, but Hank’s spirit is remarkably intact — he greets kindness with trust, warmth, and quiet gratitude.

Read more about Hank

When he entered rescue, Hank needed extensive dental care and tested positive for heartworm. He is receiving all necessary treatment, and he will complete every step before leaving foster care. Through it all, he has remained patient, affectionate, and eager to be close to the humans who show him compassion.

Hank gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company. His calm, friendly demeanor makes him an easy companion, whether he’s relaxing at your feet or exploring the yard with a canine friend.

This brave boy is ready for a home where he can finally experience the safety, comfort, and love he’s always deserved. If you’re looking for a deeply sweet, resilient dog who will reward your kindness with unwavering loyalty, Hank may be the perfect match.

As a beagle, Hank requires a securely fenced yard with physical fencing attached to the home. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated.

12. Tiki

Puppy (4 months 17 days) · Plott Hound

NOTE: Tiki is a courtesy listed dog. Best Friend Pet Adoption is helping to find a home for this handsome dog. Please do not submit an application to Best Friend Pet Adoption. For more information about this dog, please contact winfield.beverley@gmail.com.

Tiki is a world traveler and has frequent flyer miles already! He came all the way from St. Croix with a dream to find his forever family. Could you give this cute guy his dream come true??

Read more about Tiki

Tiki is a fast learner and loves to play with other dogs. He looks forward to seeing his friends at doggie day care. He has been around cats and wants to play with them. Tiki could live with other dogs or could be an only dog.

He can be a bit timid around new people but once he realizes that he is safe, he will be your friend. Very young children tend to make him wary. He would do best with older children. He will cuddle some, but isn’t a lap dog, though he loves to hang out with his people.

He would love a fenced yard but would be fine being on a leash for walks and his potty breaks. Since Tiki can be vocal at times, he would not be suited for apartment living.

Tiki is almost totally house broken when taken out for potty breaks regularly. He is used to being in a puppy pen when he is left alone.

He likes car rides and going places. He is full of energy and likes to play, so would be great for an active home. If you are ready to toss a ball or run around with him, please contact Beverley at winfield.beverley@gmail.com.

DISCLAIMER: We hope you'll consider adopting Tiki. He is a courtesy listed dog. This means that the dog is not a part of or associated with Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA). The bio information listed for Tiki was provided by his owner/rescuer and not generated or verified by BFPA. Adoption arrangements will be a private arrangement between you and the owner/rescuer. 13. Joey

Young (1 year 3 months) · Male · Chihuahua / Pomeranian / Mixed (long coat)

Up in the sky! Look! It's a Pomeranian! It's a Chihuahua! It's Joey! Joey is a year old, eight pound, long-haired Chi-pom mix, and his energetic personality matches this medley of furballs.

Joey was found as a stray in a cage with 6 or 7 other similar-looking dogs. He is not used to living indoors with humans, but he is slowly becoming confident. He has learned a lot in the meantime: to settle in his crate, to take walks on a leash, and to play with his toys independently.

Read more about Joey

Joey loves chasing dragonflies and army-crawling in tall grass. He loves sprinting in the yard and chewing on collagen sticks and yak cheese. He especially loves his snuffle mat!
There are a few quirks about Joey that will take patience from his future humans. Although he has learned to toilet outdoors, he hasn’t quite gotten over some handling issues. Fear and excitement cause him to have little accidents. Thankfully, he is very small and has gotten used to wearing a belly band. Joey also needs to be closely watched as he enjoys jumping from high places and will need to be discouraged from parkouring. But hey, that means he might be great for an agility course!

Joey is young and acts like a puppy, so obedience training is a must. He should not be in a home with children younger than 10. He enjoys sprinting outside and would be best in a home with a big, physically-fenced yard.

Mai Mai is searching for a loving home with a securely fenced yard, as she is not yet leash-trained and needs a safe outdoor space to explore at her own pace. She would thrive in a patient household that can help her continue to build confidence and learn new routines.

Read more about Chip

Chip is an adorable 4-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 9 pounds. His coarse coat is low maintenance and low to no shed.

Chip is an active, athletic terrier who loves toys and is good at entertaining himself. He would make a great companion for someone who enjoys walking or is interested in clicker training. Like most terriers, he'll bark when there's something worth announcing, and he is undeterred by his tiny size.

Chip is initially unsure when he meets new people, but learned quickly to trust his foster mom and other women. He is slower to trust men, so his adopter will need to be patient and allow him time to adjust at his pace.

Because Chip is quick and can dart through open doors, his new family must be vigilant around exterior doorways.

The ideal home for Chip would be with someone who has experience going slow and moving at Chip’s pace and wants to bond with a dog through training and enrichment activities.
Chip has made great progress with house training in his foster home, and needs a patient person to continue his routine and training.

Chip will do best as an only dog; however, he has learned to co-exist peacefully in his foster home.

Please email h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and a $500 adoption fee.

16. Bruno

Adult (6 years) · Male · Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Bruno! At 6 years old, Bruno has the perfect balance of playful energy and laidback companionship. He's been waiting far too long for his forever family, and everyone who knows him agrees—it's finally his turn. This handsome, happy boy weighs about 65 pounds and has an infectious smile that's impossible to resist.

