Dogs for Adoption in Mission Bend, TX: 20 Dogs Looking for a Home

My social life: My foster brother Jax and I are tug-of-war besties, and we could play all day. I'd probably be happiest in a home with another playful pup to wrestle with. I also met some neighbor kids and was a total gentleman!

Still working on: Leash walking. The world is just SO exciting, and I'm learning that we don't have to sniff all of it at once. A patient human and some practice will help me get there.

If you want a goofy, loving sidekick who will make you laugh, follow you everywhere, and keep your couch warm, I'm your guy.

Ask about adopting Samu today!

I am really a lover-boy at heart. I am a world champion at wiggling my whole body with excitement. I'll show you the best of my wiggling abilities every single time you walk through the door and say hello to me again! I also show off my wiggling to new friends; did I mention I love meeting new people?

I would really love to be in a home with another dog. I really feel safe and comforted in the presence of a good friend, and possibly future sibling! I also love kids too, so if you have little ones in the family, I am very patient and promise I would be a fantastic brother to them. I have not spent too much time around kitty cats, but I don't have much of a prey drive. I'll let you know soon if I think I'd get along with your kitties.

I am fully house-trained and crate-trained - my crate is my safe and cozy space and I love to go in there to relax. I do need some guidance when walking on a leash, but I don't pull whatsoever!!

Thanks for reading about me so far, and I promise I will be back on here soon with more info for you! I hope I get to meet you and have a chance to show you some of my world class wiggles. If you have any questions so far, please reach out and ask to get in touch with my paw-sitively amazing foster, Riley.

Fur-real though, you're paw-some for taking the time to learn about me! I'm staying paw-sitive and hoping we can be friends fur-ever! HAVE A BOXER-RIFIC DAY!

loves attention and is happiest when she's close to her people. Whether she's soaking up cuddles, accepting treats for a job well done, or perfecting her lap dog skills, she wants to be part of the family. She has an adorable habit of hopping into your lap, turning around, and sitting back against you like a small child settling into their favorite chair. It's impossible not to smile when she does it!

She's food-motivated, eager to bond with those she trusts, and has a medium energy level.

Bella

tends to take her cues from the activity around her, happily joining in when it's playtime and settling down when it's time to relax. She sleeps quietly in her kennel at night and is comfortable being crated when her foster family is away.

Like many dogs who have experienced change,

Bella

still has a few things she's working on. Leashes can be a little scary, and car rides make her nervous, but she's making steady progress with gentle encouragement and patience. She is occasionally curious about toys, though she hasn't quite figured out how to play with them yet. We think she's saving that discovery for her future family to enjoy.

Bella

currently lives in a foster home with several other small dogs and enjoys their company. She seems to do well with most dogs and would likely thrive in a home with another friendly canine companion to help her continue building confidence. She has done well with children as young as 9 years old, though she'll appreciate a family willing to give her a little time to settle in and feel secure. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily curl up in your lap, lean back against you for snuggles, and remind you every day how rewarding a second chance can be,

Bella

Hazel is house trained, does well in her crate, and is happy to settle in and relax. She is hard of hearing and mostly blind (but it doesn’t slow her down at all!) and requires daily OTC eye drops for her "dry eye," but these are an easy part of her routine.
Hazel was found roaming in the middle of a street, and we’re so glad she’s now safe and getting the chance to show everyone what a wonderful companion she can be. She would love a calm home where she can enjoy the simple things in life: a cozy spot, some cuddles, and a person to call her own.
If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet, easygoing companion who can be independent one minute and a total cuddle bug the next, Hazel may be your girl!

Hershey is SMART! She knows commands including sit, stay, come here, shake, “get your bone,” and “get your toy.” She loves to play, play-wrestle, run (and she is FAST!), and have a blast with her favorite stuffed toys. She is also housetrained. When Hershey first came to us, she was very nervous, and it appeared that she may have been dumped. But as soon as she realized she was safe, her personality quickly came shining through. And what a personality it is!

Because of what appears to be some trauma in her past, we do have concerns about Hershey living with other animals or being around children, so she would do best in a home where those things aren't part of the picture. We think she deserves a person who can give her the attention, structure, and love she clearly craves.

Hershey is such a beautiful, intelligent, fun, and playful girl. She has an amazing smile, a goofy side, and so much love to give. Her rough start doesn't define her—the happy, silly, loving dog she is today does. Hershey is ready to find her person and start the next chapter of her life
