6. I-Hop

Puppy · Male · American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed

I-Hop is an adorable pup full joy and love - and he is waiting to spend forever with you! He absolutely adores being held and snuggled up close. He is the best of both worlds - sleeping on your shoulder (his favorite spot), but also always up for a playful game. Like any puppy, he is still learning that puppy teeth are for toys only, but he’s easily redirected.

He’s very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze!I-Hope is likely to grow into a small to medium-sized dog.If you’re looking for a sweet and unique, happy-go-lucky pup who’s ready to be your car co-pilot and sure to bring a lot of joy to your life - apply to meet I-Hop.

Weight: 11 lbs.

Crate-Trained: Yes

Energy Level: Medium
Fence Required: Yes (he loves to play and explore his yard)
Dog's Location: Chinquapin, NC

About Chopper’s Breed:

Read more about Chopper

Our best guess is that Chopper is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mixed breed. Chihuahua/Dachshund mixes, often affectionately called "Chiweenies," are known for their loyal, loving personalities and big-dog confidence in a small package. They often combine the Chihuahua's devotion to their people with the Dachshund's playful, curious nature, creating a companion who loves both adventure and cuddle time. Chiweenies tend to form strong bonds with their families and are happiest when included in daily activities.

Their ideal home is one that provides plenty of companionship, gentle guidance, and regular opportunities for exercise and exploration. Many Chihuahua/Dachshund mixes enjoy daily walks, time spent outdoors, and cozy evenings snuggled up with their favorite people. They often thrive in homes that appreciate their affectionate nature and can provide a balance of activity, routine, and lots of love.

What to Love about Chopper:

Chopper is the definition of sweet and gentle. At 3 years old and 11 pounds, this handsome long-haired Chihuahua/Dachshund mix has a loving, sensitive soul and is happiest when he's close to his favorite people. Whether he's curled up in your lap, snuggled beside you on the couch, or soaking up pets and attention, Chopper's favorite place is wherever you are! He can be a little shy when meeting new people and may startle at loud noises or unfamiliar situations, but once he realizes he's safe, his happy, affectionate personality shines through.

Chopper has excellent house manners and is both potty trained and crate trained. Like some male dogs, he occasionally struggles with marking, but with consistency, positive reinforcement, and a predictable routine, he continues to make great progress. He's trustworthy when left out of his crate while you're away and is an easy, low-maintenance companion around the house.

One of Chopper's favorite things in the world is spending time outdoors. He loves exploring the yard, going for daily walks, and enjoying the fresh air, which is why a securely fenced yard is a must for him. He has a wonderful medium energy level, enjoying activity without being overly demanding. A few walks, some outdoor playtime, and plenty of cuddle sessions are all it takes to make this boy happy!

Chopper gets along beautifully with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for a resident pup, but he'd also be perfectly content as your one-and-only furry friend. He's also cat-friendly and currently lives peacefully with cats in his foster home. Due to his sensitive nature and tendency to startle easily, he would do best in a home with children ages 10 and older who can respect his need for a calm environment.

This lovable little guy is ready to leave his past behind and find a forever family of his own. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who loves walks, enjoys the outdoors, and has endless love to give, Chopper may be the perfect addition to your family. He's ready to spend his days by your side and shower you with all the love his big heart has to offer!

Chopper’s Chart-topping Highlights:

• Gentle Soul – Chopper is an incredibly sweet, kind-hearted boy who loves affection and being close to his people.
• Professional Cuddle Buddy – Whether he's curled up in your lap or lounging beside you on the couch, Chopper is happiest near his favorite humans.
• Excellent on a Leash – He enjoys his daily walks and has wonderful leash manners.

8. Jinxy

Senior (8 years 11 months) · Male · Shih Tzu / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (medium coat)

Jinxy is the total package: Handsome, well-mannered, and a wonderful companion!

Read more about Jinxy

Quick Facts:
Name: Jinxy
Breed: Shih Tzu/Poodle Mix
Age: 9 years old
Weight: 25 lbs.
House-Trained: Yes
Crate-Trained: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes (but would prefer to be the only dog – he doesn’t really interact with other dogs)
Good with Cats: Not tested – but open to a meet and greet
Good with Kids: Yes (older kids over 10 due to his toy possessiveness)
Energy Level: Low
Fence Required: No
Dog's Location: Garner, NC
Special Needs: Jinxy came to the rescue with fungal dermatitis and has since been on antibiotics and keto for treatment. He is receiving two medicated baths weekly and is healing wonderfully! His hair and skin should make a full recovery. Additionally, he has a Grade III/IV heart murmur and moderate cataract changes bilaterally. He is also on Dasuquin for his joint health which is typical for his age.

