4. Jethro
Young · Male · Maremma Sheepdog

Sweet and eager to please, Jethro is a gem of a dog. Having spent so much time in a shelter, he of course needs to learn the rules of the house, but is very receptive to correction (and treats!). During play, he is alert and observant of others boundaries. He has an excellent off switch; moving from play to down time inside is not an issue for this guy.Don't let his size fool you; he is a giant baby who wants nothing more than to cuddle in your lap. He is wary of cats (a kitten once hissed at him and he cowered into my arms) but young enough to learn that they are house mates. With time and training, he will be the perfect family pet.Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00.

Meet Meatball, a beautiful retriever mix around a year old who has already experienced more hardship than any dog should.Meatball was dumped at another facility that was already struggling with overcrowding. Despite everything she’s been through, she has maintained the most incredibly gentle, loving, and docile personality. And guys, when we say this girl is SWEET, we mean it!Meatball is genuinely one of those dogs who just seems to love everyone she meets. She does phenomenally with other dogs and adjusts beautifully to just about any playstyle, whether her friends are rambunctious or more laid-back.

She loves children, has shown little interest in our office cats, and is an absolute dream on a leash! She’s still a young dog who enjoys playing and having fun, but she’s not excessively energetic. She’s a wonderful balance of playful and laid-back, making her a great fit for so many different lifestyles.PLEASE DON’T LET HER HEARTWORM DIAGNOSIS SCARE YOU AWAY!We are covering 100% of the cost of Meatball’s heartworm treatment! All we need is someone willing to open their heart and home to this deserving girl, provide the TLC she needs, and give her a safe, loving place to recover.Meatball has spent enough of her short life being let down. We want the rest of her story to be filled with full bellies, soft beds, endless love, and a family who will never give up on her. She’s only a year old. She has her whole life ahead of her, and we desperately want that life to be a good one. ❤️We also want to take a moment to remind everyone just how important community support is. It is because of YOUR donations and continued support that we are able to pull dogs like Meatball who have medical needs that many already overwhelmed facilities simply don’t have the resources to take on. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us give animals like her a chance they might not have had otherwise. We truly could not do what we do without you, and Meatball is a perfect example of the lives your generosity helps us save. ❤️Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00. 9. Nacho
Adult (5 years 5 months) · Male · Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat)

Nacho was origionally rescued from a bad hoarding situation along with several others and had NO socialization (they lived like wild animals). Nacho was one of the lucky ones who was adopted into a great home butt sadly his owner became unable to care for him & we were asked to take him. Nacho has anxiety issues in new situations that he is unfamiliar with. When it becomes an every day thing, he is more comfortable with it. He pees just about every time he gets excited about anything. New people, being scolded, a new venue, greeting us when we come home, even waiting for me to fix his food! He does not like getting his feet wet or cold and does not like being rained on.
Read more about Nacho
Noises still bother him, like thunder, the planes that fly over, motorcycles, loud cars, and any beeping sound like microwave or oven. Nacho is really good on a leash and he and Max will walk together side-by-side. He loves for us to go out with him in the yard. Nacho is very sweet and now lets us get close to him, give him a kiss and put our hands over his head to hook his leash without cowering. He loves being rubbed and snoozing on a lap. He now sleeps very soundly and likes to be covered with a blanket at night. Nacho has not been exposed to children while with us but I don’t think small children would be a good idea because of his suspected breed (Chi mix) and jealousy. Nacho seems to like a companion and had to be taught that Max was here and there was no room for jealousy. He has learned tolerance, manners, and to slow down his eating. Nacho’s new adopter will need to understand and be willing to invest time to ensure that he adapts to a new household, acclimates to a new life and is given time to learn new routines without being punished for not meeting whatever standards they have set ahead of time.

16. Bunny
Adult (8 years 1 month) · Female · Corgi / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Bunny – the Tiny One-Eyed Queen
Bunny has perfected the "get off my lawn" look, and frankly, she's earned it. This little lady comes with one eye, a whole lot of opinions, and enough sass to keep everyone in line.
She's spayed, fully ready for her forever home, and while she does have a chronic ear infection that requires ongoing medication, she takes it all in stride... well, as much as an old lady with attitude can.
Bunny isn't looking for chaos. She dreams of a cozy bed, a predictable routine, and humans who appreciate a dog with a little extra personality. She may not shower you with kisses every five minutes, but when Bunny decides you're her person, you'll have the privilege of serving royalty.
If you're looking for a tiny senior with big character, hilarious expressions, and the confidence of someone who knows she's always right, Bunny is waiting to rule your heart—and probably your couch.
Adopt Bunny.