With one ear standing tall and the other adorably flopped over, Bruno is as unique on the outside as he is on the inside. While he isn't exactly lap dog sized, don't tell him that! He loves being close to his people, soaking up affection, handing out sweet kisses, and claiming his favorite spot right beside you on the couch.

Read more about Bruno

Bruno has settled beautifully into foster care and has shown everyone what makes him such a special companion. He's fully house trained, crate trained, and is perfectly content relaxing in his crate when left home alone. Around the house, he's an easygoing guy who enjoys lounging on the couch, chewing on a frozen treat, or entertaining himself with his toy collection. His absolute favorite? A Lamb Chop stuffie!

Bruno would thrive as the only dog in his home, where he can soak up all the love and attention. While he's not looking for a busy multi-dog household, he has shown that he can enjoy the company of respectful female dogs. He has made several female dog friends and loves having supervised play sessions with them, as long as they respect his pace and personal space. Because of this, we'd be happy to discuss a home with the right easygoing female dog, but Bruno's ideal match is a family where he can be the center of attention.

He enjoys walks and does well on leash, though he's still working on polishing his leash manners when he gets excited. He also loves chasing thrown toys, even if bringing them back is still a work in progress! Due to his size and enthusiastic personality, Bruno would do best in a home with children ages 10 and older. Bruno has spent far too much time waiting for someone to choose him.

At 6 years old, he's past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of life, love, and playful moments to share. He's ready for a family that will appreciate his goofy personality, loyal heart, and love of life's simple pleasures—like couch cuddles, stuffed toys, and spending time with his favorite humans.

Polly has settled in beautifully and has been an absolute sweetheart! She loves belly rubs and is happiest when she’s curled up or sitting right beside her person. She’s incredibly affectionate and never misses an opportunity to hand out plenty of kisses.

She walks nicely on a leash with very little pulling and is highly food and treat motivated, always taking treats gently. She loves her toys, especially a good game of fetch!

Polly already knows several commands, including sit, shake, come, down, kiss, walk, no, and crate.

She would thrive as the only pet in the home. While she is non-reactive to dogs and cats when on a leash, she is not a fan of living with cats. Polly also loves the water! She enjoys swimming and has even gone paddle boating with a previous foster.

20. Chase

Adult (6 years 2 months) · Male · Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

IMPORTANT NOTE: We ONLY post our dogs on Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet! If you see Hart-2-Heart dogs on ANY OTHER platform, it is likely a SCAM - DO NOT submit an application on that platform!

-----------

The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA, northern GA, DC area, southern MD and east TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee.

-----------

Chase is a fun-sized 5lb Yorkie who is 6 years old. He is a great cuddler and the perfect lap buddy.

Read more about Chase

Chase can be shy when you first meet him. He came to us as a breeder-release dog, having never lived in a home as someone’s beloved pet. Many dogs like this have never been on a leash or set foot on grass to potty. Chase was a little reserved in the beginning, but since adjusting to his foster family, he has really come to life.

Chase is smart and curious. He’s always smiling and gets excited when you talk or play chase with him. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. We require his adoptive home to have another small social dog under 12lbs so he can continue to watch and learn from another dog in the home.

Chase is still learning house-training and leash walking, so he will need someone with time and patience to help him be successful. We require an all-adult home with a small, securely fenced yard. The fenced yard is not so he can be left alone, but to help with house-training, since most pups do not want someone hovering over them when trying to potty. Chase is trying to learn how to use stairs, so we prefer a home with limited to no stairs.

There is an application process and adoption fee.

WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps with no larger than 1.5 inches. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.

We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.

Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.

Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.

Adoption Fee: $500

21. Etta

Adult (3 years 4 months) · Female · French Bulldog (short coat)

Etta only had one reason for being wanted in her previous life- she was a breeder. Unfortunately, producing puppies for profit isn't something that also afforded her the love and care she deserved in her previous life. Etta's ears no longer stand up due to severe untreated infections. Etta chose not to compete with all of the other dogs she lived with for food, so she was underweight when she entered foster care. Despite these conditions, Etta is a total love bug. She deserves the RIGHT family to spend her days with, and that is exactly what she will have.

Read more about Etta

Etta has been spayed, micro chipped, and is up to date on all preventative medications. She also had a soft palate surgery and nasal stenosis, to help her breathe better. She has allergies, so she will require regular visits to the vet to deal with them, as needed. She will need to stay on a fatty acid and joint supplement, and will require special food and daily probiotics- for life. There is no such thing as an inexpensive French Bulldog, so please be sure you not only have the means- but the willingness, to afford her CARE. An experienced dog owner is a must (with an impeccable vet reference), preference will be given to those who are familiar with Brachycephalic breeds and the special care they require.