About Jinxy’s Breed:
Our best guess is that Jinxy is a Shih Tzu/Poodle mixed breed. Shih Tzu-Poodle mixes, often called "Shipoos," are known for being affectionate, intelligent, and people-oriented companions. Combining the friendly, loving nature of the Shih Tzu with the intelligence of the Poodle, they often form strong bonds with their families and enjoy being involved in everyday activities. Many are adaptable dogs who can thrive in a variety of living situations, from apartments to larger homes, as long as they receive regular attention, companionship, and moderate exercise.

Their ideal home is one where they can be treated as a true member of the family. Shih Tzu-Poodle mixes typically enjoy daily walks, plenty of human interaction, and a comfortable place to relax near their favorite people. They often do well with adopters looking for a loyal companion who enjoys both quiet cuddle time and leisurely adventures around the neighborhood.

What to Love about Jinxy:
At 9 years young and 25 pounds, Jinxy is the total package: handsome, well-mannered, and wonderfully easy to live with. This Shih Tzu/Poodle mix has mastered the art of being a great companion. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and so smart that he puts himself in his crate when he sees his foster mom getting ready for the gym. Jinxy is a laid-back guy who loves people, enjoys a good routine, and is happiest spending time with his humans.

Besides being your shadow, Jinxy's favorite activity is going for walks. He's great on a leash and would love a forever family that enjoys taking a few leisurely strolls each day. He doesn't need a fenced yard or an active lifestyle full of adventures and excitement. A couple of daily walks, some quality time with his people, and a comfortable couch to relax on afterward are all he really needs to be happy! While he gets along fine with other dogs, he doesn't pay much attention to them and would be perfectly content as an only pet soaking up all the attention for himself.

This friendly boy loves everyone he meets and has a calm, adaptable personality that makes him an easy companion. He would do best in a quieter home and is recommended for families with children over 10 years old. Jinxy can be possessive of toys and prefers to keep his treasures to himself, so he'll need an adopter who understands his boundaries. Because he likes to chew and may swallow pieces of fabric toys, he should only have durable, non-destructible toys.

Jinxy does have a few simple maintenance needs to keep him feeling his best. He receives medicated baths twice a week for fungal dermatitis (he is improving and should make a full recovery soon) and takes Dasuquin to support his joint health. He also has a Grade III/IV heart murmur and has moderate cataract changes bilaterally. Other than that, he's a low-maintenance, easygoing dog who is ready to settle into his forever home.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who enjoys walks, loves human attention, and is just as happy cuddling on the couch as he is exploring the neighborhood, Jinxy may be your perfect

Chihuahuas are known for being devoted, affectionate companions who form strong bonds with their people. Despite being a puppy, Missy Jo has a surprisingly laid-back personality. She's lower energy than most pups her age and would much rather cuddle than spend the day bouncing off the walls. She hasn't had the chance to meet cats yet but is open to a proper introduction.

Missy Jo is about 95% potty trained and continues to do well with a consistent schedule and routine. She's crate trained, although she'd much prefer being close to her people, and she's making great progress with her leash skills too. Young · Male · German Shepherd Dog / Mixed

COURTESY POST !!! DO NOT APPLY TO RUSTY'S PLEASE APPLY HERE: Adoption Application Form https://share.google/UBQ9UhYNIlUmPIGtI HELP US FIND NEMO HIS HAPPY ENDING! Our sweet boy Nemo is just a couple of weeks away from graduating from his SIX-WEEK BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM, and we have one very important thing left to accomplish. WE NEED TO FIND HIM A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! Nemo has spent the last several weeks working incredibly hard to become the best version of himself. He's learned obedience, built confidence, improved his social skills, and made some truly amazing progress. But there's one thing we can't teach him in training.

