Max's owner passed away and he and his 2 brothers (not related) came to Diamond Dachshund Rescue. Max likes to be outside in the mornings before it gets too hot. He likes exploring the yard. He doesn't run and chase but likes to go where the other dogs are. Max came from a loving home and you can tell. Max loves laying on his foster mom's lap and napping. He is a cuddler and likes to be kissed. He sleeps on the big bed too! He really is a good and easy going boy!

Although the vet estimates he's around 2 years old, you'd never know it from his playful, goofy personality and endless enthusiasm for life. Rio loves to play with his toys--especially anything he can happily chew on--and while he's mostly learned that toys are for chewing, he still occasionally mistakes a sock for one.