Etta has occasional zoomies, and she would love another dog to wrestle with (she will adjust her play to the size of her companion), and loves a leisurely early morning walk when the temperature is safe for her to be outside- but otherwise she is a snoring, snorting, flatulence filled- couch potato. She adores her people, so someone who isn't gone for long hours is a plus. When you are gone, she is crate trained and loves a stuffed kong to keep her busy. She is good with cats, but would do best with a dog savvy cat. Etta is a "private pooper", she chooses the outskirts of the yard to potty, so she requires a secure fenced in yard (physical fencing only, please) to keep up her good potty habits. All children in the home should be 10 and over, she gets a bit too excited with wee children.

For the RIGHT home, Etta will be a fabulous addition. She has spent her limited time on this earth giving everything to humans who didn't appreciate her. Now it's Etta's turn to have her needs met. We know her wish list is long, we aren't looking for average- Etta deserves the BEST.

22. Maddison

Adult (3 years) · Female · Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet “Madi,” a beautiful dog who is looking for a family to call her own! After suffering a terrible injury last year, Madi bravely underwent a leg amputation. She has adapted beautifully as a tripod and doesn’t let it slow her down!

She enjoys going for walks and loves going for rides in the car. She likes toys and will happily entertain herself with them before curling up on a comfy bed or a cozy lap for a nap.

Read more about Maddison

While she has so much love to give, she will need a patient and understanding family who can help her continue building confidence. New environments and unfamiliar situations can make her nervous, and she is sometimes reactive when seeing people through a barrier like a window or gate. She would be happiest in a calm home without young children. Because she is uneasy around other animals, she would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can feel safe and secure without added stress. Madi is not a fan of cats and should be in a cat-free home.

23. Moe

Adult (1 year 6 months) · Male · Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Moe!

❤️

Hi! My name is

Moe

, and I’m the sweetest, goofiest boy you’ll ever meet! At just

1 year old

, I’m still a puppy with lots of love, energy, and personality to share.

Right now, I’m in need of a foster or forever family. If I don’t find one soon, I’ll have to go into boarding. That would make me incredibly sad because my favorite place is right by my people. I’m hoping someone will open their heart and home to me!

Here’s a little about me:

I LOVE to play! Tug, fetch, rope toys—you name it! I’ll even bring you my favorite rope toy to let you know it’s playtime.

Read more about Moe

I’m a handsome guy with beautiful reddish-fawn coloring, stunning eyes, and the cutest ears you’ve ever seen.

I sleep quietly in my crate at night and settle nicely when tethered in the house. I even enjoy relaxing to soothing music! I’d make a great work-from-home buddy, but I’m also comfortable being crated when you need to leave.

I’m not reactive on walks around dogs, cars, strollers, or other distractions. I can be a little strong on leash at first, but I settle down as the walk continues, especially in quieter environments.

I’d love a fenced yard or an active family because playing and exploring are some of my favorite things!

I’m dog-friendly and enjoy having playful canine companions who like to romp as much as I do.

I’m affectionate, lovable, and convinced I’m the perfect lap dog—all 55 pounds of me!

Sometimes I get so excited to see my people that I jump up to say hello. I’m still learning that four paws on the floor is the best way to greet people, so I’d do best with older children while I work on my manners.

I’m a smart boy who loves treats, wants to please, and enjoys learning. With a little guidance and consistency, I’ll make an amazing companion.

I’m just looking for a family who will love me, help me continue learning, and let me be the happy puppy I’m meant to be.

Can you foster or adopt me so I don’t have to go to boarding?

If you’re interested in Moe, please complete an adoption or foster application at

24. Echo

Adult (2 years 8 months) · Female · Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Echo is a 2-year old, 44 lb bundle of sweetness, silliness & personality. She’s spayed, up to date with her shots, and ready to find a home that will love her playful spirit & help her continue to grow.

Echo is equal parts affectionate companion & goofy entertainer. She’ll keep you smiling with her little antics-like proudly ‘borrowing’ a sneaker from the front door & carrying it into the living room like she’s just won a prize (don’t worry she’s more about the fun than the destruction if you catch her in time!).

Read more about Echo

She’s currently in foster with two resident dogs who are older, and while kind & tolerant, are not quite able to keep up with her youthful energy & antics.

What makes her special:

- Crate trained & sleeps through the night

- Potty trained & will signal when she’s ready to go out

- Finds comfort in her crate for naps & downtime

- Food motivated (she loves treats, which makes training fun & effective)

- Can entertain herself with Kongs & durable chews

- Sweet, affectionate, and enjoys being close to her people

- Loves relaxing outdoors-especially perched on outdoor furniture like she owns it

What’s she’s still working on:

- Pulls on leash and would benefit from continued leash training

- Gets excited & may jump up when greeting you

- Still learning not to counter surf

- Not gentle with soft toys-she prefers the tough stuff

Echo is a smart, loving dog who thrives with a bit of structure & consistency. She’s already got a great foundation & with continued guidance will make an incredible loyal & fun companion.

Her ideal home:

Someone who will embrace her playful nature, committed to helping her continued learning and give her guidance & affection. She’ll do best with someone patient, engaged & ready for a dog with personality.

Adopting a dog in Caswell County

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the dog, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your dog in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior dogs are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate dog, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Puppies go quickly, so if you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon. Ask how big they're expected to grow, and plan for plenty of house-training and training in the first few months.