Read more about Nemo

What it feels like to have a home of his very own. Nemo is an incredibly intelligent, affectionate, active boy who bonds deeply with his people. Once you're his person, you're HIS person, and he will absolutely adore you. He's also got a few quirks, and we want to be completely transparent about what his perfect home looks like. Children 15 and older: Nemo does best with people who understand boundaries and can respect his personal space. No small animals: While Nemo does well with other dogs, smaller animals aren't a good fit for him. Dog friendly: With proper introductions, Nemo enjoys other dogs! He has a particularly funny fascination with black, fluffy dogs. Apparently, our handsome boy has a type! A quieter household: Nemo would thrive in a home with a predictable routine, a little peace and quiet, and people he can build a strong relationship with. An active family: Hiking, running, exploring, and outdoor adventures? Nemo would LOVE that! He's a smart, energetic boy who enjoys having things to do. Supervised outdoor time: Nemo is quite the talented fence climber! Although his recall has improved tremendously, he still needs supervision and secure handling outdoors. Continued respect for his boundaries: Nemo has made wonderful progress with meeting new people and navigating public environments. He just needs strangers to approach appropriately and give him a chance to feel comfortable. AND THE BEST PART? NEMO COMES WITH LIFETIME TRAINING SUPPORT! We're not simply handing Nemo over with a list of commands and wishing everyone good luck. His new family will receive: Lifetime refresher training sessions Help from his trainer during his transition into his new home Guidance on maintaining his obedience and continuing his progress Support to help Nemo and his new family build a wonderful relationship We have invested six weeks into helping Nemo succeed, and we're committed to making sure that success continues long after graduation. Now, here's the part that breaks our hearts. Nemo does not do well in a traditional boarding environment. He struggles emotionally, becomes withdrawn, and simply isn't the same happy, affectionate dog we see when he's able to spend time with people and participate in everyday life. We've watched him blossom throughout his training. We've seen his personality shine, his confidence grow, and his ability to navigate the world improve. The thought of him finishing all this hard work only to return to a kennel is absolutely devastating. Nemo deserves to graduate into a HOME, not back into boarding. He doesn't need a perfect family. He needs the right family. Someone patient. Someone active. Someone who appreciates a dog with a big personality, a huge heart, and a few little quirks. Someone who understands that rescue dogs aren't always perfect, but they are absolutely worth the effort. And if you're not quite ready to adopt? FOSTERING NEMO WOULD BE JUST AS INCREDIBLE! Giving him somewhere comfortable to land while we search for his forever family would mean the world to us and, more importantly, to Nemo. NEMO'S NEXT CHAPTER IS WAITING! 27. Stefan

Adult (2 years) · Male · Airedale Terrier / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (medium coat)

Hi there! I’m Stefan, a 2-year-old Airedale Terrier, and yes, I’m a tripod. But if you think that’s going to stop me from living my best life, you clearly haven’t met me yet!

I may be missing a leg, but I’m not missing a single bit of that big terrier personality. I’m ready for adventures, fun, and all the love my forever family has to offer. After all, being a tripod is just one little detail about me. It doesn’t define who I am!

My story began in a place no dog should ever have to call home.

I was one of more than 20 dogs rescued from a puppy mill in South Carolina, and when I arrived, I was in heartbreaking shape.

Read more about Stefan

The world is still a scary place for me. I’m learning that people can be kind, that gentle hands can bring comfort, and that life can be so much more than simply surviving. I may be shut down right now, but deep inside, there is a little dog who deserves to feel safe, loved, and cherished.

Thanks to Pawfect Match, I finally have a chance to discover what it means to be a dog. My healing will take time, patience, and understanding, but dogs are remarkably resilient, and I’m proof that even the most wounded hearts can begin to heal. I just need someone willing to give me a chance, meet me where I am, and help me discover the beautiful life I’ve always deserved.

28. Charlie

Adult (7 years) · Male · Dachshund / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (short coat)

Charlie is a sweet little Dachshund mix who came from a breeder surrender, and he’s ready to discover just how wonderful life can be outside that world.

His idea of a perfect day? You, a cozy lap, and a good movie or book. He’s perfectly happy snuggling for hours, as long as he can be close to his favorite human. Honestly, personal space is not really his thing!

Read more about Charlie

Charlie is a quiet, well-mannered little gentleman. He’s non-destructive, sleeps peacefully all night in his crate (as long as it’s in the room with his people), and is an absolute star for grooming. Put his harness on the floor, and he’ll even step right into it like the polite little fellow he is!

He’s learning to explore the big world outside, but for now, he’d much rather keep his walks close to you. He gets along with other dogs with slow, proper introductions, and he has one very important weakness: CHEESE. The way to Charlie’s heart may very well be through the cheese drawer.

Charlie is looking for a loving home where he can be someone’s little shadow, cuddle buddy, and loyal companion. If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who will happily keep your lap warm and your heart full, Charlie might just be your perfect match!
